This place was dangerous, yes, but he knew that there was something to be—gained. Something of value.

He was missing just one more Pokémon (or was it two?) and then his entire roster would be complete. Anything after that would be—well, anything after that would be fair game to swap away and trade…

Right?

The hairs on the back of his neck stood up on end as he strode deeper into the place. While the air thrummed and crackled with the very essence of energy—the good thing about it was that it wasn’t fucking lava. Lava made him fucking uncomfortable.

These environs, he could tolerate.

The first thing he encountered—well, then.

Chuckling softly, he knew that he already had one in the appropriately-named Thor. And that he owed the Electivire some exercise time because of it, whoops.

Skirting around the dangerous field of electricity, he went on towards another area, making sure to not touch anything because the entire place crackled. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up, as if anticipating something…

The next Pokémon was something he already had—however there was someone looking for Ghost-types and had one particular Pokémon he had been looking for the longest time.

And this Doublade was perfect.

“Ryujin, go,” he remarked as he summoned the Swampert, jumping out of the burst of red light. Without warning the Doublade launched an Aerial Ace at the dual-type. In retaliation, the Swampert released a blast of Rock Slide, an attempt to deflect the incoming attack!

Grumbling as she slid backward, the Swampert took aim and fired off a Hydro Pump at the incoming blades as it attempted a Fury Cutter.

Was it even possible to cut water? The Doublade was forced back, before the Swampert released a Whirlpool and trapped the Doublade in a spinning vortex.

“Whoa, okay, calm down,” he chuckled as he threw a Pokéball at the Doublade that was now in the ‘spin cycle’ caused by the Whirlpool.
