It wasn’t every day that Billi Marsh needed help with dealing with things in the city he had jurisdiction over.

Thankfully, though, the staff at the Sanctuary had everything covered, and there were no matches scheduled for the day—so it was free time for him to go check in on the young man to see what had gotten the other so riled up.

‘I’m outside the Gym, are you ready?’ he typed into the message before sending it on its way.

He knew that the other wanted to get to the bottom of whatever unsavory shit had appeared, and if they succeeded it would definitely get him in a good light for the Petalburg citizens who were still wary about someone who wasn’t even from their place taking up the mantle of being the city’s Gym Leader.

Much as he wanted to wear a disguise and bust this shit while under cover, Alexei figured it would be best to be himself for this evening sojourn.

People thought they were being sneaky, at least criminals did. And normally it wasn’t Billi’s job to deal with all these going ons….but it became alarming as of recently. Pokemon were disappearing and reports were beginning to worry authorities and the like. Turns out the petalburg police only have limited resources, and the best bet to find them was Billi’s bug network. What people didn’t know was Billi was preparing to deal with this regardless.[break][break]

Perhaps they viewed this a moment of distrust, or unease, but with pokemon disappearing Billi had to react quickly or else they’d lose them forever. This was the best bet to save these poor sad pokemon. With a flick of a brush, and a twist of lipstick, a big wig, and a click of heels.[break][break]

“Are you ready to go?” Billi smiled, all done up in his best, badass bitch drag. “you know those rumors...well I found them...well more like...my bugs found them but still.” the blonde adjusted his mega stone accessory. “Agitha will be coming with me….and a few others,” the pinsir clamped her horns as she held Billi’s hand.

“Going all out, are we?” he crinkled his eyebrows in greeting at his drag—no, tonight Billi was not his son, but his daughter.

Done down in all the fabulous glory, he cracked a genuine smile accompanied by a friendly eyebrow wiggle their way.

“Of course I’m ready to go. Cleared out the schedule today to accompany you get to the bottom of this,” he added a few moments later, reaching into his jacket and pulling out a certain pair of deep-purple tinted shades before popping it open to full and setting it on the bridge of his nose.

“Well, I know I look ridiculous wearing shades in the evening, but I got to have at least some form of a ‘disguise’ now, right?” he coughed for a few moments.

“Bless your legion of bugs,” he added a few moments later, nodding approvingly in the Pinsir’s direction. “What information have you gathered so far? Tonight I’m your companion, as they say—the ramp is yours to take and lead on for the evening.”

How far would criminals go to get away with poaching and selling pokemon, illegally. Even worse, the unethical state of the pokemon bodies that have been found, and he’s reported on finding. “Well...we’re going to go pay them a visit, before the police get there,” he cracked his knuckles, and then stretched his legs. “There somewhere in the larger buildings. Using a legit business as a rouse.” Billi commented.[break][break]

Sadly the restaurant he was talking about was the same one that served him and Oscar amazing vegan food on their date but now he was disgusted by the fact that they tricked him. “Of course I have agitha….but I’ll be bringing Impa as well.” the greninja showed herself as she was in Alexei’s personal space without even saying anything.[break][break]

“Let’s get going. Make sure you’re prepared for a battle..” the worry was that this would turn into a life or death battle. And even more...he worried that this group could appear and screw everything up in other places. As they seemed to be organised. “Just...be careful first thing is we save the pokemon inside.” he walked along the path, looking around briefly. “It’s not too far away from here.”

Nodding along quietly at the information shared, he glanced over at the Greninja, before quickly popping a certain containment unit open. Most of his current companions were loud and flashy, but this one—just might do the trick.

“Shh,” was all he said as he raised a finger to his lips the moment his Ribombee made an appearance, making a face at Alexei before twirling in mid-air and looking over and waving at—wait, that wasn’t Billi…

“You’re tiny enough, and I know you like sneaking around. They’re not even going to notice you,” he added as the Ribombee flittered around a few moments before eventually taking a seat on the bridge of Alexei’s shades.

“If you insist.”

He then let his daughter lead the way.

