In a way diving out the window with his Swanna was a very good thing, if Blaine hadn't stormed up the stairs and heard the noise the Zorua made when it ran into the door he probably would of came back and checked on it. [break][break]

On the bright side Blaine wasn't actually waiting outside for too long, as soon as he saw someone step out of his building the detective yelled out at quick "Hey!" Just trying to get their attention to see if the surprise of him being out there would catch them off guard. Who exactly he was dealing with was still a mystery though it could be some random inexperienced person who was just looking for money. Or it could of been someone extremely experienced in this kind of work, in the case of the later a random shout probably wouldn't do much.[break][break]

Although soon the matter of whether or not he got the thief's attention became pretty irrelevant as his own attention was stolen away from the person that exited his office. A large shadow appearing over the dimly lit street caused Blaine to immediately look up, confused at just what was up there. After a few moments of staring the shadow shot down through the sky, eventually Blaine was able to get a good look at what it was, a Noivern.[break][break]

The get away pokemon pretty much solidified his theory that this wasn't just some run of the mill thief down on their luck. He was so distracted by the appearance of the pokemon that he didn't even realize it was just going to pick the criminal up until it already began to fly off with her.[break][break]

Swearing under his breath Blaine jumped on his Swana yet again as the bird pokemon took off to continue the chase in the air. Though the other person had a good head start now.

While it usually would of taken Blaine's eyes a bit to adjust to the darkness of his office but it seemed that whoever was in his office had his laptop open, the bit of light coming from the screen catching their face for a moment. While he couldn't make out any exact details that could possibly help identify them later from this distance he was able to at least see that it was a woman. In all honesty he wasn't surprised that his random shout pretending to be police didn't scare off the person in the office immediately, it was very obviously bullshit. [break][break]

Plus an actual cop would probably hold up a badge and not a random pokeball in their hand.[break][break]

If the situation wasn't confusing enough and disorienting already things got even worse as Blaine suddenly caught a glimpse of a second identical woman rushing at him, and the one by the computer sneak off the other way. Thinking as quickly as he could Blaine slammed the door shut again, twisting the lock and separating him and his apartment from the office again. He wasn't gonna let them get away that easily though.[break][break]

Running back up to his room in the apartment Blaine quickly snatched up his keys and shoved them into his pockets along with a few extra pokeballs. Taking a moment to look at the one he grabbed earlier the detective was actually kind of relieved, while it might not of been super useful back then it sure would help now. [break][break]

Throwing open the widow in his room Blaine clicked the button on the ball, releasing his Swanna outside in a flash of white light. "Cmere Lady." He muttered out to get the large swan to move a bit closer to the window. Hopping onto its back the man flew down to the ground on the bird, returning the pokemon and landing on the sidewalk. For now he just stood on the sidewalk next to his building, waiting for the intruder to actually come outside before he gave chase.

The more of the area they were in that Blaine could see the more he was getting creeped out by all of this, now that he could actually see the tentacle floor everyone was standing on his mind immediately began racing trying to grasp some kind of reason for the weird location they were all in. No real logical explanations popped into his head he was genuinely confused. The woman he spoke to replying did snap him out of his thoughts. It wasn't time to just stand around and try to guess what was going on, it was time to do something. [break][break]

"Yeah, I'm alright." He managed to blurt out in response to the woman returning his question. It wasn't but a few moments after he responded that tentacles reached up and started dragging people into the ground, a few people just simply held in the tentacles for now. Luckily enough Blaine and the woman with him didn't get grabbed. While they were at least safe for the moment things had just taken a turn from weird and creepy to deadly serious.[break][break]

Slipping a hand down Blaine tapped on one of the pokeballs on his belt, releasing his Slowking as he actually got a glimpse of the weird cyclopes creature blocking everyone's path. Muttering a quick swear under his breath Blaine glanced around at the entrapped people, instructing his Slowking to help some people out with Psychic. The pokemon obliged, using its Psychic attack in an attempt to free a dark haired man and hopefully someone else near the guy.[break][break]

Glancing over at the woman with him as she spoke again Blaine gave her a quick shake of his head, "No I don't think we can sneak by that thing. Im gonna try to get some people out or at least get rid of..whatever that thing is. Stick by me and it'll be alright." While he wasn't sure if he'd actually be able to do anything here he didn't wanna cause even more panic. [break][break]

"Joule, shoot that Electro ball at the big eye thing then make another so we have light still. Strider, hit that thing with Air slash too." The detective quickly blurted out, causing the two pokemon with him to send their attacks forward at the strange creature. Raichu launching the fast moving ball of electricity and the Noctowl sending blades of wind through the air. As his pokemon attacked Blaine looked back at the woman again, "My names Blaine by the way." If they were gonna stick together it would probably be good to know each others names in case they got separated.[break][break]

Most of his nights Blaine spent either hunched over in front of his laptop browsing the web or working on a case, the only other real alternative use of his nights was hanging out at a local bar in Rustboro city. So a night like this where the Detective was actually in his own bed at a reasonable time was a rarity. He had a recent breakthrough in one of the cases he had been working on and decided to celebrate with a good nights sleep, the first of hopefully many.[break][break]

