Bill wasn't in Lilycove for work. No, his work was back in Sootopolis, or out on the seas, and soon in Ever Grande. Today he was just passing through, on a trip of moral obligation.

He stopped by a coffee shop out of ancient force of habit. Jumpluff Java. To Bill's immense pleasure it looked better than he'd left it all those years ago. The paint was thicker and more vibrant, the staff were younger and bouncier, and the windows were highly polished, half open, and looked out over the bay.

But now Bill found himself in a mundane predicament. A man who hasn't had caffeine in a decade standing at the counter of a coffee shop. "Mint smoothie," he said, eyes devouring the young man serving him.

A minute later he was at a table by the wall, admiring the view.

Bill Anderson had no sooner sat down when Celia did enter.

She was here on business of her own, a job opportunity since she had been trying to put together the splintered pieces of her family. Shattered by her own hand, no less. As one would imagine, you couldn't just leave your home country and settle down in a new one with nothing but a dream. The Blackadder fortune had done her well so far but it wouldn't last forever. Plus, it was miserable to sit around with little to do.

The coffee shop was just close enough to be convenient and just clean enough for her to bother entering.

"Black, two pumps of caramel."

She was just as critical of the young man as Bill had been.

As she waited, she reached up to adjust her earring; it had been bothering her all day. A clumsy singer and a small 'oh!' of surprise led the bobble to clink on the ground, rolling quickly under the table that Bill sat at. With a small sigh, she approached.

"Sorry to bother you." She motioned, a bit awkwardly, to her earring by his feet.

"Sorry to bother you."

Bill heard the light chime of dropped jewelry. Bill saw it fall and roll, and he bent down to retrieve it, careful not to dirty his knees on the floor.

"No bother at all," he said, standing up. He turned around to return the precious metal, and saw its owner for the first time. She was taller than he had expected, and she stood out in the crowd of casual locals. There was a sense of sharpness to her. Of beauty and subtle warning, like an uncovered blade with a polished handle.

He looked pointedly at her bare lobe. "May I?"

Celia gets a look at Bill Anderson properly after he stands up.

Her thoughts aren't as poetic as Bill's in the moment. She does, however, appreciate the odd softness in his person that is offset by something almost a little dangerous in his eyes. Or was that wishful thinking? She nods, at first, before clearing her throat.

"Yes. Please."

It only strikes her that the request may be a bit strange after she's already agreed to it.
