Ah yes—

Today was indeed a continuation of the previous week.

Thankfully it wasn’t the fucking Glalie that wanted to eat him that had appeared—he’d know if it was that one particular Glalie—however this one was its younger form!

Needless to say, he already had this one as well, so—

“Go on, now,” he began, waving a hand at the Snorunt.

“Go back to your family. I don’t want an angry Glalie on my hands.”

He had a feeling that this Snorunt was related to that same Glalie he was thinking of—and he didn’t want to meet the crazy fucker. What was it with that one Glalie that wanted to eat him, anyway?!

The next Pokémon he would encounter—he was… definitely not prepared to meet.

The recently-held Biome Badge contest that took place within Shoal Cave had seen things. So many things.

One of them happened to be a Jynx that had pretty much mentally scarred everyone present with its… antics.

Antics.

That was the best word Lars could use to describe what had happened.

‘Why are you hesitating?’ he heard the familiar voice snark in the corner of his mind.

“Oh, shut up, if you were there when the Contest went down you’d have witnessed what everyone is now mentally scarred over,” Lars muttered under his breath, suspiciously eyeing the Jynx as it sailed across the ice.

‘What are you even talking about?’ the voice continued to sass, and Lars had to take a moment to pinch the bridge of his nose.

“Look, have you ever seen a Jynx’s… feet? Apparently it has toes. Toes it rarely shows…” he continued to mutter as he was still eyeing the Jynx as it continued its singular dance across the ice.

Wait, was it a—

…was it a mating dance?!

‘Surely you’re exaggerating,’ the frosty voice continued.

“Do I sound like I’m lying to you?” Lars went on, taking another deep breath. “I don’t fake shit like this.”

‘Point taken, however you remember your part of our little agreement, right?’

“Yeah, yeah—get every existing non-Legendary Ice-type out there,” he said with an air of resignation.

It was at this point the Jynx saw him, before quickly lunging from its position and very much ready to throw Lars into next week with a Double Slap attack!

“Not today,” he breathed as he quickly took off his gloves as fast as he could and grabbed the Jynx once it came too close, before grappling with it for a few moments—and then seeing that yes, in fact, Jynx did have feet.

Okay, fuck this shit! he thought, before the same snarking laughter rang out in the corner of his head and he proceeded to get into a one-on-one wrestling match with the Jynx as it attempted to use Ice Punch on him—

Only instead of getting hit, Lars had raised his own fist to meet the frost-encrusted attack with his free arm. His other arm was in the middle of a tangle, doing its best to stop the Jynx from attempting another Double Slap attempt.

“Oh, hell no you don’t!” he said as he reversed the situation, pinning the Jynx down with some difficulty, before fishing out an empty Pokéball and eventually bonking it on the back of the Jynx’s head.

He was the boss.

Well, rather, Articuno was the boss, but you got the point.