Unfortunately if he wanted to make any kind of streak for getting a good amount of sleep that would have to start tomorrow. Blaine had only been asleep for a few hours before a loud crash from downstairs jolted him awake in bed.[break][break]

For a few moments he simply laid there groggily, wondering what the hell had happened before dragging himself out of bed and snatching up one of the pokeballs on his night stand. [break][break]

Due to how tired he was from the sudden wake up call who knows what pokemon was in the random ball he snatched up, it very well could even be an empty ball he forgot to put away. The stairs leading down from his apartment to the office made a few creaks and groans as he descended them, separating the apartment from the office was a locked door so the time it took the groggy man to unlock it gave the intruder a bit more time before he actually shown up. [break][break]

Unsure what was actually going on once the door was unlocked Blaine simply peeked his head out a tiny bit to try to see what was going on. Thrusting out the pokeball in his hand the detective shouted out "Rustboro Police, nobody move!" Of course he wasn't police it just seemed like something that might work.

One moment Blaine was relaxing in his nice comfortable chair in his office sipping on some whisky, and the next moment the detective groggily awoke on the ground. Just how drunk did he end up getting last night? Grumbling to himself the man would roll over to try to get some more sleep, only to feel the weird ground underneath him move. At the super weird sensation Blaine jumped up to his feet, and stumbled back a little bit, doing his best to remain calm and try to figure out what was going on. [break][break]

Closing his eyes Blaine took a deep breath as well as a step backwards, not wanting to get too far from where he had woken up just yet. With his eyes open there wasn't even much of a difference in what he could see, it was almost pitch black out here. While he couldn't tell exactly where he was just yet he could at least make out that he was outside somewhere, and he didn't seem to be the only one here so far. [break][break]

Reaching down to his belt a brief sense of relief washed over him for a moment, all of his pokeballs were right where they should be. At least he wasn't out here completely defenseless. Sliding a hand across the pokeballs he gently tapped the button on the first and third ball, releasing his Raichu and Noctowl out of their balls. Raichu might be able to make a bit of light for him to see, and Noctowl had special eyes it might be able to make something else out that he couldn't. [break][break]

"This might sound kinda weird Joule but use an Electro Ball attack, but don't let it go just kind of hold it on the end of your tail." With a slight tilt of her head that the detective could barely make out the Raichu followed through with the order and conjured up a basketball sized ball of electricity on the tip of its tail and held the light in place. "Thanks, Strider just try to keep an eye out." He added with a slight glance over to his Noctowl now that he could see the owl. [break][break]

Taking a moment to adjust to the bit of light he now had to work with Blaine was eventually able to make out some faint blue lights floating around in the air. At first he approached a bit cautiously until he was close enough to make out what seemed like the shape of a person standing next to the flames, his mind immediately jumping from it being some kind of threat to just being a trainer and their pokemon. [break][break]

Not wanting to scare the person due to coming up behind them in this creepy environment Blaine muttered out a simple "Excuse me." Before getting too close to what he could now make out was a woman and her ninetails. "Are you alright?" He was sure that waking up in a weird spooky place would be a strange experience for anyone and wanted to make sure the person was okay before trying to ask them anymore questions. As he said that the light carrying Raichu slid up next to her trainer, a corn cob pipe held in her mouth. The Noctowl just kinda hung back for now looking around in the darkness. [break][break]

[tl;dr: Woke up super confused and creeped out over the moving ground, sent out Raichu to hold an electro ball on its tail as a light source, noctowl to see if it could see anything through the dark, and approached illeana reyes and asked if she was alright]

Hearing the girl laugh at his little dumb joke brought a small smile to Blaine's face, he was actually pretty glad that he was able to make her laugh while talking about a serious subject. Once she got into the details about the case he worried about the toll something like that would take and while it certainly did if she was hiring a detective. She could at least laugh still and that was something. [break][break]

A few moments after Blaine had pocketed his notebook the book was pulled right back out again, this time however by his pikachu. Although the detective didn't seem to notice this at all. The little electric rat would end up flipping to the page he had recently wrote in before getting a little tiny bit of mud on her paw and stamping her paw onto the page. Doing her best to take notes on what was going on too.[break][break]

As the notebook was slipped back into his pocket Blaine finally felt the movement and glanced back only to see the notebook already back in place and pikachu staring off into space. Raising an eyebrow for a moment he turned back to the woman. "It does sound kind of dangerous, don't worry I'll try not to get directly involved then. Once i find him I could probably just do some surveillance from afar, or something like that. I have some pokemon that help with stuff like that already so its not too much of a big deal."[break][break]

Taking a brief moment to himself Blaine reached up and scratched at the back of his neck, having already come to a decision about something that crossed his mind once he saw just how paranoid the girl was. This was something serious and dangerous that was going on, so there was no way he could try to charge her for his services. [break][break]

"Before we wrap this meeting up I did wanna mention payment real quick, basically uhh just don't worry about it alright?"
