the relicanth paddles lazily across the pool in the oceanic museum. it blinks at its trainer from inside the tank, though if it tried to indicate any disappointment to her, its expression remains mysterious and impassive. persephone studies its expression for a moment and reaches an arm in to pat it on the back sympathetically.

"they'll be bringing in a friend for you soon," she reassures it, though she doesn't sound particularly confident. hearing voices behind her, persephone glances up to see the newcomer enter the room.
