I’m gonna get fucked over tonight. I’m betting good money on it.[break][break]

A stifled yawn accompanied the otherwise silent thought, and - soon afterwards - had also been met in tandem with the gentle click of a switch, as well as the flash of light as it illuminated the hallways. Personally to him, he found himself more than lucky to be able to live outside of headquarters. While the layout he’d borne witness to within the hallways and the like had been far from shabby, there was always something about being able to return home alone. There was a sense of privacy he always relished.[break][break]

And yet, there he was, patrolling the dimmed hallways later in the night.[break][break]

The trip back hadn’t been too difficult, at the very least. All it took was no more than twenty minutes basking beneath the sheen and shine of the full moon overhead before he arrived, but it was really the context of his assignment that sounded more troubling, if anything. Foreign sounds. Odd occurrences. A recipe for disaster, really.[break][break]

Another yawn, and he would’ve eyed the nearest surroundings before starting up the stairs.[break][break]

...Guess we’ll check the dorms then the cafeteria, first.

...What an odd, odd little thing.[break][break]

Coming from that particular in question, the thought in itself may have been a bit ironic (and borderline insulting, depending on how sensitive you were), but it had still been a thought to roam the oddly matched head and mind of the scale-clad dragon. By no means had the little figure before it been an Unown, but as far as they were concerned, she was still equally an anomaly as he was. So, he stood there. He stared.[break][break]

And, after some more staring, he gently waved a number of claws towards the smaller, leafy Pokemon, its scales softly rustling clattering against one another.

Galar must’ve been an absolute wonder to live in.[break][break]

It’s what he figured, anyways. Between the very same, yet still beloved genetic anomaly of a creature by his side as they stood watch, as well as the round little beasts rolling about within the fields afar, the only image he truly had of Galar had been nothing short of obscure. He’d heard rumors and other talk about the type of things that occurred there, between the general wildlife one could find there, as well as the sort of occurrences that happened within the gyms. It was an odd thing for him to think about.[break][break]

Odd, but still intriguing, and he hoped he could visit one day.[break][break]

And, obviously enough, that day wouldn’t be that day. There were other, more pressing matters at hand, after all. While he, by no means, considered himself a good person with whom he was affiliated with, and the sort of thing he dabbled within, he still took time to help out, every so often.[break][break]

These odd, yet cute creatures get protected.[break]
He got paid, in exchange.[break][break]

The way he saw it, it was a win all around.

basic bio breakdown: he basically started off in a mafia-esque family that naturally led into a team rocket lifestyle. usual things between doing his rocket responsibilities in the afterhours of his normal job. badabing badaboom, he's living a double life. ez stuff. simple stuff.[break][break]

sometime into his mid twenties (after proposing to his fiancée at the time and getting engaged, that's an important detail) he got into a really bad accident that left him with amnesia. the event in question? basically a fast and furious scene gone wrong- but with motorcycles. needless to say, he was lucky to survive given the speed he was definitely travelling at, but not only did it take a while for him to recover, the memory loss is still something that's stuck with him over the years.[break][break]

as much as it broke her heart to, his fiancée ended up leaving him after about a year of the amnesia, finally getting at the end of her rope regarding when he'd actually remember- if at all. the overall reason for that could be chalked up to too many days of being able to explain multiple important occasions that they'd shared together over the past (most of which were basically all of the events they'd shared of falling in love, among other things), and while he'd always been a quick learner and adjuster even after the accident, that was time they wouldn't be able to get back. so, yeah. she leaves. he understands, but that doesn't mean he isn't heartbroken or distraught, anyways- especially given that she was his main anchor until departure, as well as the main source of hope he'd had regarding still having a moderately decent life with someone even if he didn't recover his memories.[break][break]

from then on, he would've started becoming more independent than he already was. business as usual, but with the implied hardships and emotional struggles that come with being an amnesiac. more or less still continues on with both facets of his jobs, with the only difference being his home. after a while, he'd been transferred to the hoenn rocket branch, and has basically lived in slateport city since then.
