Little did Guy know, his trip to the mall would serve him well, doubling as casing the joint. The department store was multi-tiered, with elevators, escalators, and stairwells located by fire escapes. If only that boy at the mall knew what kind of trouble he’d get up to there.

His tiny Fiat sat just outside the safari zone. The Rocket sleeper had awoken. His normally half-lidded eyes were wide open. Guy met his contact, rolling the window down slowly. Was this the guy? Out of his car came the most badly recorded, yet charming rock n roll imaginable.

He cleared his throat, having vaped for a good 10 minutes while he waited. “Are you… the person I’m supposed to be driving with today?” A bead of sweat rolled down his face. He couldn’t ask if he was in Rocket, on the offchance that he was a fed.

Guy rolled up the windows and opened the passenger door, indicating with a gesture for him to get in so they could plot the heist together. Guy’s white tracksuit sat on him like he was a coathanger, one size too large and barely holding up by its drawstrings.

“I have a way to smash the glass and grab everything, if you have a way to keep the guards off us until we can get in the car and get out.”

A week off from work. It'd been a while since he asked for it. Even longer since his request was answered. Having crossed his trip to the biggest mall in the country off the list, Guy immediately ran out of ideas. It then dawned on him, there's a mountain just off the coast of Lilycove to be scaled.

Having had a chance to change, Guy wore a bulky purple and black jersey, tucked into slim black sweatpants. While his team was insufficient to the task of surfing across the channel, he was able to charter a small boat for the task, whose hourly rate made him quickly land ashore.

Out of breath, he finally made it to the foothills of Mt Pyre. A place where trainers went to pay respects. He had no casualties thus far, but working at a butcher shop put it in him that he should at the very least go there to ask for forgiveness.

Needing to take his pokemon out for a walk, he called on Sandile. He noticed nearby that someone else had done the same.

"--What's good?" He said to the first person he saw, while in the corner of his eye the shadow of something from the tall grass grew. He had a toothy grin, and his half-lidded eyes seemed to light up when he got a chance to talk.

The mall was perfect. Pale lights overhead. A steady stream of people, but by no means was it filled to capacity. To top it all off, Guy managed to connect to the wifi signal overhead.

Was he being scanned? Assessed for something? His first instinct was to strike a pose, to make light of the whole thing. He hadn’t a clue what he’d done to merit this. The other man relented, but not before acknowledging his Hoothoot. Guy cast his eyes down at it, smiling. "You’re up awfully late, little man." He was met with an indignant chirping.

He nodded as he was told where to get coffee, and slowly trailed off after Mint. The first question could’ve had them both there all day. Where was he from. He opted for the short version.

His Hoothoot sat on one shoulder, watching Mint.

"I moved to Slateport for work, and stuck to the west coast ever since." He couldn’t admit it, but he liked the attention of those pale green eyes on him. Eyes that he’d never seen before. Perhaps he’d even welcome it if Mint were to jump him.

A week off from work. It'd been a while since he asked for it. Even longer since his request was answered. A city-boy at heart, Guy's first idea was to go to the city with the biggest theaters and malls.

His Noivern, faithfully, dropped him off in town at its edge. Guy stood there, in a white tracksuit, with red sneakers and red painted nails to match his earrings. He checked his phone, looking for the first wifi signal that didn't require a password. What an animal.

He started to walk, getting closer to the signal. It's... a mall? Guy stepped through the automatic doors, basking in the white light, the light like a dentist's office. He unzipped his collar, exposing his collarbone and neck. He'd almost be hot, were it not for his hair looking crunchy due to too much of his favorite 2 in 1 conditioner.

His Hoothoot sat on one shoulder, leaning in and trying to smell the food people walked out of the mall with.

"--Hey. I'm new in town, and I was hoping... you could show me where to get coffee." He said to the first person he saw, a blue haired youth who's slight of frame, with a gentle face. He caught himself looking into his eyes, and glanced away.




TL;DR: Guy needs to get out more!!! What a little nerd!!!

Guy was a former Youth Crew punk musician and school truant, but at the ripe old age of 18 his friends declared that "the scene has changed too much" and split up. Having to get a normal job, he settled on working a butcher shop at a grocery store. His assortment of pokemon are all adopted, none of which caught in the wild. His Croagunk in fact was abandoned at a park he grilled at on his weekend.
