as he looks back, he catches sight of samuel's battered manectric. "heal pulse," he orders, motioning to the pokemon.

marcel carries a weighted silence as they approach the power plant, gaze caught on the wire titan that's emerged. it's after some thought that he gives his command to the clefable floating beside them. "flamethrower, aim for the leg." the fairy-type takes in a deep breath before it begins to spit flame.

by this time, marcel had already given the next order. the scattered fragments around them glow with a PSYCHIC energy, before his golduck hurls them at the same spot on the beast's leg.

gavin's shot is lost to echoing violence. marcel recoils—while some part of him leans in to the sound. it's not until the questions come that he finally turns and recognises his company, real or otherwise. marcel is silent; as his gaze drops, his heart can't help but bleed. he steps back from the body, into rocks unstirring, and finds himself murmuring some false truth:

as he feels the weight of his pokemon lighten with LEVITATE, marcel lets go to allow his sylveon to float beside him. the fairy-type is surprisingly agile in the air, dodging whatever stray attacks come up its way as league forces make their way towards the trapped trainers. a few moments pass, and he can't get away with doing nothing for much longer.

unfazed, the toxtricity lifts a hand glowing purple before hitting the dummy with a POISON JAB. the noise turns some people's heads, but most carry on their way regardless.

[attr="class","ePostMain"]his company comes suddenly—or perhaps, it is simply the realisation. the sight of dominic sinclair and @samuel inspire something close to relief, underneath all the dread, though there's little time to dwell on it once the pokeball at his belt begins to rattle: like old bones, ominous.

marcel falters at the start of a question, unmoving as the silvally treads the splinters of its old prison. he finally staggers back as dominic's luxray moves to guard him. a sphere of light begins to form at the hands of his gardevoir before it—out of habit, curiosity, but never concern—fires the MOONBLAST at the beast's face.

his golduck hurls a wave of MUD BOMBS in answer to the lasers, hoping to at least hinder the stakata, if it could not take them down entirely. his clefable joins in with a rallying cry, oddly close to gleeful, throwing its own bombs with COPYCAT. the effects of MAGNET RISE still linger in the fairy-type; it moves to dodge any lasers that may come their way with its playful air acrobatics.
