Sleep was unattainable in this bloody heat, the man had come to accept.

He rested along the grass under the moonlight, his tent set up but vacant, it's design, intended to keep the cold away, doing little more than harm in the blasted heat of a tropical night.

He had sent away a trio of little pokemon packing after giving them a well deserved earful, but now he had nothing to entertain himself with other than his thoughts, the stars in the sky, and the moon.

Needless to say, he was hoping something would attempt to kill him any time now.

The next time something sprang from the leaves, it was not a baby pokemon.

It was a teenager. And certainly moved with the arrogant swagger of one.

It swaggered up to him as he laid on the soil and stared him down- before sniffing at him with a smug look on its face.

For that, it got bonked across the head by the blonde.

"Don't you sass me, you cheeky punk!" The man had said as he put it in a chokehold. "You think I've any patience in this bloody heat?!"
