MULTIPLE POKEMON JOIN IN FROM ALL SIDES. Balder and Kazimir are not alone in their thinking. Fighting Pokemon fill up the empty dojo as they scramble to get a piece of the Dojo Master. However, even against these overwhelming numbers, he shows no hesistance.

“HWWOOoo!”

An ARM THRUST to the chest sends Valerio skidding backwards. Iris too is thrown like a ragdoll when the Dojo Master SNATCHES her by the ankle. One by one, they are repelled as the martial artist starts to create space between him and the approaching hordes.

Kazimir’s Grapploct manages to wrap its tentacles around his chest and legs with OCTOLOCK but can’t bind his arms in time. The two tussle for a moment before the Dojo Master’s fingers embed themselves into the octopus’ flesh in a claw-like VICEGRIP. To everyone’s surprise, the Dojo Master rips the Pokemon right off him, still holding onto the Pokemon its suckers are peeled off his skin.

What makes this feat so astounding is that Grapploct are known for their anatomy. Their entire body consists of muscles, granting them superior gripping strength. This genetic advantage allows them to master the binding move OCTOLOCK to the extent that the scientific community dubs them the ‘jijutsu Pokemon’. To see that all undone highlights the unnatural scope of their opponent’s raw strength.

With the Grapploct still in hand, the Dojo Master readjust his grip around the end of one of its tentacles. He snaps it like a whip, using the Pokemon as a set of nun chucks to repel Balder’s Pokemon.

Infernapes MACH PUNCH lands but gets a punishing thwack to the head with a flick of his wrist. The BRICK BREAK comes from another angle and the Dojo Master has to pivot on his heel, blocking it with the Grapploct, unhanding it as the attack breaks his hold on the Pokemon.

“Ho, ho? Good.”

It is the BEAT UP that halts the Dojo Master from doing anything else. The impact of the attack holds him in place, even pushing him back, as he tries to block the brunt of the force with his forearms. It holds him at a standstill, leaving his skin orange under the pressure, holding him in place for their combined AURA SPHERE.

The culmination of their efforts does not go unrewarded. When the attack lands the raw energy implodes, blinding them from the results. Smoke rises, intense heat emanating from the attack’s combustion. What they see is the Dojo Master still standing, small cuts against his forehead and arms as blood trickles from his wounds.

All that for drops of blood.

“Impressive! Together you are powerful.”

The way he smiles undercuts the menacing aura radiating from his body. He can’t help but chuckle gleefully, invigorated by the escalating battle.

“But there can only be one. Ha, ha, ha. Let’s see what happens when I take you on…”

Kazimir’s Urshifu will recognize the stance despite being unable to mimic it. Seeing the Dojo Master twist his fingers in a specific way reminds it of a memory it had as a Kubfu. It knows something is coming, able to see the light blue aura radiating from his fist.

“Water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my students.”

That line of enlightenment strikes a chord. Somewhere deep inside, the Urshifu will feels its heart quicken. It means nothing to it now but that advice is enough for the Pokemon to parry the incoming attack.

In a flash, the Dojo Master runs past each combatant, accurately lashing out with a PALM STRIKE to their pressure points. No matter how they move or how they defend, none can evade the SURGING STRIKES. Each one flows like water, eroding at their defenses, weaving through their movements like liquid conforming to the shape of a container.

Pokemon that roll under 50 immediately faint.
Everyone else takes damage on a scale of 51-100 where 51 is almost fainted and 100 is minimal.

At the end of his combo, the Dojo Master stands at the other end of the room. He turns around to see who is still standing, surprised as only Kazimir, Balder, and Bailey are left still standing. Some of their Pokemon are on the floor, out cold, while others try to maintain their stances despite their injuries.

“Good. Good. Some of you show real promise.”

A BRIEF TAUNT DISTRACTS the Dojo Master long enough for everyone to get into position. As the Pokemon scramble in order to follow out their commands, a wry smirk flashes across his features.

“Ho, ho, ho.”

The transformation of the Urshifu is the next diversion. Watching it Mega Evolve leaves him impressed, having never seen such a phenomenon, to the point that he drops his guard.

“What do we have here?”

But when the Mega Urshifu starts to channel its energy into its fist, the Dojo Master prepares himself accordingly. Both of his feet dig into the ground, breaking the wood into splinters as his heels burn into the ground with his pivot. Kazimir’s inclusion means little as both his arms are brought up to protect his face and chest.

Balder’s Sawk and Scrafty take advantage of this by delivering BRICK BREAKING strikes to his sides. He heaves, expelling air as his ribs stand sturdy against the attack. The way his torso inflates when he inhales seems to rebuff his defenses as his muscles curve against the definition of his ribs.

