Looking so sure of himself, "Eh, what's there to know? I'm pretty sure it's like riding a-BUHIIIIIIKE!!" When the Dewgong jet off, Jarek almost slipped off if he didn't quickly grab onto the seal. That would've been embarrassing, and maybe ruin his chance to find more water Pokemon.

Taking a breath, he watched this girl actually managed to battle that Swanna. "Whoa." Yeah, this girl is a pro, using Pokemon that can reach wild ones from great heights. He just hopes not everyone on this region are that powerful. He already felt left out back home; failing the first exam months ago. All his friends long went on their journey.

He was much into thought, that he failed to notice the shell Pokemon floating in the waters.

The Pokeball warped away as Jarek hurried over to the waiting Dewgong. "Coming!" Quickly taking off his shoes and socks, he put them in his bag before hopping on the seal. "Uh, hey there...uh, buddy. You ready?"

"Pika!" And Volt hurried and leaped onto Jarek's back, ready to meet and catch some more Pokemon.

Well, looking around his surroundings, Jarek spotted a beautiful Swanna. Sadly, it was flying too high for his only flying Pokemon to reach. Even then, the bird will eat Pix alive. Then there's some...he doesn't know...Butterfree-wannabe? He already has the best butterfly Pokemon. Why would he need another and make Pix feel left out? It was his first catch, followed by his Pikachu.

"Let's go!"

Rubbing his neck, witnessing her Dewgong and Milotic, "Well, I don't have any Pokemon to carry me in the waters, so sure." Though he does feel a bit insignificant from her exotic Pokemon. It's like an MMO, where you see more experienced players showing off their fancy large armors and stuff.

Heading toward the water, he noticed a pink sloth slooooowly crawl out of the waves, as if its weight was too heavy for it to move itself. Yeah, it was a Slowpoke, and he...doesn't know if he should catch it...but it might come in handy. "Pix, get em! Use Sleep Powder!!"

"Freeeee~" Fluttering over the sloth, Pix spread a blanket of blue pollen over the Slowpoke.

"Slooooow...?" The pollen rained on it, as it blinked in confusion. "...poke?" It looked around, wondering what this was...and it was like nothing was happening to it.

But then it was like 'oh, it makes me sleep', and its eyes closed before it snoozed.

"...man, Slowpoke is right." and Tyson tossed a Pokeball at it.

Holy crud! Is that a...what's it called? A um...Chesnaught?! A wild Chesnaught?! Oh man, this is a rare opportunity! He's gotta get in on this, and---no wait, he sees its trainer; some girl in a bikini. False alarm. ~~And also, don't only water and flying types spawn here?~~. And there's some queen bee leading a pack of honeycomb bees flying by the beach. He's not much into them, especially when he has his awesome Butterfree: Pix Skye.

"Uh, heading over the next town, which I think is through the forest. I'm just stopping by, trying to catch a water Pokemon," he shrugged with a smirk, trying to sound like he doesn't care.

"Pika pi?" Volt spoke, pointing at the sky, where they sent that Cloyster...a water type that he should've caught.

"Hey, I'm just...trying to pick the best one pal, alright?" he pouted.

He didn't recall queen Beedrills being that big. Then again, he usually runs from them. Now she brought out another bug Pokemon. Was this lady a bug-type trainer? Well, when in Rome....whatever that is...

BON!!

And he popped a Pokeball open to release his Butterfree. "Frreeee~!" He just loved to flutter around in the air just to stretch his wings when he was let out of his Pokeball. "Free?" But startled when he saw a massive Beedrill.

"Well, I'm Jarek, and..." Did Volt fell off? Well, Jarek picked him up, "...and this is Volt Ray and Pix Skye."

"Pika/Freee!" they chirped, greeting them.

"Huh?" He was confused, for it should've been obvious that he handled the situation with his awesome Pokemon. "Uh, I'm fine...but..." Oh wait, she's the trainer of that giant Beedrill. "Uh, how and why is your Beedrill freaking huge?!" He did recall history lessons back at his Pokemon license tech that there used to be Pokemon that were big, but...he didn't listen to everything.

"Chuuuu?" As if he was already a small Pokemon. This giant Beedrill already made him feel smaller. Looking at it way high, Volt rose his head so far back, "CHA!" That he fell off his trainer's shoulder.

Oh man, seeing the waves crash into the shore, and people having fun in it...was so tempting. Then again, he never been to an actual beach and...ugh, that's even more reason to have fun on the beach! Fine, you win, beach! It's a good thing he packed in some swim trunks and-LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT BEEDRILL!!

Seriously, where did that come from?! Why and how is it so big?! How many push-ups did it do? How many sit-ups did it do? What kind of juice did it drank?! ~~We are not dealing with the average Beedrill anymore!~~ Jarek just had to get a closer look, as he hurried for it...

BLAM!!

And the sand exploded in his path, when a Cloyster emerged, glaring at him for whatever reason.

"H-Hey, what did I do to you?!" This was so random, that it might as well be an RPG game where the monsters appear out of nowhere and attack you for no reason. Whatever. He's got its number. "Volt Ray!" Slamming down a Pokeball, "Get em! Use Thunderbolt!!"

