Derrick hadn't prepared enough pokeballs for all these encounters. If he remembered correctly he only had two left, not that he had much money to go and purchase anymore. It was a pain being broke, he would need to look for decent paying jobs again. From the looks of things Senon had gotten himself into another pokemon battle. Derrick had been impressed, he had been pretty tired from the battles he just did yet Senon looked to be just fine. He figured that it had to do with experience.

Derrick's eyes widened when Senon explained how long he had been doing it. "That's impressive, any thing your working towards?" He did remember that Senon briefly mentioned ambitions, and figured it had something to do with it. Derrick himself had a pretty big ambition, he also had been working in engineering for quite some time. So he wasn't exactly sure why when Senon told him that he had been doing it for eleven years he got so surprised. "Kanto huh? I'm from Galar. Never visited Kanto before" Derrick didn't travel to much, only having been to the two regions he told Senon.

The sudden emergence of a Rhydon made Derrick jump. The pokemon did not looked to pleased at the two trainers. Derrick didn't have any good matchups against the Rhydon, so he figured that he would just make Daze battle it and hope he got extremely lucky.
"Use Shock Wave"
The opposing Rhydon used Earth quake, giving a direct hit to Daze.
"Over Drive!"
Rhydon hit Daze with Drill Run.
"Noble Roar!"

Seeing that the Rhydon backed down, Derrick chucked a pokeball at it.

"I think maternal grandparents were originally from Galar." Ignoring the questioning about what he was 'working towards' Sénon instead fielded the questions about home his home region. "Kanto isn't beautiful as Alola nor as culturally rich and historic as Galar but it was a technological marvel." The smile he had when speaking of it died as fast as the next sentences formed. "Its not really much of a tourist attraction these days."

After taking such a beating from the Shuckle, Terawr was a little worn down, which meant it was perfectly time to go.

"I'm calling it; all finished for now." Between the Lunatone, Sliggoo and two other captures his proverbial pockets felt full and noticing a Vibrava come into the clearing he decided to 'stuff' those pockets before moving on with his day.

"I see, Galar is a big place. There's a lot to do in the region" Derrick said a little unsure what to say to that, but his words held a truth. Galar was a great region to be in, luckily it hadn't been affected to much by the conflict that had been occurring in other regions. Derrick also frowned when Senon mentioned how Kanto wasn't really ideal for tourists at the moment. "I'll have to visit Kanto when things calm down, I'm sure it's a fantastic place." He told Senon as he scratched his hair. Derrick let out a small sigh, he hoped that his response was ok. He didn't know what else to say, as he felt apologizing wouldn't make sense.

"Yeah I caught a lot more then I could hope for. Usually I'm bad at catching pokemon, but with you here I caught a lot! Maybe your my lucky charm." He said in a light hearted joke, finding it funny himself. He was about to leave as well, only when another pokemon caught his eye. A boldore. Looks like this would be his final catch for the day.

He sent out a new pokemon, a coalossal to battle it instead of making Daze battle when he was worn out.