The ONE BLOW comes down and it comes down hard. No matter how much weight the Dojo Master puts into his legs the sheer force of the blow is able to shatter his guard. His arms peels away from in front of him, forced aside, but able to withstand the attack. However, this opening leave Kazimir the perfect opportunity to land his drop kick, forcing the Master to stumble backwards and against the dojo wall.

Pinned, with no where else to evade, he withstands the FORCE PALM and WOOD HAMMER like tackle from Balder. Sweat and blood drip from his forehead and nose but he remains jubilant. Purple welts, vicious bruise against his sun weathered skin, nip across every injuries he’s sustained.

But he does not falter.

“Alolan-style—”

As Balder prepares his follow up attack the Dojo Master mimics his move from earlier. The same one he had used to intercept Kazimir.

“Ransei-school—”

The FOCUS PUNCH lands. But what Balder feels is not the soft flesh of his stomach. No, it is the steel hard strength of his abs. There is no avatar power that bestows such density—decades of intense training have made these muscles stronger than bone. Pain passes through this passive shield and it triggers the Dojo Master’s final blow.

“COUNTER!”

Every strike they’ve connected. All the injuries he’s sustained. The culmination of their damage is pooled into energy as the Dojo Master brings his fist forward with the same ferocity of Urshifu’s ONE BLOW.

The attack is straight-forward and not aimed at anyone. He won’t hit anyone with his fist. But that’s not what matters. The energy shockwave that ripples from his fist creates a VACUUM WAVE that launches everyone back. The Pokemon near him, those that landed melee attacks just moments ago, will FAINT. The exception are who have already MEGA EVOLVED, which will be forced out of their transformation early.

The FOCUS BLAST of his punch continues onward. Anyone in its path will face the power of his ultimate technique. Unfortunately, that just so happens to be everyone who's still conscious. Bailey Cooper, who has simply observed, befuddled by the Dojo Master's display and wisely keeping out of their spar, is ultimately at the end of the line.

THE BODIES OF THEIR POKEMON become raindrops against the dojo walls. A shower of the defeated leave only a few hung out to dry. As Kazimir’s Urshifu DETECTS imminent danger, they must assess the reality of their situation; saving Bailey Cooper puts them directly in the line of fire.

Not that they have much of a choice. While the Champion has taken a backseat throughout their scuffle, she knows all too well that an attack of that magnitude will endanger her as well. A wall of raised earth cuts the Urshifu off from making contact, an innate defense for what’s to come.

Several more pop up—a layered defense thrown in haste—as Bailey throws herself off to the side in a roll. No matter what she brings up they all crumble like sand. The Dojo Master’s FINAL RESORT penetrates all.

Balder’s acute sense of self preservation comes true. Death threatens Groudon’s avatar as the remaining shockwaves rattle the foundations of the dojo. The reason neither Balder or Kazimir take much damage is because the attack was never aimed at them. It homes in on the Champion with hidden intent.

There is no escape.

And when the kinetic force makes contact with Bailey it blasts her with the culmination of every attack performed within the Dojo. An explosion rocks her off her feat as the room goes up in smoke and dust. Splintered wood chips serve as shrapnel, the floors coming apart as the building splits in two.

“Oh ho ho. I guess I over did it,” comes the humbled voice of the Dojo Master. It’s clear he recognizes just how drastic his actions have been, unfamiliar with the extent of his own power.

When the smoke clears the Champion’s situation becomes clear. They are not alone. Neither Balder or Kazimir will believe their eyes. It’s just not possible, right?

“Shi, shi, shi. I was wondering when you’d come.”

Whoever it is, the Dojo Master seems to know them well.

WITHOUT A DOUBT, it is the Pokkenger. The facts may point otherwise but Kazimir will recognize the posture, the pose, even the most subtle mannerisms from the person behind the mask—they are his own. Every movement oozes Pokkenger. The flourish with the way the Pokkenger juts a thumb’s up at the pair only further confuses him.

“Hey, you bozo!” Bailey grumbles before freeing herself with a good kick. “Shove off! I had that just fine.”

“Ho, ho, ho. You think you can take the original KING OF FIGHTERS?”

Attention turns back to the Dojo Master as he approaches. He graces the Pokkenger with a slight bow before joining the group in a full circle. He sets his eyes on Balder Schwartz first and then to Kazimir Wynter.

“The fact that he’s returned means he recognizes the next to hold the title.”

The Pokkenger nods before making a dynamic pose.
