incidents with vicious pokemon influenced perhaps by toxins had become commonplace throughout the region the past few days; people who are paid to do this hypothesise dozens of theories as to what sparked all this, but dominic doesn't delve into it too deeply. as he hurtles from one place to another atop his garchomp, gas mask affixed to his face, his only interest is in suppressing the outbreaks before anything even suggests at rocket involvement.

he finds a moment of respite atop a small outcropping of rock outside dewford, taking the chance to smoke a cigarette and scroll through the notifications on his phone. dominic pretends to not notice the displeasure of his gengar at the smoke that billows from his parted lips.

dominic looks at a wild bibarel blandly as the pokemon paddles across the water to its den - probably hidden somewhere along the shallows. his gengar follows his gaze and begins quickly weaving its hands together until he was ready to lob a sphere of dripping purple sludge at the wild pokemon. dominic didn't object to the gengar using TOXIC at the bibarel for absolutely no reason, but he did arch a quizzical eyebrow at him. the gengar simply smiled.
