The empty land certainly had a...forboding feel to it. The empty land with sharp formations, the many nooks and crannies that something could be hiding it. There was a purpose to coming here. While Maybelle and Magnus were good pokemon to have, two pokemon wasn't going to help him very much in Team Rocket. Plus, people could recognize them easier...he had to come up with back ups to use. To help make it less suspicious he was the one odd man with a underbite, in a rocket uniform commanding a incineroar and granbull with those names....coincidences didn't go that far.

"Alright..." Mercutio muttered as he cracked his neck.

Taking a seat on a large rock, he kept his gaze open and fixated toward the more open area of this part in the pass. It was midday and thankfully it was a cooler day than most. IT certainly stood out in his spot, the only red thing there for miles possibly.

Spotting the toxicroak crossing the way, Mercutio pondered it for a moment. They were a fighting type, strong and being dual typed wasn't a bad thing. However having to contend with the posion aspect was new terrain for him. The butler would actually spar with his pokemon, so a poison fighting type might not work best for him. The pokemon noticed him and after a steady, silent staring contest between the two. The tall frog leaped away, completely left alone.

Perhaps something else was nearby? Mercutio stayed put, letting his green gaze scan the area once more.

Once more half fighting type appeared, nothing wrong with that. And yet it confused him. He heard they were half normal, so why was this fighting pokemon half of what was super weak against it? That didn't mean the pokemon wasn't able to defend itself but...it would prove issues. They were also big, which did go well with if he wanted to spar with them. But...Mercutio just didn't feel that interested in them. The fur looked soft on the pokemon and he knew if he had them walking around the household, it could prove a little tricky. Bulky limbs and a thick size wouldn't help them navigate with people around...oh well.

Maybe one more go for the day and then he'd head on home?

The baltoy was a interesting possibility but once more, he didn't see it as a part of the team. So Mercutio rose to his feet and started on home. There wasn't going to be something you could get each outing, and this was just one of those. Perhaps he should've gone with one of the earlier options? Perhaps he should've tried a different spot? Or maybe, it just wasn't meant to be at all.
