The first thing that caught his attention was a weird-looking… well, more like menacing-looking fish that was lounging near the surface. He wondered what had made the fish have such an ugly mug like that?!

Either way, he urged the Braviary on and away from where the Basculin was sunbathing—he was pretty sure the Water-type would become fish food sooner, if not later.

A loud squawking noise made him look backward—and he was right.

Another Flying-type he wasn’t familiar with had come sweeping down and literally ran off with the Basculin rammed in-between its maw.

“Yikes.”

The next thing that appeared—well, wasn’t that ironically fantastic.

“Huh, a literal living lantern—” he mused to himself, before remembering the stories, the fables, the legends about this particular Pokémon who could carry away children without even batting an eyelash.

“Bloody hell that’s some messed-up shit,” he added a few moments later as he remembered the name of this one that was lazily floating by, not a care in the world.

“Steer clear of it,” he told his Braviary, who then banked to the left, flying low before continuing onward and passing the Drifblim by.

What else were they going to meet out here, he wondered?

The last thing that he caught sight of was a weasel Pokémon, but he wondered—was there someone out there who wanted this?

Certainly there was?

Before he could even formulate a plan on how to approach this Water-type calmly, a powerful Hydro Pump burst very nearly sent him toppling off his Braviary’s back.

“Wow, bloody hell—that was rude!” he barked, hanging on for dear life as the Braviary let out a squawk of shock.

“Alright, that’s it, get ‘er!” he added a few moments later, before the Braviary suddenly rushed forward—in the heat of the moment Adam forgot he was on the Braviary’s back as it came in close for an Aerial Ace attack!

“WHOA!” he yelped, quickly unballing his shit-eating disturber of a Dragapult, and changing mounts mid-air. “Don’t laugh at me!” he shouted at the snarky Dragapult as he made a leap for the dual-type’s back.

“I had to!”

Back where the Buizel and the Braviary were now fighting, the Buizel was continuously spouting Hydro Pump after Hydro Pump attacks at the airborne Pokémon; while the Braviary retaliated with a Crush Claw, before barely dodging out of the way and then coming in low, so low to the surface of the water—

“Oh, it’s all over,” he drawled as the Braviary smacked into the Buizel with a Brave Bird attack, causing it to fly up in the air—where Adam took aim and quickly chucked an empty Pokéball at the airborne Buizel.
