The story ends here.

Not what was promised, but what was possible. In the end, that will have to be enough.

Red Route
Your beast was trapped in the very earth itself. Sealed, but ever watching. Waiting for a chance to escape.

Your beast was deconstructed. Torn by light and blood and alchemy and reduced to its components: Unown, Rare Candies, Devolution Stones. You return to the outside world richer.

Your beast was absorbed. Drawn into the books of the archive, and split into a thousand slivers of being. You all return with knowledge of something greater than yourselves. You can each take a book containing a sliver of the beast. The book may communicate to you, in its own way.

Black Route

In the pyramid's peak, time stands still.
Hold your breath.
DOOR

's chomps down on the tentacle, joining his Trevanant in destroying the invader. The wretched limb disintegrates into a mouthful of dark slime, and the change to Aaron is immediate.

Eyes open across his body like stars blinking to life, and he throws himself into the nearest tank, desperate to seal himself away. Something is dreadfully wrong. He can feel it. 


The Door Tentacle has been Defeated. 

CEILING

forgoes his own teeth in favor of his Mightena's, and his dogs howl, filling the echoey lab with their haunting battle music.

The Play Rough tears at the tentacle, but it is hardier and more regenerative than most chew toys, and the attack fails to destroy the psychic intruder.

Kyle's egg shudders in his arms. A chunk of shell snaps and drops away, revealing brilliant green eyes.

calls for help from inside the tank. His Phantump throws another ball of shadows at the limb, obliterating it into mental mist.


The Ceiling Tentacle has been Defeated.

PORTRAIT

extracts new Pokemon, old Pokemon, from the tank. His Strength Sap draws on the Endless, and the dark altar hums off-key. Thick flakes form on the body of the Cursola, and resin beads on the surface of the altar.

The dark scales and sweet-smelling chunks clatter to the floor. Mars and anyone nearby will recognize them as Devolution Stones and Rare Candies.

Dhelmise and Weavile attack the portrait tentacle. Claw, steel and shadow clash, but the limb of Endless lashes out, tangling around Weavile's neck. 

The tentacles heaves at Alice's spine. Her body snaps and twists, and she devolves. 

warps gravity around the tentacles and Pheromosa tears into the phantom limb, but it's too late. 

The strangled body of 's Sneasel drops to the floor.
Alice is dead.

The Portrait Tentacle has been Defeated.


ANDERSONS

As the third tentacle falls, Endless shudders, and words spear through Aaron and 's minds.

̷R̸r̶ ̷a̶r̶ ̶ ̶ ̵a̸ ̵a̵ ̸ ̶r̶ ̵ ̷ ̶a̴ ̷a̴ ̸a̶ ̸ ̴ ̴ ̶ ̶a̴ ̷ ̵c̷c̸ ̶ ̸c̶a̸ ̸ ̸a̵ ̴ ̴s̶ ̴ ̴s̸ ̶ ̷ ̴s̴ ̵s̶ ̸ ̵o̵s̷ ̷o̷o̴o̵!̵

slaps the button to close the door on the tank. He joins , proudly watching the first few moments of the newborn egg.

Shards of shell fall away, revealing more of the gleaming green eyes. The pudgy pink skin. The shock of unmistakable blonde hair that could only belong to an Anderson. 

"He looks just like his brother, #68", Bill says, snapping a photo of the newly hatched human(?) baby. "I'll send that through when we get reception. No time now, we have a few more pressing issues."

He looks at Mars. "The angel is around here, but we need to draw it out. Need to prepare a vessel." Beside them, the altar hums, waiting. "Are you ready?"

has chosen himself as the vessel for the Angel.
To draw it out, everyone must make one or more sacrifices at the Black Altar. Sacrifices must be one or more of the following:

  • Personal
  • Meaningful
  • Virtuous

Explanations and justifications of worth are crucial. 

is welcome to have his Pokemon sacrifice something on his behalf. 
Endless feasts on , eating him from the inside. He can feel everything, as if the world outside is just another limb. A sense that had been numbed.

His vast size. His thousand eyes.

His body distorts.

The hum of the Altar deepens. 

But why? 

WHY?

Why does the altar hum? Why did the Endless form? Why is Bill here?

'Why' is such a useful word. 

A good question. An infinite, recursive word that digs into the core of any subject.

Why? Because something has to.

Why? Because a question demands an answer.

Why? Because nothing can sit, unquestioned, for any length of time. The universe is infinite, and so is the curiosity of those inside its bounds. 

Why? Why? Why? Y?

As if it wasn't short enough, we boiled it down. Streamlined the question to make room for more answer.  

Y? Because time, space, and ink are precious. 

Y? Because even in an infinite, expanding sphere of inky nothingness we still respect succinct speech.

