All Abigail can do is watch as the scene unfolds. It felt surreal being this close to a legendary Pokémon. Let alone Kyogre out of all of them. The rain’s cold and seeps into her bones yet her face remains emotionless as ever. She stays stationed on the lapras. If things go south she has a Pokémon of her own to escape and hopefully make it out alive. [break][break]
Silence is better than roaring and causing a rampage, she supposed. She’s also blissfully unaware of Remiel’s talents. Maybe it’s a moment of weakness, or she simply wants the touch of another human being if it’s to be her last. [break][break]
But this time Abigail moves closer, a hand tugging on Remiel’s raincoat to hold onto him. [break][break]

Rain or shine, if Abigail set her mind to something then that’s what she was going to do. The weather wasn’t relevant to her. Except her fire types who have been begging to come out and let loose. Of course, it looks like someone else had the idea to train their Pokemon too. Her smile grows at the quirky bunch of Pokemon in this trainer’s possession. [break][break]

While EMBOAR is off helping the rangers (it’s good exercise for him) Abigail is left with this mysterious ranger. Clearly, he was seasoned at this job and no stranger to natural disasters, perfect for the line of work. Quietly, she analyzes him as she adjusts herself on the Pyroar’s back. She’ll have to give the darling a treat out of her bag later, if the trainer allows it of course. [break][break]
“I’ve never ridden on a Pyroar, no. But there’s a first time for everything isn’t there?”
Keeping close and secure, she adjusts her scarf as blasts of cold air repeatedly hit her face. Snow in Hoenn, huh? Hell must be freezing over and leaking into the mortal world. That’s the explanation she’ll stick with if asked. [break][break]

She adjusts the untangled red scarf around her neck. The arctic cold is starting to get to her a little bit. So it looks like this AURORUS will be her last capture for the day. Emboar ambushes the rare creature, while Abigail throws a pokeball, watching it roll back and forth. [break][break]

Everyone’s been fascinated with Paldean Pokemon lately. Though she never expected in a million years to be approached with a modeling gig with her Tatsugiri involved. However, now that she really thinks about it Abigail wonders if her Pokemon would be the star at all.[break][break]
She wrestles her long gold hair into a ponytail (easier to swim in), meanwhile her Tatsugiri slaps the wet pool tiles below, eager to get in the pool. Abigail smiles.[break][break]
“Go ahead.”[break][break]
Don’t have to tell him twice! Tatsugiri dives into the water and swims, rather impressive at doing laps for his small size.[break][break]
It’s a mock rehearsal. So she isn’t putting too much pressure on herself. For the meantime, though, she’s content in dipping her legs in the water and watching her Pokemon swim wildly around like an olympic swimmer.[break][break]

Rage is a never ending tale in her life. Since birth, in fact; Abigail has been the victim of anger, not her fault yet directed toward her all the same. From conception, to the brother who couldn't once stomach the sight of her face. All the memories blur together like a puddle of mud— dirty and without noticeable distinction. An unstructured mess. The question itself nearly pulls a sneer out from her neutral kept countenance.[break][break]
Instead, she looks down at her fingers which are red from the cold.[break][break]
“I don’t disagree. Kyogre has every right to rage. But I would think it’s been long enough. In the end he should be deep in the ocean, away from — all of us.”[break][break]

Luckily, Helena doesn’t have long to wait. Abigail guides her last client, a teen girl, back to the center of the salon to her mother who seemed more than satisfied, leaving a generous tip her way. She waves them off with a small smile. However on the next client, her demeanor changed— hand propped on her hip as she greets her next client. Abigail motions for her to come over.[break][break]
“Ah.. you’re Helena, yeah? Good, right on time. Come with me.”[break][break]
Walking forward they meet her designated corner of the salon. It’s already swept near spotless from her last style and cut. Even a first time customer could tell Abigail wasn’t your average run-of-the-mill stylist. She is respected and highly regarded. [break][break]
Once seated, she ties a smock around her front and begins accessing her hair. [break][break]
“No disrespect but you’re definitely due for a cut. Hoenn’s humidity loves wreaking havoc on people’s hair. I can recommend some hair products to help you aclammate.” She notes, measuring the length with her eyes, only occasionally using her hands.[break][break]
“Alright. How many inches are you looking to cut off? And do you want your hair straightened or styled specifically at all?”

