Knuckled clutched, the ranger pierced through the crisp winter air, soaring straight towards Fortree City. As she grew closer, the hollering sound of sirens slowly crescendo into something earsplitting. Danny tugged on her Staraptor's feathers, indicating her desire to swoop down onto the ground, so she could survey the area.

Hysteria filled the air as people ran both left and right, attempting to flee the area with whatever amount of goods they had quickly gathered together. The clamor of whining children and frightened parents rang in her ears as she trudged straight towards the source of the chaos: the fire itself.

It had seemed that she was late to the party, as a group of individual heroes were gathered around the entrance of the forest, discussing their next course of action. The leader of the group, who came across as a local veteran Ranger, gruffly explained a brief summary of events before splitting bundle of trainers into teams of two. Eventually, his ash coated finger pointed directly at Danny, "You two," His finger then pointed to a man beside her, "Focus on rescuing any survivors."

The group swiftly broke out into their individual teams, leaving Danny alone with her partner. "You ready or what?"

Reports of a sudden wildfire breaking out in Fortree City has been flooding not only the news but also on the police and ranger scanners. There are plenty of calls for all rangers to organize and gather at the wooden city immediately; however, the blaze only worsens in the presence of a heavily woodland forest.

The man standing next to the female ranger seems gob smacked at the situation; after all, he’s only a rookie and hasn’t been a ranger for long. His voice trails through stammers as he nervously glances back at Danny. “How are we going to go through that without the proper equipment?” the ranger hesitantly asks.

There’s blast from one of the nearby buildings as it combusts further into flames. The shadow of a man can be seen leaping out from the fire with a child in his arms as he scales down from the burning tree with what appears to be a grappling gun.

The Pokken Rider lands before the two rangers, retracting the rope back to the gun before standing over the shaken ranger – passing over a young child to the man. ”Get him to safety.” the vigilante commands before turning to face the fire once more – his helmet briefly turning to face the familiar woman.

The vigilante’s helmet’s vizors briefly light up red as he scans the area. ”If you’re not doing anything, follow after me. There are still a few people stuck in that building.” the unsanctioned hero says, breaking off into a rapid sprint as he rushes towards another building.

He extends his arm out with his wrist slightly tilted downwards as a HYDRO PUMP suddenly fires out from his wrist – momentarily blowing away the fire with a rush of water.

Danny gritted her teeth. The stammering idiot beside her was an obvious rookie who was likely to act more as dead weight than an actual asset to their rescue effort. Sure, he seemed relatively new to the job, but that didn't change the fact that his inexperience could cost them a life. Just like before. "Calm down and le-" Before she could finish her curt pep talk, a sudden flash of red flooded her vision.

Blinking, the ranger examined the gaudy display of heroism, unsure of how to react. Was she starring in some power rangers episode, or was this still real life? However, given the dangerous situation they were in, she gulped down these questions and wordlessly followed his instructions. As they rushed forward, she released Prince from his ball and direct him to follow close by.

Upon entered the building, Danny's eyes scanned their surroundings, taking a moment to assess the scene. The house was engulfed in flames - the living room, which they had just entered, was completely overtaken by an intense level of heat. "HELP, PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!" The muffled cries of a woman was barely heard over the roaring flames. Coughing, the ranger sprung into action, cautiously climbing up the stairs towards the cries. Her Prinplup followed close behind, calming down whatever flame hindered their rescue. The second floor of the house was a simple hallway with several doors sprinkled on either side. The continued pleads came from one of the doors on the far right.

Danny, who was running on pure adrenaline, searched the ground before proceeding any further. She needed to make sure the flooring, which wasn't overrun by flames as much as the first floor, wouldn't give in the moment she took a step forward. Looked safe enough. Prinplup used fury swipe on the door blocking them from the wailing woman, instantly shredding the piece of wood into slices of three. Inside the room was a woman hurdled in the corner with two children wrapped around in her arms, burying their faces in her chest. Tears were streaming from her face, ruining the mascara which was smudged across her face. "Don't worry, ma'am, help is here." Danny's words were hushed and comforting - like an angel coming in to rescue one of the damned. Of course, she wasn't quite as angelic, as her face was slowly being dirtied by ashes. She looked back at the red power ranger. "Do you think you can carry the two children? I can escort the mom and clear the path if need be."
