Bonjour, mon amie. My name is Jade Mercier. I hail from Lumiose City, where I lived with my father for sixteen years of my life. I am male, though I definitely take more after my deceased mother. Unlike my dad, I was born with a slender physique, and probably even wore it better.

Un connard, for those who wish to translate. He placed the Mercier family in debt, drinking himself to debt one way, and being the worst role model of a parent one could have.

He did despicable things. Things I would rather not relive through. He even called me Camille quite a few times. My mother's name. He mistook me for her a few times.

But the horror doesn't end there, mon amie. I often had to work to make ends meet at a young age, starting out getting basically nothing, while went around to every night time establishment for what I now know as cravings. Spent every cent he made. To be honest, love, I found myself hating his very existence.

Naturally, so did Team Rocket. They broke his legs over a large amount of debt. I should have been happy, but eventually was worked like a slave at home, never getting a moment to myself. What's worse, he still would indulge in his carnal pleasures, leaving me with little. When he finally died, I couldn't have been happier.

Understand that I tried my best to make ends meet on a number of occasions for that bastard. I worked at a maid cafe, with some of the world's sleaziest, pig-headed trogolodytes alive, planting my feet and gritting my teeth as best as I could. I have dealt with every kind of abuse possible, and came out the other side best as I could. But the moment he died, I felt elation.

And then I incurred his debt.

A maiden like me, forced now to work with Team Rocket or suffer a similar fate. So, I got my designer bags (that I, myself, bought) and moved to Hoenn, in Slateport City's scummy slums (the only place I could afford and still do my hobbies). Here, I could pay off my debt, and hopefully one day, fulfill my dream. Of course, my small little studio gets lonely, so I found a few roommates. All of them, off the streets, abandoned by the unsavory connards. Skip, Kenzie, and Louis.
