despite both being canids, their relationship is more akin to that of a cat and a dog. vulpix and electrike refuse to get along, and it worries their owners beyond measure. their last disagreement had ended in many important work-related papers being lost to the wind as ashes. desperate times call for desperate measures.

syrup hates the idea of being left at the daycare. it fills him with shame. and it's all the vulpix's fault, and he wants to make sure she's fully aware of his state of annoyance.

Was it truly her fault this happened? The nerve of the electrike assuming such a thing! As soon as Alric gave her to the care of the daycare employee, she saw how the cursed mutt was here too. While she does not mind the company of the mutt's owner, she loathes the presence of him. She could taste the static given off from his cursed fur. If only she could trade places with the talkative corvus, she could be sleeping on either Alric's or Vera's lap (she prefers Vera's lap since she often smells like baked goods).[break][break]

does he expect her to back off from a fight? the nerve of this mutt. azalea stood her ground as she does her best to size herself up. calix taught her one too many moves to protect herself, and one is to stand proud and look at your opponents eyes with determination. syrup's expression softens despite azalea's own volatile mood. he's still offended, and still angry, and still blames her for the accident — but his words don't have that same bite from before. "well, have i ever hurt you?" he almost asks her why she feels the need to protect herself, but stops short. that would make it look as if he doesn't outright hate her (which might be only a little bit true but mostly not).

the electrike notices the ice-type's approach only because of the chill that runs through him, following it. he wasn't lying when he said her presence was too cold. "why would i even want to be pretty like you anyways?" he rolls his eyes, not realizing the indirect compliment he's offering.

once it starts it doesn't stop, if only she could properly read the mood. taken aback from the tone in his voice, the vulpix didn't need to think long. "no, but, it's a reflex." a small protest, however she knew better. why did she have to hold animosity towards him? if only she knew better, then maybe she would be able to get along with syrup.[break][break]

"it's not my fault i'm an ice type! i always thought calix's fur looked better than mine." oh she so wistfully wished to be a fire type. the cold is harsh, and on many snowy days there is no sun whatsoever. the alolan vulpix has a small scowl on her features, she's envious of those who can easily bask in the sun.[break][break]
"plus! why are you always mean to me?!"