In the midst of chaos, an Unown Y (and aren't all Y's born from the unknown?) is formed. 

is filled with the Spirit of Inquiry. The ink of the expanse fills his mind, stains his skin, and slicks his tongue. 

He may ask Three Questions in his post, and they will be answered.

White Route

The forest presses in with icy, iron thorns and shadowed eyes.
Will you run, or light the final lantern?
SUMMONS

begins, and as his voice carries among the candles, the assembled can feel the presence of the beast outside the circle. His words pull it closer. Circling. Orbiting. A dark planet around the sun of the altar.

adds his voice, and the air is filled with phantom sounds. Footsteps, the dashing of rain against thick grasses, wind at your back, and sunlight so loud you can hear it sizzle.

Pangur lights the final lantern, and the orbiting beast quickens.

sings of joy. Of careless freedom and the love of open spaces. To run, and play. To be free.

The orbit becomes frantic, less like a planet and more like a whirlpool, sucking the beast towards its core.

You can hear the ending now. You can hear the crossroads.

adds her voice, building a celestial harmony. An alloy of verse and light. A shining portal opens above the central lantern.

A vast emptiness forms between those who remain, and the torn shape of the Remnant is born again in the middle of their ceremony.

The perpetual star rises,
And the sky is filled with eyes.




Psychic fangs and gleaming, milky eyes manifest around what remains of White Route. Claws draw back, and mouths open wide.

's quill glows, burning with radiance as the present bends to his will.

The beast hesitates to attack.
Around the edges of the circle, in the shifting dark between the shadows, shapes form. Nightmares, pulled from the darkness in the corners of your minds. From the crevices between your lobes and folds.

Your nightmares arise, as solid as they are at midnight.

Face your nightmares, and learn something about yourself and the beast.

Black Route

In the pyramid's peak, time stands still.
Hold your breath.
INVASION

Endless shakes the room from the outside. Dark windows shudder, and thin tendrils of the cloud press in through tiny gaps.

One eats away at the sealant around the door, wriggling through the hole and reaching for the ankles of anyone too close. It drips acidic black ichor. 

A second tentacle finds the ventilation shaft in the ceiling. It pushes past dusty fan blades and enters the lab through the roof, coiling towards . Eyes open along its length, like suckers on the arm of an octopus.

A portrait is set on the wall nearby the inset ring. It's not an 'employee of the month' style image, but more a shrine to someone seminal to this work. The person in the portrait looks familiar, only older and more grizzled. Greyed, experienced, and wearing a lab coat. 

Phantasmal smoke pours from the portrait's eyes, forming the third and final arm of Endless, which stretches towards . 

At the invasion of the Endless tentacles, lights blink on around the lab. The dormant Pokemon in the growth tanks move, restless, as they come out of their deep slumber.

Players who purchased Gacha Pokemon as part of their Boons can now release those Pokemon from the tanks. They are groggy, and may be malformed in some way, but are able to fight without issue.


Endless will enter the room unless all tentacles are stopped this round!

Clearly state which arm you are attacking in your post (door, shaft, or portrait).

Roll with your post, and a roll of 100+ will defeat a single tentacle.

You gain a +15 bonus for taking an IC action to weaken or block the tentacle, +15 for attacking the tentacle with a super-effective move (each tentacle has a different type), and +15 for solving the puzzle and including the answer in your post.

If you roll under 50 total, the Pokemon you attacked with is taken by Endless. 

If you roll 50-100 total, your Pokemon is hurt, but safe, and the tentacle is weakened. The next attack against them will have +10 (this bonus stacks for each failure)

If you roll over 100, the tentacle is defeated.

You can also choose to sacrifice a Pokemon, letting it go out in a blaze of glory for a guaranteed 101 roll. The Pokemon is not taken by Endless, and the tentacle is defeated.

This guaranteed success is limited to once per player. 

Players can post more than once this round.

Yielding a Mountain of Curious Answers

BLACK ROUTE

The cloud of Endless boils outwards, a dark cloud bulging with blinking eyes. It consumes the bottom floor, flowing over and pulling him inside as and escape upstairs. The pair join and .  The group make for the only exit, and the only way onwards: the Sealed Door.

In his rush to the door, spills a bottle of orange juice, forgotten and overgrown with mold. It splatters the floor in faded yellows and still living greens.

The four of them crowd around the door, entering password after desperate password.

While a good guess for the outdated desktop at most of the churches across Sinnoh, the setup here has little to do with the church it is hiding underneath.

, having clearly spent time around real people, knows that often the dumbest and laziest solution is the correct one. Unfortunately, in this case the security is a little tighter.

It is a valiant attempt, and would have definitely cracked 's email, but this lab is surprisingly unrelated to the Father.

