the weather was as close as it can get to being perfect when taking a dip into the ocean. it would have been grand, had they not been a million miles off the coast and hovering just a bit ways away from the rocket submarine.

"ya really want it to be here?" priam tries to confirm, his tone teasing.

they had something of a bet that she'll be going to wow priam. granted, he gets excited over the most simples of things, but it wasn't something he'd freely admit.

priam rides on his samurott over the waters of hoenn. his feet drags across the water while he paddles softly with his hands. they just need to be a bit away from the sub so they won't disturb anything in it.

The day, like many others, was nice. Her tan, which was finally showing after her various days under the harsh sun. She wore a light blue and white striped bikini with three balls on each of her hips. She had a lot of water pokemon who needed some water time.

Robbin rolled her eyes at Priam who mentioned the spot she had picked, literally in the middle of the ocean. “If we are going to be in the ocean why not here, scared something might grab your feet?” Robbin teased.

The two were sailing away from the sub rocket so they could battle and hang out in the water.

While Priam swam, Robbin was surfing on her empoleon, Penni. She released her drizzile and dewott too, letting them swim alongside. She did what on a skateboard would have been called an ollie. She jumped, her empoleon came from the water with a drilling spin and they landed right side. Robbing teetered but didn’t fall in, she smiled, pleased with herself.

priam claps with the tricks she showed. he'd do it with his samurott, but the pokemon was too rigid to try anything it's uncomfortable with. he recently got a sharpedo to try it too, but he doubts it'll let him do it without a bit of practice first.

"you're really saying that to me? of all people?"

there's a challenge in his tone before he pulls out something from his bag: fish food. he scatters them around as bait for wild pokemon to come. probably not a good idea since priam's current mode of transport is also his main combatant in water, but he's not going to back out.

"let them come! i'll let ya know i faced things scarier than an enraged gyarados!"

“Fine! Let them,” Robbin wasn’t expecting much if anything scary to show up, and even if they did she had a whole slew of pokemon hanging around she could use. She had eyes all over the ocean with her team of six out and spread.

“It’s so nice out today,” Robbin sighed as she started to slow her empoleon down. She saw something jumping above the water, some kind of fish. Getting closer she saw it was a barraskewda and quickly called out dibs.

“Dewott, keep your eyes on the pokemon please and keep it close,” Robbin herself didn’t race after it.

“Already a good start for me!” She muses.

as robbin chases after a fish, priam gets distracted by a butterfree flying across the sea for no reason. he wonders if it has gotten lost and was left astray from its migration path, though the main thing he reminisces about it is the certain sense of longing from his home region, where they were abundant.

"sammy, ice beam," he orders his pokemon softly, pointing at the butterfree.

the samurott briefly turns his head at the direction priam had led his pokemon to. he sees the target and, without much fervor, shoots the ice beam at the butterfree.

it clips the pokemon's wings as it gets encased in a chunk of ice. it panics, and then starts to descend in a spiral towards the water. priam throws a pokeball at it before it can actually hit the water.

without looking if the capture was even a success, he turns to robbin. "having fun chasing your fish?" he asks, accompanied with a snicker.

Robbin watched, pleased, as Priam caught a butterfree no problem. Her eyes drifted to his partner Sammy, the evolved version of her dewott who she was debating ever evolving. She wanted the whole gen line, maybe they were destined to be the middle child. She was pulled from thought by his tease.

“I’d say a random bug lost in the middle of the ocean is easier to catch than an actual fish in water,” Robbin commented back towards Priam. Her dewott was doing their job, waiting for Robbin to start the battle with the barraskweda.

"But don't worry, we will be equal soon, one to one," Robbin said determinedly.

“Razor Shell into Furry cutter, feel free to make sushi,” She giggled, watching the dewott do small hand tricks with their shells before engaging. It was quick as her dewott slice and diced at the poor fish. She threw a ball when she saw it had no fight left.

“See?” Robbin stuck out her tongue as the ball went to the surface.

"yay!"

he is distracted by the sound of splashing from behind him. he sees a random piece of land where a duraludon bursts out of nowhere. on closer inspection though, it seems to have come from an underground cave.

"let's beat that up, sammy!" he tells his samurott as he points at the pokemon.

from a long range, the pokemon fires off ice beam after ice beam at the dragon-type as they approach its little island. when they get near, they find it frozen solid, which explains the lack of retaliation.

"that's a freebie!" he exclaims as he lobs a pokeball at it.
