Another day, another mission. Sanvi worked separately from the league, for the most part, but their intel seemed to be correct often enough that occasionally doing things like this was okay. Today, she’d come dressed in much more practical clothes than usual, with an added mask to ensure she didn’t inhale the toxic gases she was told would be permeating the air of the abandoned area. Her hair remained up in its usual twist, and the mask in her hand until she actually had to enter the warehouse, but beside her stood her two best protectors, Darling and Kin both being affected very little or not at all by toxins.

But, they had to wait- it wasn’t time to enter the building quite yet. First, they had to scope out the whole area, which was started with a simple order from Sanvi, Darling the Froslass moving into the gloom that had surrounded this place to get an idea for where the entrances and exits were. Sanvi herself waited quietly, one hand on her holstered pistols, and the other itching to pull out the knife strapped to her arm. No... it wasn’t time yet. Once inside the abandoned area, though, she’d likely need to be holding at least one of her weapons.

Ethel walked to the area that had been indicated by the League officials. She wore clothing that covered her whole body, as was appropriate for the job she was out to do, and held a gas mask in her hand. The Weezing, she had been told, were all over the place, and extremely trigger-happy. The warehouse wasn't being used at the time, but it was still a danger to a public to have a place that was open being so contaminated with toxic fumes.

Ethel was followed by her Magnezone and her Avalugg, who would hopefully be well-suited to the job in question. Rodent floated around silently with a Magnet Rise, but Titan drew more attention, not due to sound but from his sheer size. The massive ice-type wasn't immune to poison, but he was extremely hardy, and he knew Icy Wind to blow away any poison gas just in case.

It seemed that another person had gotten the League's memo, Ethel observed as she spotted someone else waiting nearby. As she got closer, Ethel noted that this stranger was... extremely attractive.

She shut down the thought the instant it surfaced. She had a job to be doing, damn it. She could flirt later. Or not. She could leave and forget about this immediately. She didn't have time for---

"Hello," Ethel said, and her voice was higher than she would've liked. She cleared her throat. "Are you here for the Weezing?"

Darling was just returning from her scouting when another woman showed up, prompting Sanvi to take a good long look at the other person who’d seemingly taken this job on as well. At 5’11” she was well used to looking down at people, but was pleasantly surprised to see it was another beautiful woman. Lips curling into an almost-smirk, the woman took a minute to pull on her gloves. Couldn’t forget gloves- who knew what she’d be touching in the warehouse. Taking her time, she only deigned to respond after meticulously checking that everything was in place, first. “Oh? And what’s it to you, beautiful? Are you here for the weezing too?”

Silence. For a few seconds there was only silence. If Froslass or Corviknight could facepalm, they would, both Darling and Kin instantly annoyed at their trainer. Just to get her moving, Kin let out a loud noise that was a cross between a squawk and a caw, insistently (and gently) pecking at Sanvi‘S hand to get her attention. They’d be here all day if the Pokémon didn’t nudge her along a little, and they had a job to do.

Beautiful? Oh, Arceus help her. This was not going to be easy. She felt her face heating up and cursed her fair complexion.

Ethel cleared her throat. Again. "Yes, uh, the Weezing. Are you---" Oh, wait, she'd already asked that. "Yeah, we can't have that, right? So, if you're ready, we could..."

It seemed Sanvi's Pokemon were eager to get started, so Ethel hurriedly donned her gas mask. Maybe it would help hide her face. Because, well, that would be helpful about now.

"I'm Ethel, by the way," she said, trying to shake off her flustered state. "If you're ready, we can go ahead and head inside."

“Ethel? My name is Sanvi. A pleasure to meet a lovely woman such as yourself.” The brunette would reply, delighting in the blush she saw on that pale face before the mask was affixed to it. Pulling on her own mask, she looked to her two Pokémon for confirmation before nodding. “I suppose we ought to, these weezing won’t be seeing themselves out.”

With that, she’d take a few steps towards the entrance, heels of her boots click-clacking on the pavement. She’d pause momentarily, looking to make sure Ethel was following, before moving the rest of the way forwards and into the entrance of the building. The first thing she’d see as she entered was a heavy fog, the murky stuff masking many of the bigger details of the room. Beside her, Darling the Froslass vigilantly scanned the room, on constant a alert for movement.

Wow... Sanvi was really not letting up. But thankfully, there was the distraction provided by the task at hand to take her mind off of the... well, the extreme forwardness of her mission partner. She couldn't say she wasn't flattered by the attention, though. Ethel felt like it had been so long since someone had so bluntly complimented her, and even if she was happy with her own appearance, it was nice to hear it from other people.

Anyways. "Yes, the Weezing. Titan here can use Icy Wind to clear the area of any toxic gases," she said, indicating the huge Avalugg that marched behind her. Ethel hoped that Sanvi wasn't intimidated by his hulking size, but she hadn't seemed to pass any comment yet, and the Corviknight accompanying her was plenty large itself. "And I think our Steel-types will be good for chasing the Weezing away, since they'll likely be immune to their attacks."

As they entered the room, Ethel found that as she had expected, the room was blanketed with a thick fog. At her signal, Titan rumbled, his huge bulk not fitting through the door, but he generated a chilly breeze, that soon grew into a gusting gale, hoping to clear away the fog.

Sanvi didn’t speak in response to Ethel’s questions, instead nodding as she returned Kin to her ball. The giant bird couldn’t fit through the door, and so she had to put her into her ball for the time being, until there was more room. The Icy Wind generated by Ethel’s Avalugg seemed to do its job well, the heavy fog lifting a considerable amount. It wasn’t fully cleared, not yet, but it was enough to deal with the worst of it. Carefully checking their surroundings, she cautiously moved forwards, eyes on a constant swivel looking for anything that might indicate the Weezing they were supposed to be clearing out.

For a solid minute, there was nothing- it felt almost anticlimactic. Where were they? But just when she’d wondered if the Weezing were even there anymore, she spotted movement out of the corner of her eye. Whipping around, trainer and Pokémon were both on high alert, Darling shooting out a Blizzard in the direction of the movement. Whether it had hit or not remained to be seen, however, as the warehouse remained deadly silent. Signalling to her Pokémon to move forwards, Kim was released from her ball once more to join in the search.
