Okay, while most Pokémon Alexei was fine with (with several notable exceptions) there was one he wasn’t expecting to encounter that would actually try to—well, you know, eat him!

“What the—?!” he exclaimed as he saw the Grass-type…thing…suddenly come to life the moment he came a little too close for his own liking.

Snapping open and shut like a book, it only took him a few moments to see the sharp teeth under the leaf ‘cover’ that made him turn tail and run deeper into the undergrowth like, holy shit what the fuck was that?!

“Nope!” he said under his breath, keen on putting as much distance between himself and the Victreebel as possible.

Once he was sure he’d placed enough distance between himself and the crazy-looking carnivorous plant, he came to a stop to catch his breath—

However the next Pokémon he encountered made him backtrack a few steps.

“Holy—” he exclaimed, before pulling out a Pokéball at random and tossing it forward. There was a four in six chance he was going to summon the right ‘mon for his needs, and he let out a sigh of relief the moment he saw which one had emerged from the burst of red light.

While he didn’t know what in the name of everything unholy the Rillaboom threw at his Braviary (Drum Beating) he knew that this had to be dealt with as soon as possible!

“Go!” was all he gave to his Braviary, who propelled himself forward with a Tailwind, before closing the distance in the blink of an eye with an Aerial Ace attack!

Caught by surprise, the Grass-type attempted to smack the Braviary out of the air with its Hammer Arm attack, however the Braviary had barrel-rolled out of the way. The blue-plumed avian was trying to see if he could drag this into the sky with one of his attacks, but holy crap it looked heavier than him!

“What are you waiting for? Don’t stop!” Alexei called out, blinking as the Rillaboom took advantage of the lull in combat to swat at it again with a Branch Poke attack.

Wait, what the fuck?

“Keep going!” he continued, before the Braviary let out a confused squawk and continued its charge, this time letting an avalanche of rocks fall from the sky to distract the Grass-type.

Rock Slide had come into play; and while the Rillaboom was trying to swat all the projectiles away, the Braviary flew overhead, before slamming its entire body into the back of the Grass-type with another Aerial Ace, knocking it over.

Seeing the cue, Alexei then threw an empty Pokéball at the Grass-type.