Of course he was ready to ~~bust a nut~~ battle, as the majority of his Pokémon companions were ready to scrap and itching for a fight.

“hi sweetie,” Billi waved to the tiny fly pokemon. It was so cute, but regardless he just smiled brighter. But walking into this building wasn’t going to be easy, so Billi thought. “Okay….we’re gonna have to find a way in,” he turned to the tiny bug. “go find a way in please,” Billi asked the bug pokemon, then turned to his frog. [break][break]

“Impa, work your magic up there,” he nudged the frog, and it quickly camouflage and sprung up the side of the building. “I’m pretty sure their up high,” he commented, “So is this effecting your home?”

“Knowing these people, it’s either there’s an opening we’re overlooking, or they’re actually doing their shit and not giving anyone else easy access in—” he hummed, before shushing the Ribombee to follow the Greninja inside so that they can bust their way in.

Even if he wanted to bust the door down like that reality show where policemen holding firearms literally kicking the door down in the middle of an illegal operation—this wasn’t going to be the same.

Or was it?

“Not that I know of,” he replied. “If there was, I would know about it right away—people are particularly chatty and you hear things from the gossipy people living around,” he added.

He wondered if sending out his other Pokémon companions was a good idea now—well, maybe another one was a good idea.

A few moments later, a muted flash of red light revealed his Lucario, scoring a three-point landing beside him.

“Vince, check how many human auras are inside,” he asked quietly.

Generally the fear… of the duo not returning did run through Billi, after all they were poachers. It wasn’t like they were gonna let pokemon go in and out like a cafe. No...There was just something lingering in his brain about what may be happening up there. “Well that’s good. But I guess you don’t live in a city like this. “ he commented listening closely as the lucario was released.[break][break]

That said the building was filled with people, and even more pokemon making it impossible to tell what was going on. Though one thing was clear, the cry from the fly pokemon, was heard from the window along with a flash Impa’s steel-type natural power and the floors windows bursting. “Shit!” Billi covered his head.[break][break]

“We gotta get in there.” Billi commented, “I wasn’t a criminal before, but breaking and entering is a fine I’ll have to take,”

The Lucario was concentrating—however, with the number of auras it was picking up, its brows became more furrowed before eventually looking up at Alexei and holding up two open paws.

What this meant is that there were too many humans for him to count.

“Crap,” Alexei hissed as the Lucario stared back at him.

And then the shrieking started.

“Carina!” he continued, hoping that the tiny little Ribombee was alright.

“Ah, shit,” he groaned, before pointing towards the door. “Looks like we’re going to have to bust in. No chance of sneaking in…” he trailed off, before unballing another Pokémon just in case things got nasty.

“Vince, let’s go,” he said as he took the lead, rolling up the sleeves of his jacket and gesturing for the Lucario to go forward, which he did. The next burst of red light revealed his Aerodactyl, Terra.

“Keep it down!” he hissed again as the Aerodactyl made to scream, before he pointed after the Lucario.

“Come on, let’s go,” he went on, taking a deep breath before giving the signal to his Lucario to kick the damned door down.

(cue this as the front door is kicked down by the dual-type)

Much as he was tempted to say a certain line that ended with the words ‘open up’, he instead cleared his throat before appearing behind the Lucario, his height lending to some factor of terror.

“This is the Pokémon League!” he began. “Stop whatever illegal operations is taking place in here!”

Ah, shit. Did he fuck up? Oh well.

The shadow of the Aerodactyl looming behind him also leant to the terror as Terra let out a bellowing, intimidating roar.

Alexei was quick to react to the noises heard, and quickly charged himself into the building, luckily for them, Lucario was strong enough to bust down doors. Being quiet? Well that was gonna be hard in heels, and not to mention the fact they just smashed open a door. “I think the element of surprise is gone. So let’s get going,” Agitha stood close by, well in front of them. “We should head up to the floors where they went first.”[break][break]

The blonde moved up the stairs quickly, at an astonishing running pace in heels. His phone light up and Razzberry popped out, “PZZRRTTT” it spun it’s body around in a circle, “ take over the lights,” he commanded and the rotom obeyed flying into the lights turning them on.

