When she finally hits the ground Lucas' experience bar dings as he levels up. In his chat log a message tells him that he earned [An Honorable Kill] achievement. He nods his geodude shaped head in agreement. [break][break]

That was the most honorable kill this game would ever know.

With a swing of the same fist he extended seconds ago he materializes a final volley of bonemerangs. Some are sent hurling towards the thread while others are sent hurling towards the ungrateful player.

"Yeah drop your items then we cool." Lucas waddled over to the edge just in case she did toss up a few items.[break][break]

"It's a PK zone why do you think I'm hanging around?" He shakes his geodude shaped body in disdain. "You die you revive. Now, items please!" He extends one of his rock encrusted fists and opens it wide to catch Mai's items.

Lucas launches a volley of bonemerangs shaped like tiny geodudes at the thread tying the two together. There was more in his geodude themed arsenal where they came from.

Lucas Lane, dressed as a geodude, rushes out of a nearby bush at supersonic speeds. He releases a barrage of skill linked double hits against the woman's legs. It would have been her back to help send her falling but alas, he was on the shortest height setting and couldn't hit any higher.

As more pokemon begin to come out of the woodworks he releases kabutops to help deal with them. An ancient power heaves rocks out of the ground and sends them hurtling towards a Centiskorch. When it it attempts to shake off the rubble another pulse of ancient power unearths the very ground beneath its countless feet. Centiskorch finds itself nearly buried alive.[break][break]

Lucas tosses a pokeball.[break][break]

"Good to meet you Ken." He extends a hand towards the gym leader. "So you the ranger stationed around here?"

"Nah it'll be fine." Lucas raises his coffee and takes another drink. "Ice types are a pretty resilient bunch. Some have been known to live in areas like Alola even."[break][break]

When Yanci bends down to pet amaura it begins to swing its head. Each time its head swung back around its eyes met with Yanci's. "You could say they're pretty cool despite the weather." A grin pulls at the edges of his mouth after the terrible grin. He made a mental note to tell it to priam conrad when they next met.

"What? Who told you that?" Lucas was easily forgot about what Cadis had said only moments prior. "I actually got hit after looking both ways. The person just came speeding out of no where. It was hardly my fault."

"Really? I thought it'd have been more popular. Writing out pokemon moves is such a chore." Lucas comments as he awaits the battle confirmation. "Silph? Well that's a challenge." He doesn't say much more to the attendant save for a few words of thanks before making his way down the hall.[break][break]

When Lucas enters the battle arena he does so with brimming with confidence. He had to have a winning mindset if he hoped to best the councilman. "Fernando, long time no see." Lucas waves as he talks.

Lucas was laying down flowers on Victini's grave when the voice rang out. Though the voice was much deeper it was reminiscent of the times Victini had spoken in his head. Vainly he attempts to talk back, just like he'd done with the victory pokemon countless times before. All that greeted him was the silence of the surrounding graves.[break][break]

On his knees Lucas prays one last time for Victini before going in search for the voice. He holds the pokeballs of his aerodactyl and glalie tightly. Though Victini's energy had long left the pair he still brought them every time he visited the grave. A small part of the scientist hoped that through some occult way it would return the pokemon to life.[break][break]

Though he spots Laurence Anderson and Thomas Benoit Lucas gives them little more than a glance. Farther away from the pair he finds the black cocoon oozing maleficent energy. "Who are you?" He asks, a mere five feet away from the cocoon. Lucas had no doubt it was a deity akin to the likes of Victini.
