“Hm Hm Hm..” Chloe cheerfully hummed as she cautiously trekked through Shoal Cave, once she got here she was greeted by a pleasant surprise, her carrots were full grown! She dangled the carrots just above her head with an arm, just close enough to get a good luck at the mysterious blue carrots. “They sure do look strange.. ” She mused to herself this was the first time she grew blue carrots. Chloe exactly wasn’t sure what to use them for; when she thought of Angelo and Michi both of them expressed interest in cooking them. While that did sound rather tasty, Chloe had no skill when it came to cooking, so it was out of the question.

She lowered her hand and began to walk again, “Maybe I’ll just sell them, I think that they’ll fetch a hefty price whatcha think Boggles?” Chloe directed the question towards her eiscue, who had been waddling along side her. The pokemon responded with a curious head tilt blankly staring back at Chloe. Chloe sighed and shrugged her shoulders, “You sure are dense aren’t you boggles?” Chloe asked innocently, to which once again the eiscue simply tilted his head.

The cave exit was now in sight, and Chloe was eager to get out of the freezing cave. “I’m sure you like the cave, but I’m eager to leave!” She only paused upon hearing distant steps, and a small feeling that she was under watch.

SHOAL CAVE

TAMING THE HORSE

UPON RETURNING TO SHOAL CAVE, the same unnerving feeling of being watched returns. in this frigid underground, your hard footsteps clack against ice and echo across valleys of frozen blue. however, you instinctively hush yourself. a horse-like pokemon neighs in the distance. a mask of ice surround pupilless eyes. from its hooves, intense cold air wafts.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

however, the horse seems to notice you. it advances closer. the clopping of hooves echo too, orchestrating an endless percussion of icy beats. suddenly, the earth freezes even more so. an additional layer of ice grows outward and higher with immense speed. before you can blink, an icy ramp forms right before you— and the horse slides across the ice in a flash to greet you from their elevated stations.

write a post that has your trainer offering the carrot to the glastrier and then post in MODERATION REQUESTS. after they have been given the carrot, the horse will promptly flash away.

Chloe moved back out of astonishment once she saw the unknown pokemon make an appearance, slowly blinking as she stared at it. Turns out the rumors were true.. a pokemon really did show up, but she had no idea what kind of pokemon this was. The pokemon had an intimidating factor, but Chloe didn't sense any hostility. She figured that the pokemon was after the carrots. She tossed the carrots towards the horse pokemon, a small smile on her face. "Well I hope you enjoy!" She said still finding it difficult to believe her own eyes.

Soon as the pokemon got what they wanted it dashed away, hoof steps echoing throughout the cave. Chloe stood baffled, she wondered if that she came back tomorrow if the pokemon would once again make an appearance.

THE NEXT DAY, you see the horse again. they stroke the ice solid ground with their hooves, seemingly hungry.

when they spot you, the horse seems hesitant. without the iceroot carrots— you do not possess the same gravity you once did; however, it approaches still, sensing your benevolent motives.

GLASTRIER ASKS FOR:

OFFER THE WILD HORSE WHAT THEY SEEK

write a post that has your trainer offering any two week berry to the glastrier and then post in MODERATION REQUESTS. after they have been given the berry, the horse will promptly flash away.

you do not need to have the berry grow in your garden. you can simply purchase it from the SITE SHOP.

should your trainer come the next day, they will find the glastrier in shoal cave once more. shiv will post a new prompt, detailing what the glastrier wants (hopefully, once per day). each request fulfilled by your trainer will steadily tame the glastrier.

The last time she ventured into Shoal Cave Chloe had an unexpected encounter, she met a pokemon she’s never seen before. The mysterious horse pokemon had weighed heavily on her mind lately, she was tempted to go back and hope to encounter it once more. Returning to the icy cave nothing seemed out of the normal just yet. No signs of the pokemon that once approached her. After waiting around for twenty minutes, Chloe spotted it. The pokemon watched her from the far distance, anxiously.

She smiled happy to see it, but took notice of it’s hesitancy. Chloe figured that it was because that she didn’t have any carrots this time. Knowing that it would be best to let the pokemon approach her Chloe waited patiently for it. With cautious steps the pokemon approached closer but still kept their distance.

While she didn’t have the carrots, Chloe did have something else. “Sorry buddy, no carrots but I have this.” She revealed a Rabuta berry, it seemed to catch the pokemon’s attention as it curiously gazed at her. She was glad to see that the pokemon was interested; tossing the berry at the pokemon’s hooves. Watching as it gracefully picked it up, and just like last time it trotted away vanishing from sight without looking back.

Now Chloe felt sure that if she kept returning that eventually she’ll be able to tame the pokemon, she was eager for the that fated day to arrive.

write a post that has your trainer's pokemon using the move, CHIP AWAY, to help groom (or sculpt) the glastrier's icy protrusions and then post in MODERATION REQUESTS. after they have been given the berry, the horse will promptly flash away.

Once again Chloe arrived to Shoal Cave. She had been enjoying the past mysterious encounters with the unknown pokemon, and once again she hoped to meet it. Unfortunately she forgot to bring any snacks for the horse, hopefully it would forgive her. As she entered the cave she began to shiver at the chill breeze. Chloe waited around the spot she saw the pokemon last time, and she smiled happily seeing that it once again approached her.

Her head tilted in slight confusion, and she laughed. "Having a bad mane day I see" Pulling out a pokeball from her belt she summoned her scrafty, who gave the unknown pokemon a rather unfazed look. Chloe grinned brightly, "Alright Ace, were gonna give our friend here a small trim." She said pointing at the horse pokemon, Ace nodded in response and began to slowly approach the pokemon.