Surprise? They didn’t need that.

The moment they’d kicked the door down, what few mooks were there had scattered, surprised and then outright terrified by the roaring of the Aerodactyl that loomed behind Alexei.

He couldn’t help but grin at the sight of ‘Mandi’ in heels, scaling the steps like it was nothing. It took him ages to get used to walking, and then running around in heels—and he didn’t risk wearing stiletto ones, to boot! It was flat all the way for him.

Either way…

“Terra, go! Provide them with covering fire if they encounter anything up there!” he said, and off the Aerodactyl went, shadowing the drag queen and the Pinsir from above. Meanwhile, he stayed down at the ground floor with the Lucario, who still had its brow furrowed his way.

“I know, Vince—Carina’s a tough cookie. But all the same…” he said, unballing another companion and hoping that they weren’t too late.

While it was clearly too large for him to follow up on his Salamence’s back, it was his Noivern who would take center stage this time.

“Vince, get on.”

The Lucario gave him a confused noise, before hopping on the Noivern’s back. He followed not too long after, and then pointed up the stairwell.

“Let’s go!” he urged, and the Noivern took off, the Lucario hanging on tightly for dear life as they followed the sound of heels running up the stairs.

The power of the tall heels clicked against the floor, as the giant moved her way up the steps. Normally most people assume the outfit was painful, but beauty was pain to say. Alexei had left her with his dinosaur pokemon, all while the screech and cries of pokemon in fear echoed from cages. “Well….” then Billi heard the screech of the bug pokemon again, “Razzberry, open the cages,” he ordered as the rotom went to work.[break][break]

In the meantime Billi entered the back room and nearly turned back around. The horrors hidden inside was something out of a higurashi episode. Butchered pokemon, some kind of picture of a type null on the wall. Which….was clear what this factory was….trying to recreate the horrific events of the past. The familiar stench of flesh and despair. An aura that was unmistakably….pestilence, rage, fear.[break][break]

Even worse that Alexei’s poor fly pokemon was nowhere to be found until Impa revealed herself hidden in the corner of the ceiling, hiding the bug in her mouth as if to hush her. Slowly, Billi stepped through the ring of freddy and jason antics. From the other side of the room shot a metal shard that was quickly reflected by the quick thinking of Agitha, he tried to remain unphased by the sight in front of her.

Quickly, without thinking Billi moved forward, with increasing speed, almost running, his chest heaving as he quickly pushed through the agony, just as he always did, the stench ahead, could only mean muk was used to dispose of the remains. But where did the metal come from? “impa, flag Alexei to the roof,” Billi ordered, as the frog disappeared again, and lunged out of the window, spitting the fly out allowing it to return to the trainer, with it’s information.[break][break]

Sadly it wouldn’t be easy for Alexei as the swarm of magnemite, magneton and the magnezone poachers were beginning to gather and attack from various angles. Gyro balls and thunderbolts were flung at alexei from all spots. Just time to test the trainer as the frog returned to a higher floor.

With the way that Billi—no, ‘Mandi’ was climbing the stairs, it became tricky to keep up with the other.

Damn, too fast! He thought, quickly deciding to backtrack outside. Urging the Noivern back out the door his Lucario had kicked down, he then unballed the Salamence in mid-air as well. Okay, so maybe he was a little too risky but who cared?!

“Vince, stay on Fenrir’s back! Provide covering fire for our climb!” he shouted as he literally leapt across the narrow space and almost overshot the landing on his Salamence, who let out a roar of surprise at the sudden weight on his back.

“Gabe, let’s go!” he shouted over the gust of wind as the two draconid-avians took to climbing going up and scaling the building from the outside.

Of course, the single shock of electricity was all he needed as a warning.

“Gabe, Flamethrower!” he shouted once he caught sight of the flock of Magnemite and Magneton honing in on him.

“Fen, accelerate!” he shouted as the Noivern flattened himself and zoomed past most of the obstacles with death-defying flying while he lagged behind and let the flames toast the multiple Magnemite and Magneton that were converging where he currently was.

