Yui was once again out and about exploring route 120, for some reason she really really liked this route a lot, there were plenty of trees, plenty of pokemon, and a bunch of quiet places for her to relax and chill out. She didnt like the outside really but from time to time it was good to get out of the office and or her apartment and enjoy the outdoors. Especially when there was cute Pokémon around that this route was known for, however it was also known for spawning nasty dark types who liked to cause a bit of trouble for people and unfortunately Yui was about to be the victim for one of those hijinks

"Alright!" she shouted at the top of her lungs, "Pokemon of Hoenn let's see what you got!" the Unovian gym leader wore a toothy smile as she stepped onto the route. The gargantuan Tytraintar next to her sighed heavily at her antics.

"Oh hush. I think you'd be more excited Goji! We'll hopefully be adding some more members our little band of misfits today." Aaliyah couldn't wait. She couldn't remember the last time she'd gone out of her way to capture a new Pokemon. Her business in Hoenn was the perfect opportunity to fix that.

Yui had found a rather interesting little Pokémon in the bushes she was looking around. It seems she found a zorua, one of the most mischievous dark types one could think of with it's special ability to transform. Yui totally wanted this little baby for herself and her mischievous plans. She snuck up behind it and managed to bonk it on the head with a pokeball and initiated the capture process. [break][break]

After the events with Zorua passed, Yui turned around and suddenly found a person nearby who frightened her with her voice. Yui jumped up and screamed from the fear of her challenging all the Pokémon of hoenn. She quickly gathered herself up and brushed the dust off of her clothes from her falling down. "You know, you'll scare them all away like that with your shouting!" she said getting mad and embarrassed that this girl managed to spook her unintentionally.

Aaliyah spotted the Pawniard cautiously making its way across the route. The poor thing looked lost and afraid. Watching it move around nervously almost broke her heart. As a member of her team, she'd see to it that the little guy had more confidence to his stride.

While he was distracted by something in the nearby bushes Aaliyah tossed a Dusk Ball at him.

She'd just finished up with the Pawniard when a nearby blonde girl shouted at her. Aaliyah chuckled, "Nah! A little bit of shouting is good for em." Aaliyah looked the blonde up and down. Her chuckle turning into mild laughter upon noticing the dirt on the woman's clothes.

"Maybe you're the one I should be worried about Blondie." she grinned and extended a hand to the stranger. "Names Aaliyah and that's Goji." she nodded to the Tytraintar who let out a grumpy groan.

"Don't mind him - he's in a bit of a mood today."

Woahhhh that's one heckin big boy "Tyranitar, armor pokemon huh?" she said as she walked over to the tyranitar and began to pat the pokemon. She hoped he'd like the spot where she was patting. "Tyranitar's are pretty impressive pokemon to raise..you did well with this one from what I can tell." She looked over to the girl and extended her hand daintly to shake it "Yui Silph." she said giving her name to the stranger noting that the girl didn't give her last name. However she didn't think much of it honestly, "So what brings you to this route?" she said walking away from the pair as she spotted a lickillicky with a massive tongue. Yui lobbed a pokeball right at it and waited for the ball to tick down to confirm a capture. She watched closely, a pokeball ready in hand in case it failed and she'd have to defend herself against the angry pokemon.

Aaliyah slaps a hand against Goji's chest, "Hell yeah, Goji is the strongest Pokemon I own." the Tyranitar puffs out his chest proudly. "He's a bit temperamental, though - kinda like me." Aaliyah can't help but laugh as Goji rolls his eyes at her.

"Oh shut up, you know it's true."

Yui's last name sounds familiar to Aaliyah and it takes her a minute to realize why. "Silph? As in the Silph's of Silph Co?" if so, that was quite the impressive pedigree.

She follows after the blonde - stopping to catch a Litleo she spotted out the corner of her eye. The tiny lion doesn't stand a chance as Goji steps into frame behind Aaliyah. His overbearing presence and terrifying expression enough to make the Pokemon freeze in place. She tosses another Dusk Ball and it sucks the lion inside with a shadowy aura.

Paying little attention to if she succeed it or not, Aaliyah glances over to Yui. "Never been to Hoenn before a few days ago. Either too busy touring or manning my gym in Unova to visit anywhere else. Figured I'd catch a few Pokemon while I was here." she looks back at the Pokeball.

"What about you?"

Something out the corner of her eye caught Aaliyah's attention. It wasn't just her either Goji noticed it as well. A subtle shimmer of light where the grass meets the trees. Tyranitar groaned, reluctant to act. He didn't even really bother to move until the source made itself known.

It was a Zoroark whose illusion skills could use a bit of work. It had probably been following Yui ever since she caught the Zorua. Before it could try anything sneaky, Goji took care of it. Tyranitar lunged forward, his fangs surging with electricity. Goji clamped his jaw down onto the Zoroark's side. Electricity flooded the fox's systems, leaving it paralyzed.

Aaliyah tossed a Dusk Ball. When it clicked, Goji retrieved the ball and tossed it to her.

"Sorry about that. You were saying?"

It seemed like this girl was pleased with yui's analysis, noting it's the strongest pokemon she owned to which yui continued to look at the tyranitar. It was super obvious that her love and care for tyranitar was top notch. "Well your love for him is super apparent." She said as she looked up and noted a pikpek was flying around in the sky above them to which she just ignored, wondering if it was related to the toucanon she caught the other day. "Yes, the very one." she sighed as she was surprised anyone really even paid attention to her last name, she was the least famous of the bunch, a ghost of sorts. "Ah so your first time here? Welcome to hoenn then." she exclaimed as it was nice to have a gym leader from a different region from her wording "You had a gym huh? Im surprised I didn't hear about your arrival, I tend to keep in touch with that kinda news." she said as she placed her hands together.

"I have a gym." she corrects, almost before Yui can even finish the rest of her sentence. "I didn't give it up to come here or anything." like she'd ever do something like that. Aaliyah enjoyed being a gym leader far more than anyone close to her realized. Even if she didn't always like the responsibility that came with it.

"It's a recent thing. From what I understand, I'm not the only gym leader the league reached out to. Not too clear on the exact details." she says with a shrug. She probably should be, but Aaliyah never paid much attention to the fine print. That's what she had people like her bandmates and manager for.

Distracted again, Aaliyah spots another Pokemon. A Grimmsnarl, and she's quick to attack it. Goji is terrifying and ruthless in his approach. A Stone Edge followed up with a Thunder Fang make the Grimmsnarl easy to catch.

"Sooo I have to ask, what kind of music are you into? Ever heard of the band Stellar Hydra?

Ohhhhhh...so she's like on vacation? Yui was kind of puzzled...who would be able to take her challenge if she was here? She was going to ask but she saw no situation where it didn't end poorly so she held her tongue for once. "Ahhh. I see, yeah the league is having a hard time keeping it's control on the region at the moment so im not surprised they asked for help." she explained. "But the more the merrier I suppose, I only wonder how much this is gonna age up Fernando." she said worrying out loud for her older brother's health. It was then a putrid smell filled her nose and Yui cringed back, was it an aromatisse? She looked around, they dont really hang around here very much...stunky. She found the pokemon known for making disgusting smells and taking glee in it torturing people with it's smells. Yui had enough to his villainy and decided to promptly throw a pokeball at it's head and caught it immediately. [break][break]

"Music?" she said in response to aaliyah's question, "I dont really listen to a lot of music. Just whatever's on the radio." she responded "If I had to pick i gues...like...chip tune? it's the method they used in a lot of old games so..." she continued wondering why exactly aaliyah was asking that question, did she like music a lot? "You?"
