Three catches is soon to be four as Baby sets her sights on one last target. The Carvanha is tired, battered, but she wants nothing more than to impress her trainer. So she rushes back out into the water (breathing a little heavily) to sink her teeth around the tail of a passing pokemon.

The Simipour lets out a few surprised shouts at the feeling of Baby CRUNCHING into her sensitive appendage, but unlike a few other opponents in the day it's quick to respond. It dives deeper into the water immediately so it can easily swim around and LEER at its attacker.

Baby withers a little under its gaze and attempts to release it and change position. The Simipour was hoping for this response and swims in close as the Carvanha attempts to make some space. FURY SWIPES are thrown out the moment Baby is in arm's reach and they find their target once, twice, three times before the Carvanha can wiggle away. It's enough to leave her vision flickering in the dark river's bottom.

Still, she's not done. AGILITY is still active, gives her just enough of a boost to slip out of the way of another FURY SWIPES and get a good lock on the Simipour's momentarily exposed back. The moment isn't wasted. Another AGILITY allows her to get right up to the Simipour's narrow torso and CRUNCH around it.

The Simipour is suddenly incapable of maneuvering. Its claws can't reach for a FURY SWIPE, it can't turn its head to LEER or LICK. It just flails about as Baby sinks her fangs in deeper. CRUNCH turns to POISON FANG like against the Bibarel and the venom is enough to start taking the fight out of Simipour.

This last catch is truly dragged to shore. Baby's breathing is labored and her eyes half-lidded as she struggles to make it all the way back to Plank.

"Ah! Baby, hey, hey!" Plank shouts, reaching down to rub Baby's ragged cheeks. For a moment the prey caught in the Carvanha's mouth is forgotten in lieu of praise and appraisal, "Ya did such a good job, ah Baby I'm sorry I didn't notice how rough ya were gettin' . . ."

When she pulls her hands away from her pokemon, Plank's hands are rubbed raw and lightly bleeding; but she doesn't care. That's just the cost of love sometimes. After tapping the limp wild pokemon with a pokeball, she returns Baby too.

"Well, that's 4-2; and my Baby is too tired t' keep goin'." Plank sighs, standing up straight with a pokeball in each hand (one shaking and blinking, the other peaceful), "I think you're gonna have t' accept this loss, drowned man."

She shoots him a tired grin.