Logically speaking, she has no reason to worry about it. Kyogre was leagues ahead of humans. In comparison to such raw power they hardly pose a threat against him. Still, Abigail was always more sympathetic toward Pokemon than people. For as long as she could recall she’s simply always been like that. Pokemon are loyal. They are without sin and live more freely than man.[break][break]
“I’m concerned about its rampaging.” She speaks as if choosing her words carefully. Her hand drifts into the ice cold sea, not minding how her fingertips numb at the touch. It was welcomed.[break][break]
“All that pent up anger stirring up this horrendous weather? It’s not healthy. Not for Pokemon or humans. You cannot live in rage forever or it's bound to consume you.”[break][break]

Flareon bares its fiery fangs at the Rocket Boss and his Luxray, unrelenting and ready to strike when told. Likewise, the feeling between trainer and Pokemon is mutual. Grunts surround every inch of them leaving no room for escape. Yet, Abigail doesn’t crack or even bend under the pressure. She is as calm and collected as either on the surface. [break][break]
“If you don’t see a way out then you make one.”[break][break]
With a snap of her fingers Flareon moves in front of Remiel Calcifet, stanced up, prepared for her next course of action that her trainer would command. The static in the air only fuels the fire on the furs of the Flareon, making them burn brighter.[break][break]
“Aim your thunderbolt at the prick and I'll have her strengthen it with a bit of fire. Don’t worry, she’ll get the timing right on the first try. We’re lucky enough and it hits em’ both.”[break][break]

Being on the edge of Lapras like this has her visualize a fine line of danger and safety. One wrong move and she’s lost to the lapping, dark ocean waves. Swallowed whole and gone, just like that. Not that she was ever an adrenaline junkie, far from it. [break][break]
Despite the raging wind causing a loud ruckus, Remiel’s voice finds its way to her. Abigail turns to get a good look at him, mirroring his smile with a mischievous grin of her own. “Nice try, prince charming. But I'm just fine over here. I’ll let you know if that changes, though.” [break][break]
Maybe it will, or maybe it won’t.[break][break]
Carefully holding onto the notches of Lapras she stares at the sky above, dark and gloomy- something deeply sinister brewing in the storm clouds.[break][break]

A story of justice, huh?[break][break]
Abigail isn’t one to really tell stories. Nor high tales already printed for the masses to read. Today however something compels her to spill the secrets long kept locked away in her heart. A darker chapter in her life, long before meeting her true father and half brother wolfgang volkov, who used to never give her the time of day.[break][break]
“Justice is a black and white topic.” She starts, gold eyes locked onto the legendary awaiting her tale. “It can be swift and quick, or cruel and ruthless. You can decide how this one ends, if you’d like. After all, I wouldn’t know what to call it myself.”[break][break]
Clearing her throat, she begins the story.[break][break]
“A young girl was born in the Castelia slums. A slum is where the ugliest parts of the city are hidden for the comfort of others. Here, a little girl wasn’t allowed outside or even in the sun, because her mother was envious of her beauty. So envious in fact, that she always kept this child’s hair cut short and ragged, like a boy's.”[break][break]
“The girl didn’t know what loneliness was at the time, but she always felt empty. But she had a friend. A Salandit who wandered into the house one day. The little girl kept this Pokemon a secret, because she knew her mother would get rid of it, or worse. Months went by, and the Pokemon and human became friends. They were inseparable. Even in her darkest days the Pokemon was a comfort to her. And then, the darkest day yet came.”[break][break]
“One day the mother brought a man home. He was miserable. Angry, too. And he took his anger out onto others. The little girl didn’t protect her mother, she felt nothing for her after all. To the girl, this was the justice she prayed for. But then when the little girl began to get hit, enough was enough. Again, justice came swift and unforgiving. Both mother and man were left pale and paralyzed, their lives snuffed out like a candle’s flame. Not even the little girl knew what happened that day. But, justice ensured that she would never be hurt by those two ever again.”[break][break]
After telling her story, Abigail leaves an offering of Oran and Pecha berries under the tree. An offering for Calyrex. “Did you think that was justice? Or, do you perhaps wonder what happened to the little girl and her pokemon? I like to think they’re still together.”[break][break]

Many people in the past have said that her pride could outrival a lioness Pyroar. The same goes for her intuition. The mission in general felt especially pointless. Like Remiel Calcifet said, many have failed where they are about to attempt. How would they be any different in quelling a beast that controls the ocean itself? It’s comparable to suicide. Fools play, but she was assigned the responsibility and it might just be worth seeing it through in the end.[break][break]
She stares at the offered hand, debating on whether or not to accept the help. Just being polite, she supposes. Alright then, she’ll play along.[break][break]
Accepting his hand she makes herself comfortable atop the Lapras’s bulky shell. A beautiful Pokemon almost hunted to extinction by human greed. Abigail gently pats the side of the Lapras, her fingetips grazing the freezing water as she sweetly smiles.[break][break]
“Thank you for the ride. I’ll be sure to repay you later.”[break][break]
