His hands clench tight against the bloodied collar of another man. There’s smoke filling the air – filling his lungs. At his feet lies a beaten and battered Houndoom. Its legs are twisted and its tongue lays limp from its sharp teeth. He can’t tell whether it’s dead or not. Not that it matters.[break][break]

“I-I don’t know-“ but before the man can finish, his right fist hammers down into the man’s cheek.[break][break]


No words part from the Pokken Rider’s lips… not like the man can see anyways. His fist comes down again, beating down onto the man whose grisly wails come to a stop, replaced by the sound of blood gurgling from his esophagus. He’d stare at the more violent vigilante if he could, but his eyes are bruised and swollen shut.[break][break]


It's another dead trail even with Rocket becoming emboldened after their siege of Sootopolis and he knows full well that he can’t just storm the castle by himself.[break][break]


The Pokken Rider’s grip loosens, dropping the man onto the cold hard concrete. It’d be so much easier to just end things here and now, but he knows that it wouldn’t change anything. Public opinion is swaying and there’s nothing he can do to stop it.

Hendrix quietly stares at warm steam coming from his breath as he thinks about the turbulent year he’s had thus far. From starting his career as a vigilante to having the schematics to his suit get stolen to becoming a wanted criminal by Interpol, things just haven’t gone right for him.[break][break]

Fortunately, he doesn’t have to deal with the cold as he can feel the warmth from Flammy transmit through his suit. Good thing it’s insulated.[break][break]

Looking up towards the sky beneath the trees, he thinks about how easy it might be to just escape from everything. But, the sound of sneezing catches his attention. He looks over towards the freezing man hugging his large rat tightly. He chuckles at the sight and makes his way towards the man.[break][break]

”Care for a smoke?” he asks, removing a crumpled box of brand cigarettes from his coat’s pockets.[break][break]

Hendrix can’t help but to stay on guard after being on the run for the past year. His eyes narrow towards the man slowly approaching. The sparks of electricity flash out past his eyes causing him to feel the heavy thumping of his heart beating from his chest. Taking this small interlude to compose himself, Hendrix takes a deep breath. [break][break]


”Who are you?” He asks the stranger. ”Not many take the time to walk around in this time of night.” [break][break]


Suspicions are high though that’s a given with the cruel events that have happened as of late. His fists reflexively tighten as he readies himself for a fight.

Hoenn has become unfamiliar for the vigilante. It's baffling how something can change in just a year, but Hendrix has no qualms about it. He understands just how turbulent life can get from one single event.

There's a small lull of peace as winter festivities are quickly coming. People from all over Hoenn have stopped by Shoal Cave in hopes of catching an Eevee or Glaceon. Their obsession over the pokemon and its evolution stages overwhelming.

Seeing their excitement, he might as well join in and jingle all the way.

Whispers of unspeakable horror has spread throughout Mauville City as of late. The streets have gone eerily quiet as the once bustling streets have emptied out bereft of the population expected from a commercial hub. Bodies of pokemon have recently surfaced in abominable conditions with limbs surgically grafted onto one another in perverse and sick attempt to conceive a grotesque monstrosity.

Like a fly attracted to a warm light, he too is drawn in by the rumors. His approach is slow and meticulous with each step and glance surveying the area. He can feel the tension of his muscles wind throughout his body as he’s never felt more vulnerable.

Fatigue slowly washes over him leaving him wondering when he last slept. His eyes close briefly before slitting open and he delves further deeper into one of the city’s complexes – his gut instincts telling him that he’s close to the source of the madness. A sudden noise jolts his senses into high alert as he swipes his trench coat aside revealing a large belt with an odd device as its buckle.

The buckle quickly begin to gyrate with loud whirs with sparks of electricity emitting from it.