The bubbling Endless crests the stairs, slithering along the tiles and towards the group of hackers. It consumes the spilled juice with a virulent hiss, and a layer of moldering eyes peel open across the surface of the living liquid. 

Suddenly, emerges, coughing, from the cloud. He staggers to the door and slams in a password.

The door opens with a pneumatic hiss of releasing air, and everyone rushes through into a laboratory filled with cylindrical growth tanks.

There are rows of partially formed creature, which sit in suspended animation, their creation paused when the experiment was halted some years ago. Between the tanks are jars of Pokeballs floating in formaldehyde, the results of previous growth experiments.

In the center of the room surrounded by the rows of tanks, is a low circle inset into the tiles. It has grooves where something low and thick-legged might be inset, and a lectern stands to the side. 

The door closes behind them, sealing them into a room of thick, chemical air. The Endless hits the door with an audible weight. It surges, looking for a way through.

Fight. Escape. Or be Consumed.

You see tanks. Tanks and cabinets full of promise.

Behind you the creature bangs on the door, asking to be let in. Just in case, it starts to dissolve the sealant that keeps it out.

White Route

The forest presses in with icy, iron thorns and shadowed eyes.

SEANCE

Oppressive frost presses in from the gaps between the stacks, as if the books themselves are blocks of ice in a vast freezer.

Orange and purple lights cast strange, swimming shadows within the wards, yet no light falls outside the circle. Instead it is pure darkness, filled with the creaking of trees, and the sounds of distant movement. 

"The Altar is lit. The creature cannot pass through the wards. It is sealed outside, but it will come when called." Pangur uncoils from his spot on the floor, revealing the ninth lantern, set within the stone at the center of the living forest.

"But first, we must arm ourselves properly."

Pangur pads over to Kaida, and nudges the Pokeball holding her fainted Houndoom. The ball clicks open, and the Pokemon appears on the ground, where it devolves due to the shock of its contact with the beast. "No rest yet, little one. There is still one more fight." 

Light flows into Houndour, and the Pokemon stands back up, now gleaming with contained Radiance. "Your fangs need not fear the beast any longer."

's Radiant Houndour is fully healed, and is immune to the Beast's devolution effect.
As Pangur approaches, the shard of Absol horn held by glows hot and bright. "Absol are prophets. They have the power to read the future, though lacked the power to change the present. Until now." 

The horn stretches into a Glorious Bone Quill. Silver ink beads on the tip. 

has the power to shape the world with the words they write, creating or changing things around them.
The cat approaches . "This belonged to my previous master," Pangur says, and a weighty, cylindrical object falls into Hideo's arms. It feels metallic, and carries the scent of sunlight and black powder. 

has acquired the Radiant Blunderbuss. It is a +3 Magical Weapon, which rolls advantage against aberrations and undead. On hit, it deals 6d12 Radiant Damage and coats the target in brilliant silvery light, giving attacks against the same target advantage until the user's next turn.

Pangur looks to , who is busy hauling the unconscious body of onto Cobalion's back. "You are leaving," he said. It was not a question. "People pray for Justice just as often as they fear its coming." 

A silver sheen spreads across Cobalion. "Both sides of the scales call for your help, steel-singer. Go with my blessing, and pray that you find the wisdom to tip the world towards light."

Melody climbs onto Cobalion's back, and the legendary leaps through the shimmering flames and out into the darkness, bounding away as a streak of light. 

and have safely left the raid.
Last, Pangur approaches . Under his gaze, the wavering letters on her throat slide back into focus. "You must hold steady now. Your voice is the Key, the Bell, and the Sword."

Luka's Augur Voice has fully manifested. Her control over her singing, and her portals, is increased. She can throw her voice to create portals at locations away from her, and can link portals together to send objects from one location to another.
Pangur looks around at the remaining four. "It is time. Call the creature with your song, and let us begin."

When steeled, sing your Holy Verse to summon the Beast.

"We're rather good at acquiring malicious hardware."

As with any store, all the good stuff was in the back.

Stacks of rare, factory sealed electronics, custom controllers, 4K CRT TVs, limited edition consoles. Even a few undocumented Rotom subtypes.

And that is just a sampling of the items destroyed by the Porygon that were running rampage through the back room. Technicolor shards lined the thin passage between dusty shelves.

The remaining wonder, and the source of the disaster, was a chunky computer.

The screen showed a warped string of letters. As Bill and Gavin approached, the text stopped scrolling, settling on a string of nonsense.

As the jaws of sand close around and , her bond with the demon manifests, igniting her passion into a column of flame that destroys the Palossand. Sand melts to glass, glass burns down to cinders, and the sizzling ashes of the creature fall like gray and gold rain to float upon the surface of the lake.

 stabs himself with all his strength, gouging a great hole in his side. The beast tears. He sees through to the other side, where the Python and the Wrathful are gripped in a near-death embrace.

