Whoever Adam had been on the phone with liked to exaggerate as well as be a coward.

Marina was perfectly fine, if maybe a little chuffed she had been taken in by a rather busy-body abomasnow. The cavern was warm and dry and quite well lit despite the general state of shoal cave. She was parked on a pile of leaves and grass, a nest, with a trio of very young Snover trying to press berries against her face. She supposed it may have been her own fault... the downy winter jacket she had worn to the cave had a Snover based design. There was a good chance that the mama Abomasnow had just figured she was an abandoned child and taken her in.

Still, it was uncomfortable regardless of her current relative safety. The mother would find out she was a human at some point and might not react kindly. Sighing, Marina gently pushed another Yache berry from her face and fetched one of her pokeballs; thankfully the mother had ran off a while ago to chase off a Glalie who had come sniffing around. Maybe she had time.

Robusta was called out, the Obstagoon shaking himself and stretching before peering around the room. "Robusta," Marina started, prim and firm. "go and find us an exit." The dark type seemed unsure but eventually shrugged and stalked off. Looks like Adam would meet the pokemon before his sister.

By the time that Adam and his Dragapult had started their journey, Robusta was just about finishing. He had managed to slip past the Abomasnow wandering the depths and was not sniffing around to find the entrance of the cavern and maybe find some help. However, he sniffed a familiar scent, which made him poke his head out.

"Stagoon! Goon!" He growled out, absolutely delighted to see his trainer's favorite person! And his second favorite human! He charged forward, arms outstretched, aiming to give Adam the biggest hug he could manage. What could he say, the dark type was very affectionate.

Marina, meanwhile, had managed to get the Snover to calm down and stop trying to feed her. She had the both of them sitting next to her, telling them a story about knights and dragons from her youth to pass the time. She was still very nervous but she felt better knowing that Robusta was getting help. Plus, she did still have her Appletun in a pinch.

Robusta nodded quickly before pulling away, pointing deeper into the cavern. Since Adam Lycaon was now in the know, he dashed off back into the cavern, knowing full well that the other human would follow. Adam loved Marina as much as Robusta did, after all! There was no way that he would let her stay all alone in the icy cave!

The trip was short lived, as when he turned a corner, the mongoose pokemon ended up running right into what they should have avoided- the Abomasnow. The pokemon turned around as Robusta tried to get his balance again, looking very upset. How dare this pokemon! She wouldn't let it get through to her babies!

Taking a deep breath, the Abomasnow unleashed an Icy Wind.

Not wanting to let Adam Lycaon or his pokemon have all the fun, Robusta huffed when he got his balance and hopped into the fight as well!

Meanwhile, down the icy cavern, Marina could hear the sounds of the fight. She wasn't that far away, after all, plus the cavern echoed. The three Snover whined, suddenly, one of them running off and down the path towards the noise. Sighing, she stood up when the other two Snover took her hands and seem distressed, pointing after their sister.

Marina wasn't really happy about this but allowed herself to be pulled out of the safe part of the cavern, down the way by the two pokemon. Each one hand and quickly they found the third Snover, who was hiding behind a bend in the cave to watch the fight, big tears in her eyes. Marina glanced out to try and see what was happening, only to see...

"Adam?!" She called out, sudden, steeping from her hiding spot. The three Snover followed, half hiding behind her and peeking out, glaring at the other human. How dare he hurt their mama!

Watching the fight rage in front of her, Marina wasn't sure what to feel. For one, she was being saved- which was great. But, she also felt bad for the trembling forms of the frightened Snover who were clinging to her. On top of these mixed feelings was also the elation of seeing her brother again- and so quickly after coming to Hoenn, no less. It was truly some type of miracle or blessing that Adam Lycaon was the one to come to her rescue. It was hard to pick and choose on what to let wash over her.

When one of the Snover whined, Marina settled on determination. While she loved Adam and knew he was just doing this to protect her, she couldn't allow him to hurt the Abomasnow too badly.

"Adam! It's just a mother protecting her babies!"
