Springtime came with many things. An overabundance of Fairies and Dragons was apparently one of them. Naturally, with so many running about freely, missions to patrol and maintain order near settlements were common.

This was in particular was not really a job intended for him, but he had taken it off one of his subordinates hands with a measure of eagerness.

Not only was he tired of his studies and deskwork, but a certain Gardening friend had asked for his help as well. And Doug himself had some plans of his own, so...

Though he didn't particularly care for dragons or fairies, it was time to line his pockets full of them.

For Gwyar's sake.

"No. Dragons, not faulty pokedex entries." The youth harrumphed at the pokemon, pointing his net at it (from a good several meters away), before huffing and turning away, beating a hasty retreat.

A yelp nearly left the youth's throat as he scrambled back, a boulder suddenly slamming down right where he had stood a mere second prior. Any slower and he could have been crushed.

It soon became obvious that the boulder was not just a boulder- it was a Boldore. And it had made the poor choice of trying to make a meal out of the youth.

Readjusting his hat, a harrumph left his throat as he palmed a pokeball, narrowing his eyes at it.

"Brother, that's the last mistake y'all make today." He promised before throwing the pokeball, shouting. "Lepi, DAZZLING GLEAM!"

"... Well then." Doug said as he cupped his chin and grinned, crouched low in a crag within the mountainside while a large shadow soared above.

An Aerodactyl. A rather famous pokemon in Kanto, mostly for the fact that it was not dead, as its expiration date several million years ago would have suggested. It was always a rare, if not unwelcome, sight to see those ancient pokemon roaming about.

Okay, time to shoot it down. He had seen this thing in Zac Ramsay's wishlist.

"Lepi?" He said, his curled Frosmoth making a humming sound in response as she draped herself along the crag.

"Go get that handsome fella down'ere, please. I need to have a chat, with it, if ya get me." He said with a grin.

Lepirax hummed once again in response, before flapping her wings powerfully, soaring into the sky.

The weather got a whole lot colder for a some 30 seconds.
