Of course the deity needed appeasing.

This, Lars could not deny.

While his collection of Ice-types remained pitifully low (how rude) he knew that a certain something wasn’t going to stop bothering him until he’d managed to get all of the known Ice-types in existence.

Maybe it was time to correct that, considering how… little he had.

While he’d prided himself on being someone who didn’t specialize in any one particular type (although he’d noticed that a lot of his companions could—change form, Mega Evolution was a thing but of course only Ro and Alpha could do it so far; Ro moreso than Alpha, whoops) he was starting to feel that not picking a type would eventually bite him in the ass.

So here he was.

Shoal Cave.

It was time…to make this place as comfortable, as close to ‘home’ as he could, in a way.

Wasn’t this the…

“Oh, fuck, not you!” he hissed the moment he saw the Glalie. He just knew that this was the one that had almost eaten him before, on that fateful trek down into the belly of this cave half a year ago.

There were scars all over the horns; that was the tell.

“Yikes!” he continued as the Glalie saw him, and cackling like a motherfucker out for revenge, began to chase after him.

“Not again!” he groaned as he ran full tilt across the ice.

Nope, nope, nope!

He already had one Glalie of his own, thank you very much!

The next thing he encountered—and, well, he also already had this one; albeit from the way it sparkled, nobody could really tell it was a shiny unless they had a discerning eye or they knew what a shiny Bergmite looked like.

Chuckling softly as the Bergmite was loafing around on the ice, Lars decided to leave it be for someone else to take home.

He already had one of them, too.

“You’re better off with someone else,” he said as the Bergmite turned in his direction. “Go on, do whatever it was you were doing before I came around. Sorry if I disturbed you.”

With that, he put as much respectable space and distance between himself and the Bergmite, wandering deeper into the depths of Shoal Cave.

Hmm…

The last Pokémon he’d encountered—well, how ironic was it that he’d started his search and ended up encountering three different Pokémon which he already owned in some capacity?

The loud sniffling of the Cubchoo made him backtrack a few moments before letting out a soft chuckle.

Poor thing… he thought with a bit of a smirk as he watched the polar bear Pokémon waddle around, sniffling up a storm. No, it wouldn’t be wise to take this one either… who knows if there’s a Beartic around here somewhere… he continued as he sidestepped the Cubchoo and continued searching deeper into Shoal Cave’s depths.

Maybe he would find more interesting Pokémon the deeper he went while it was low tide?