Maybe charging his way through an enemy stronghold wasn’t a good idea, and even worse not bringing the spiders to help subdue people. That would prove detrimental to him in this instance due to them being able to move discreetly. Luckily Impa was smart enough to return when things got bad, or at least wait for her chance. Though nothing ever went as planned.[break][break]

Surely the horde Alexei faced was going to be easier than charging down these halls like she hulk in stripper heels. Perhaps thinking things through as the blonde charged up the stairs as if it was a treadmill at the gym. The bright blue eyes avoided averting from their mission, which was to make it to the top. All while not getting taken out.[break][break]

Naturally as one would scale the building, more and more disturbances entered, more and more pokemon were bulldozed by Billi’s Rotom and Pinsir. The seventh floor finally appeared, though the lack of light was alarming. Billi’s eyes scanned around using Rotom to light the way, but this sense of danger was filling him. Suddenly the flicker of light, jolted and the electrical zap went down his spine.[break][break]

Billi was down. The electrical current placed directly on his body from the Electrivir light the whole bolding in an electrical charge, and causing a power outage in the block. Sirens began going off everywhere as emergency responders moved to react. Heels clicked down the stairs as the women in charge pushed her emerald hair over her shoulder, “Finish this quickly Electrivir,” Rotom twisted it’s head in worry, as it was scrambled from the ions in the air, and the magnemite quickly gathering that the pinsir battled diligently. [break][break]

Razzberry turned and stared at the coated window, and dematerialized itself into the alarm systems, quickly broadcasting its recording. “PZZRT REVALI,” the scratchy recording from the battle of Lilycove played at max volume. Each system that connected to the sirens played, reaching the bird who always flew nearby his trainer. Headlessly the bird dove from above the clouds, closing its wings as it zipped by Alexei, caring not for the damage it received by ramming into magnemite and the like.[break][break]

It would be clear to Alexei something was VERY wrong if Revali appeared with the blood boiling screech that was only heard among a mother bird protecting her chicks. No time later, the bird pokemon smashed through the window panes with it’s large size, cramming itself in like preservatives all to smack the larger pokemon away from Billi, and cover him with his wings. Even with the electric terrain placed around them, it remained vigilant and determined to take every thunderbolt that struck it. Black steel feathers coated the area, as the darkness was illuminated with the electrical attacks.[break][break]

Billi’s Aura was DIM, and there was no Greninja to be found, and Agitha was busy holding off the invasion of magnemite.

Ascending outside was much faster, to be perfectly fair.

As the Noivern blasted ahead, the Lucario on its back began firing off miniaturized Aura Spheres to snipe the much larger Magneton swarming, preferring to go the ‘bullet hell’ path rather than firing up one singular sphere and recharging. What, who said Aura Sphere only had to come in one flavor?!

The Salamence followed not too far behind, roaring as more flames erupted from his maw and attempted to catch the stragglers of the Magnemite / Magneton horde hell-bent on bringing them down. “Gabe, nice work—” he began, before hearing an all too familiar screeching noise from somewhere.

And it was definitely not any of his fliers.

“Wha—” he blurted out as he saw a familiar-looking Corviknight hurtling past them like a fucking meteor before the sound of breaking glass followed not too long afterward.

The Noivern did an about-face and turned to face the Salamence, an inquiring look. The Lucario’s face, however, was screwed up into one of alarm.

“Vince, what is it?!” Alexei exclaimed as the Salamence flew closer, the last of the Magnemite / Magneton horde dealt with accordingly. The Lucario could only point at the building in alarm, before making impatient gestures.

“What?!” he continued before the Lucario continued to point at the building. He looked skyward—there was no sign of the Greninja from earlier; but there was something small headed his way—it was Carina!

Quickly taking a crash-landing on his outstretched hand, the Ribombee turned to the Lucario and began screeching his way. Alexei could only watch for a few moments before the much-smaller Ribombee passed out and the Lucario continued barking his way.

“Alright, alright! Calm down!” he shouted, recalling the Ribombee before pointing at the general direction of wherever the shattered glass had come from.

“Follow the Corviknight!”