BON!!

"PIKA!!" And the mascot of all Pokemon popped out, happy to finally be out of his Pokeball. "CHUUUU!!" And Volt let a bolt fly out of his body, blasting the Cloyster with enough power to send it flying into the ocean.

Dusting his hands, "Well, now that was dealt with..." Aiming his Pokeball at his Pikachu, "Time to-"

"Pi!" And Volt zipped onto his arm, latching himself there, stubbornly.

"Aw c'mon, man," he groaned. It's hard to put Volt Ray back in his Pokeball, but he really didn't feel like arguing with him. Besides, if he's going to chill out on the beach, he might as well let out his Pokemon, too...except Pyre for obvious reasons. "Alright, just don't run off like last time."

"Pika!" he smiled.

Man, he didn't get the chance to catch more Pokemon on the next route past Oldale Town. Some annoying trainers wouldn't take no for an answer; made up some excuse that you have to battle once your eyes meet. Seriously, they come in eye contact with him on purpose, but alas, he couldn't turn down a challenge. Some people he knew back home will never live it down if they found out...and some of them can find out.

Well, he managed to treat them in Petalburg City, but the gym leader there was such a snob. He won't battle him unless he gets four badges. Like he's weak?! No way! Well, just he wait, for when he gets four badges, he's not going easy on him.

And Jarek headed out the city, walking by a rather nice beach. Boy, he doesn't have beaches back home...at least ones by the ocean and not some lake. As much as he likes to chill here, he just got to this region, and he can't linger. Besides, he doesn't have a surfboard of boogie board.

Still nothing in these woods? What, were these 'ghost woods', like a ghost town? If that's the case, then there should be ghost Pokemon here. Then again, it's not even nighttime. Ghost Pokemon can come out during the day too, right?

Walking beside her trainer, Pyre noticed something dropping off a tree. At first, she thought it was a fruit, which she hurried over to grab and eat it...

"BOU!!" But the fruit was alive as it bounced out of her claws, glaring at her.

"What the?!" Jarek noticed the sound and found his Pokemon with another. "The heck is that?" Checking it with his Pokedex...

"Bounsweet, the Fruit Pokémon. A Grass type. It's always emitting a delicious scent from its body. Lured by its scent, many flying Pokémon mistake it for a berry."

"Well Pyre's not a flying type...yet. Well, we're almost to the next town, girl, so let's catch this thing! Use Slash!"

"Cha!" she hissed, raising her little claws to attack the fruit.

"BOU!!" But it frantically waddled around, looking like it was in panic...but in reality, emitting some sort of wavelength...

"Chaaa!!" ...that was making Pyre dizzy and...

BAM!!

...hit a tree.

Well that raises some questions about that embarrassing moment. "What the?! What did that thing do to you?! Pyre, how many fingers I'm holding up?"

Pushing herself back up, she dazed for a moment but shook it off. "Cha!"

"...right, how am I supposed to know what you're saying? Well, use Dragon Breath!!"

"CHA!!" And she quickly spat a purple fireball that slammed onto the Bounsweet, knocking it off its feet.

"You're mine!" And Jarek tossed a Pokeball.

Well, that pretty much was a bust. Maybe Pyre shouldn't have started with a Flamethrower on that weird...fairy thing. Blew the sucker right into the sky. But hey, just shows how strong his trusted Pokemon is.

"Eh, don't kick yourself, Pyre. Just shows that you kick butt!"

"Cha!" The little Charmander beamed.

"Hm...maybe I'll run into a Starter Pokemon like a Bulbasaur, or those fire chickens I heard so much about!" he excitedly smiled...

...obviously walking past a starter Pokemon that was hitting a tree like it was playing with drums.

"Rgh!" Jarek tried walking over some hedges, but nearly tangled on them. He thought of going off the path and deep in the woods for some rare Pokemon. Going the path only got him a goat Pokemon, and it got away because of some annoying bug catcher scaring it off when he demanded Jarek a battle. Well, this time, he's thinking outside the box...or in this case, outside the path.

And lo and behold, he spotted a rare looking Pokemon. Though it's a weird looking one; not what he expected. He was kind of hoping for a Ralts. Heck, he settle for a Jigglypuff. "The heck is that?" he muttered to himself. He took out his Pokedex (pretty much a smart phone version) and scanned it.

"Aromatisse, the Fragrance Pokémon and the evolved form of Spritzee (Fairy type). Aromatisse can create many scents, some unpleasant enough to opponents to gain an advantage in battle."

"...uhhh, I dunno..." An evolved Pokemon, sure, but...not what he was going for. Maybe he'll go around and...

...no, he's gotta catch some Pokemon. Plus, he might be able to trade this thing. So let's go!

"You ready, Pyre, girl?" Grabbing a Pokeball from his belt, he tossed it toward the fairy, releasing his flame newt. "Then use Flamethrower!"

BON!!

The fire lizard popped out, "Chaaa!" happy to step into this new land full of new challenges. The perfect place to prove her warrior prowess. "CHA!" And she unleashed a large breath of fire at the fairy.