She saw that it was starting to get uneasy "Don't worry, Ace looks a little intimidating but he's a gentle guy! I'm confident that you'll get a nice trim from him. With a reassuring nod from Chloe Ace continued his approach, Chloe's words seemed to have calm it down. "Right Ace use Chip Away!" The scrafty gentle began to break away at the horse's icy man, trimming it down to what it looked like previously.

"There! back to looking normal." Chloe said happily, satisfied with Ace's work. The unknown pokemon was also pleased, neighing a thanks before trotting away. Her attention went back towards Ace giving him a gentle tap. "Nice work, time to return home." She pulled out his pokeball once more and made him return, then walked out of the cave eager to come back tomorrow.

THE NEXT DAY, you see the horse— but it seems different in appearance from afar. getting close, you see that the glastrier has become quite dirty. perhaps, it's all that flashing back and forth in the cave that has caused its beautiful equine form to be marred by mud.

when the glastrier sees you again, they seem hesitant. without the iceroot carrots— you do not possess the same gravity you once did; however, the horse approaches still, sensing your benevolent motives. the glastrier must be cleaned. perhaps, there is a pokemon that is an expert at tidying things (and pokemon) up...

write a post that uses ONE MINCCINO OR CINCCINO and a Pokemon using the move, SOAK, to help clean the dirty glastrier. of course, the water may freeze, so work fast! after, post in MODERATION REQUESTS. after they have been cleaned, the horse will promptly flash away.

She arrived at Shoal Cave once more, hoping to see the horse pokemon. Chloe enjoyed spending time trying to befriend the pokemon and she liked to think that things were going well. The pokemon didn’t display any signs of uneasiness whenever Chloe visited.

As she entered the icy cold cave, Chloe spotted it out; this time the pokemon seemed to be waiting for her. It didn’t take long for Chloe to see that the pokemon looked rather dirty, it’s spectacular pelt was now dirt-ridden.

Chloe smiled, tossing out two pokeballs. Chloe’s finneon, Nabi emerged from one of the pokeballs, she splashed happily about in the nearby pool seemingly unbothered by the cold temperatures. From the other pokeball emerged Cinnamo, Chloe had borrowed her from Michiko mainly to help out with laundry but Chloe didn’t see any reason why Cinnamo couldn’t help out with this either!

“Right you two, this guy needs a shower! Help him out please.” Chloe asked with a wink, pointing towards the horse pokemon who watched them blanky. “Nabi, Soak!” The Finneon leaped from the waters, soaking the dirty pokemon in cold waters. Chloe saw how quickly it was freezing and realized that she was on a time crunch. “Cinnamo, dry them off quickly please.”
Cinnamo nodded happily, quickly scurrying towards the soaked pokemon and doing her best to dry them off. By the time Cinnamo was finished, the horse pokemon looked so clean and beautiful!

The pokemon neighed a thanks, dashing off once more. Chloe was just happy to be able to help it out.

THE NEXT DAY, you see the horse. they do not seem hesitant at all this time. instead, the horse appears to be waiting for you closer to the entrance this time, as if the glastrier was in tune with your rhythms. your schedule. in its mouth, a narrow strap of ice dangles and emanates chilly air.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♡

should you take the reins, they are immensely cold to the touch. one wonders if frostbite would crawl up their palms— for the chill is painful against human skin. even worse, it penetrates past any fabric. the glastrier beckons you to mount its back, pristine and well-groomed thanks to both of your effort. with a snort, the horse brings you two to a different shoal chamber. here, a vast field filled with fences of ice, bridges and more appears before you: an equine agility course.

the glastrier raises their front legs and neigh. cold air rushes from its hooves. quickly, the horse dashes into the course, and you must hang on for dear life, even if the icy reins cut into your trembling hands.

TAME THE HORSE

REIN THEM IN!

WITH EVERY POST, make a ROLL. you must hit or surpass a total of 100 to successfully hang on to the glastrier; furthermore, the horse is examining your ability to ride them!

She entered Shoal Cave once more, this time she was surprised to see that the glastier had been waiting for her near the entrance. What surprised her more was when she spotted out something that resembled reins, only that they looked to be covered in ice and would most likely be very cold to touch. There was an amused smile on the young rangers face, she had some riding experience with a mudsdale, so she was sure that she’ll be able to ride this horse as well.

“I would love to go for a little ride with you.” She spoke eagerly, slowly approaching the pokemon. Once close enough Chloe grabbed ahold of the reins, wincing at how cold they were. She figured that it would have to be a short ride. Getting atop of the horse was a little tricky, but after a few minutes or so she was able to do just that. She gave the horse’s icy mane a small pat, “Ready when you are.” The horse huffed out cold air from it’s nostrils, and instantly began to trot at a decent pace. It was a calm ride, and Chloe figured it was because the horse was a gentle soul.

The glastier raced towards a different part of shoal cave which the ranger had never seen before. It looked to be an agility course, and from the way things were going she figured that the glastier wanted to do it with her.

"Oh boy.." She uttered to herself, tightly clinging onto the icy reins even though the icy sensation pierced through her bare-hands. With a loud neigh, the glastier took off. Dashing through the course fiercely. Chloe held on for dear life, last thing she wanted was to fall off.

It was over before she realized. The glasiter huffed out icy breath, glancing back at the ranger with a approving look. Seemed that the pokemon had made up it's mind, they would allow Chloe to capture it.
