The early bird caught the worm, or something like that. Really, Vio did not believe that. But while she liked to sleep in deep into the morning oftentimes, she didn’t do so by nature. Growing up in a ranger family, she had gotten used to waking early. And if she was not particularly tired, she still did that to this day. It was kind of annoying, really. But what could she do? When she was awake, she was awake. No two ways about it.

Might as well spend these being somewhat productive. Now, she was not the most productive member of society at all. Heck, most of her living was made by swindling actually productive people out of their money. But berries, they were different. She knew how to do that. And it was such a good deal, it was basically free. Just as long as one was early enough for the harvest.
Which, apparently, she was. There only was a blonde already at it. Good enough. Putting down her little basket, Vio would briefly tip the straw hat she was wearing and look around for the best berries to snag. For once, she was not wearing a dress. Given that she might get dirty, she had chosen jeans with suspenders over a brown shirt. That gave her a distinctly odd look, given that her fine, white mane kind of contrasted with the more rustic clothes.

Then again, she had no one to impress. Instead, she called Golett from his pokeball, so that he could carry the basket for her. Then, she started her inspection proper, briefly giving the other person a nod, should their eyes meet at some point.

“Hmm, plentiful, but never enough,” she replied. She had seen how quickl even a small community such as the one she had grown up in had harvested those when the season came about. A patch like this would be gone in a week, tops. Probably the same here, too. That was why she had come this early herself. Even so, she had not been the first, either.



Though that was probably fine. This boy looked like he would be satisfied with his fair share, instead of trying to hog more than he needed. Given that she could not carry too much either, Violet did not grab a lot of stuff, either. But she allowed herself to be selective, only picking the highest quality ones she could find. “Won’t be long until this place gets more crowded, I think.”
