Upon reaching the lower district of the city, she took a moment to pause and catch her breath. She had just finished spending the better half of three hours trekking through the wilderness surrounding the city's walls, and well, she was beyond the point of exhaustion. Even the blaring sound of her favorite band's sick guitar rifts and drum solos weren't enough to revive her from the deep state of fatigue she was experiencing. "Just one trip to the store and I'll be free..." She huffed, running her fingers through her purple hair, which was currently drenched in sweat. As much as she loved being a ranger, the training required sucked ass. I should just become a damn cam girl and be done be done with it, was a common thought that always flooded her mind during moments like these.

She pushed herself off the lamp post she was leaning against and began making her way towards the nearby convenience store. With the exception of a single business man screaming on his phone, the sidewalk was completely empty, allowing her to shut her brain off for a moment and focus solely on the music being played through her earbuds. Then, just as she glanced down at her phone to change the current song, Danny suddenly felt herself collide into a human wall. "Ah shit, my bad."

Slateport’s lower district seems abuzz with life as the reparations are going well. Looking at it now, it’s a night and day difference compared to how it previously was. Broken stalls with debris littered all around has now been replaced with fully fixed and functioning ones. There’s a sweet scent of barbecue as even food stalls have begun operating once again.

The ex-Interpol officer’s lips curve upwards, smiling fondly at the sight of it all. He takes a deep breath, basking in the beauty of society before lighting a cigarette.

His red eyes slightly stick to the end of the cigarette. It’s bad for his health and it’s bad for the environment. The man nonchalantly shrugs his shoulders. ”Eh, what the hell. New Years resolution, I’ll quit smoking.” he mutters to himself, walking down the somewhat crowded but open streets.

Hendrix’s ears slightly perk to the sound of gruff shouting. Feeling as if something has gone astray, he moves closer towards the commotion, curious as to what’s going on and wondering if he should intervene in his alter-ego. As he gets closer, he feels something suddenly and roughly brush against him.

Turning slightly behind him, he finds himself staring face to face with a pretty cute goth girl. Arching his brows slightly, he smiles. ”Whoa there, you still fighting a Christmas rush or something?” he teases, somewhat amused.

The girl’s shouts only get louder as he quickly passes by. “QUICK, SOMEONE HELP ME STOP THOSE LILLIPUPS!” Hendrix’s brows slightly wrinkle and crease close together as he realizes that a litter of Lillipups have managed to wrangle themselves loose from their dog walker.

A roaring red hue splashed across her cheeks as looked up and came to the awful realization that the human wall she had rudely bumped into was, in fact, a cute human wall. While she was never the type to concern herself with what others thought of her appearance, there was something eminently embarrassing about running into an attractive man when she was currently smothered in sweat. Hell, she wasn't even wearing her cute sweat pants today. Danny's violet eyes averted towards the adjacent store's window display. "Uh, I-" Her sheepish response was curtailed by a sudden yelp for help.

Before she could even begin to process the situation at hand, the litter of lillipups scattered themselves throughout the open street, excited to explore the various different features this new environment had to offer. A few scampered into different alleyways, while the others simply kept to the street.

The ranger instantly forwent her trivial worries and jetted over to the frazzled young woman as she was still pleading for help. "Ma'am, ma'am. It's going to be okay. I'll get them for you, so don't worry." She offered the woman a reassuring smile. "Before I go, can you tell me how many lillipups got loose?"
