THE RESEARCH INSTITUTION OF EVOL, a laboratory BASED IN LITTLEROOT. the lab facility is DIRECTED BY zenji jabami . the establishment has a consortium of bright minds and young researches riddled with enthusiasm and vigor; each ready to unravel the mysteries of both pokemon and hoenn.

at evol WE RESEARCH VARIOUS ASPECTS OF SCIENTIFIC FINDINGS. be it evolution, pokemon, ecosystems, battling, artefacts or even anything related to hoenn's historical birth and lore, you name it. the research center has a strong support from those at league headquarter. if there is a trainer starting out on their journey, they're brought over to zenji's laboratory to receive the proper startup. though it's rare said trainer will ever meet the professor due to his constant need on the field.

as the director of evol, zenji has hired a variety of aides. be they fresh out of school or interns, there's always room and a high demand for both field and office workers. with all that happens in hoenn, the building could use a few fresh new faces.

DIRECTOR OF THE RESEARCH CENTER, zenji is the captain of this ship. though, on first meet, you wouldn't think that. he has a knack for throwing his work onto those under him. it's not his way of saying he's "better than you" or "smarter", but it's his way of saying that he has a lot of faith in that individual. it's his strange way of acknowledging your ability/ he may not outwardly say it, but how one interprets his actions proves little concern to him.

zenji is constantly taking people under his wing who show interest in the study of pokemon.

zenji's a hard guy to figure out. HE IS A FORMER FRONTIER BRAIN THAT PREVIOUSLY REPRESENTED THE SYMBOL OF KNOWLEDGE, but has since retired that life. it's not exactly known as to why, but when asked he'll usually say, "i just wanted to put my education to better use." rumor has it that when he was young, and born in littleroot, he was a delinquent in his youth.

A HOMELESS DELINQUENT WITHOUT FAMILY, he was abandoned by his parents at a young age. zenji had a small relationship with the boy that mimicked a big brother/little brother sort of deal. in all honesty, zenji found the shitty brat to be annoying but liked the moxie on him. he saw the boy as someone with a bright future, too bad he fell into the wrong crowd.

it had been a long time since he saw the kid. once he reunited with bryan, he had chosen to take the homeless child in. offering him shelter, food, and a probationary job. zenji has laid out some ground rules to ensure he didn't bring any riffraff into his home and workspace. currently, he's serving a probationary period as zenji's apprentice. though, i'd say more like an assistant at best. i don't think zenji's been doing much teaching since recruiting the errand boy.

since the research institute of evol's growth. the institution has become one of league's main line of contact for anything that may involve the unnatural. situations that involve outside sources have recently caught the director's attention. it was recommended by FERNANDO SILPH that they reach out to the institution due to his recent expedition with the director. in doing so, it was also requested that the director fill the empty seat of league's head scientist. impressed by his research on the unnatural waveforms caused by the discovery of a ruin and connecting it to the recent residue brought by ultra wormholes ( coining them as AUFWACHEN WAVEFORMS ) . an offer had been brought up by FERNANDO SILPH . at first, zenji wasn't interested within the title...at least until more funding was promised. along with any assignment in need of a head researcher being thrown to his team first.
