Route 101.

Hoenn's countryside wasn't something Sigmund had explored in great length. He'd arrived in Slateport after disembarking his ship, and spent most of his time afterwards travelling along routes that lead to other urban hubs. When an old man at a pokemon center told him tales of great champions that had come from Littleroot Town, however, the youth's interest was ignited. So he set off to go visit it without hesitation.

The route he followed now certainly gave him Route 29 vibes— the route just west of New Bark Town in Johto. It was an old dirt road that snaked through verdant green pastures and pine trees like a snake. Old wooden signs and young trainers emboldened to become the best there ever was dotted the landscape. In an effort to avoid most of them (for their sake), Sigmund eventually walked off the dirt path and through a field of tall grass.

He had to stop every so often to make sure he didn't lose track of his Cyndaquil.
