Lance’s words bring her comfort, or perhaps it’s simply his presence that puts her at ease, almost as if promising that she has nothing to worry about. Whether if such a promise is something she can put faith in— that’s a whole other subject that her mind refuses to acknowledge here, now. “No pressure though, alright?” In other words, she doesn’t want him to think that she’s clingy. I think I will.” It’s a lot easier to handle her own feelings if she tells herself that it’s Lance who cares for her more than she cares for him. Katherine wants to— no, she needs to believe that she isn’t compromising her job. “Oh. Let’s go then,” She leaves a couple of bills on the table to pay for their meal, and then turns towards the exit, waiting for Lance to join her. “It’s not as bad as my old place, you know. Some of my ghosts prefer the gym, so it’s less messy in the house now.” It’s said almost as if she’s proud of that fact. A cab eventually stops nearby to take them to Kat’s new home, a relatively short drive from the pizza restaurant and her gym. She had been so used to apartments in tall buildings that living in an actual house felt foreign, but still, it’s easy to tell that this is her place. The television is permanently stuck with a white, static screen that indicates where her Rotom stays, and a couple more ghost-types happened to float by - both in and out of her house. They weren't confined by these walls. “Here it is. It’s just the living room, my room— oh, and there’s a second room I’ve been using as a closet, I guess.