's brutal scientific method draws bloody results, and she and break free in sharp sprays of ichor. They lash and claw at the tendrils of the beast, forcing it back into the waters.

Across the lake, and meet for the first time in the heat of battle. The Hurricane and the South Wind. They search for the only piece of the ritual still missing: the Altar.

Locke rushes over to Eris. He joins hands with the burning girl, searing his palms with the mark of his Augurship.  

The mark of Red. Of Reunification. 

Rubedo.

He's right. It looks a bit like a Pokeball.

Locke brands the rock with his mark, making a makeshift capture device. He points the sphere of unyielding stone at the submerged beast.

”Enter Beast, Shadow of humanity, Evil among evils. Let all darkness of the world witness thy fate and see their own.”

The rock flashes once, shifting and digging into Locke's palm. 

What will happen?

AQUA FORTIS

Doug draws the others to him, and together they fly through the muck, down into the smothering depths, seeking the beast like iron seeks a lodestone. 

Eris burns, and the world inside the cistern crackles with the fury of her burning dragon. 

The group hits the beast like a meteor, melting and tearing at the beast's tarry form, sending up hot clouds of stinking gas that boil the lake.

The six sweat, and burn, feeling their skin melt away as the beast is roasted.

rips at the monster with teeth of crystal and dark iron, gulping down chunks like a ravenous beast at a carcass.

Down in the depths, the six are consumed by each other. The river of blood flows thick and fast.

's last Voltorb is drawn to the beast in a final, fatal attack. It sinks into the creature before...

KRA-KOOOOOM!

The detonation shreds it, severing its form like a popped balloon. The concussive wave hits the Six like a boulder to the back of the head. The Six can fight no more.

What remains of the beast floats to the surface, wriggling its way to the nearest sandbar.



BEDROCK


The creature stirs, drawing itself back together from its jagged remnants. 

The Rubedo Rock, dropped onto the sand, wakes. The markings burned into its face come alive, glowing with ancient light, as the ball draws what remains of the beast.

The black shreds of the creature are sucked into the stone, but they don't fit. Can't fit. marked the stone as a Pokeball, but a Pokeball is made empty. It holds its bounty in the hollow space inside.

A rock is not empty. It has miniscule faults. Cracks, crevices. Only tiny seams in which a monster can be caught.

But there is more than one rock here. There is a whole room. A whole city. A whole world of stone.

Rubedo marks begin to glow along the walls of the cistern. With tectonic slowness, the pull between the six and the body of the monster shifts.

The magnetic attraction changes polarity, and the torn remnants of the monster are pulled outwards, towards the walls of the battleground.

Streaks of black ichor, white pupil, and red sacrifice shoot towards the walls, slurped greedily onto the cracks in the walls. The monster is drawn into the very bedrock of the world itself. Trapped in a shell from which it will never escape.

The six are pulled towards the stone in turn, but the effect is muted. Dampened, by Locke's uneven sympathy and the sheer number of bindings. They are drawn to rock, but not bound.

Not trapped. Not like the Beast.

Forever after, they will feel this connection, to each other and to the seventh, trapped in the stone beneath them. Their feet will fall heavier than before. They will see flashes of eyes in the cracks in the pavement.

And whenever they touch raw stone, they will feel the squirming of something, deep inside, struggling to be free.

RED ROUTE

The history of Red Route is one of Sacrifice.

The creature, or ones like it, have burst through into our world dozens of times, drawn for an unknown reason to this same spot. Trapped underneath The Church of Arceus. Each time they breach our world, a host of holy heroes go to battle, sure of their own deaths. Not praying for victory, but for the strength to add another cycle to the timer. 
 
You Six saw the tomb, filled with portraits of the deceased. You walked the paths filled with the ashes of a thousand cremated priests and Pokemon. You struggled to stay afloat in a lake of their blood. 

The history of Red Route was one of Sacrifice.

But that ends now.

. You watched your friends, and even your enemies, being broken upon the rocks and you held back the tide of blood.

You saw another way. A way to break the cycle and prevent the return of the beast. You tied your fates to the creature, and instead of hurling the Seven of you into the abyss you found a way back into the light.

The creature is trapped. Forever.

We're not far from the end now. As this is the final puzzle and the final round, there is no restriction on sharing hints, secrets, or working together. 

First is a prompt, scattered in the dark.
Do your best, and unlock this final door.

Second are familiar images. Fifteen, each hiding a piece of the code.

BONDS WITH THE BEAST

The Howl fills the cavern, ricocheting off the walls, as if the Six are surrounded by a pack of umbral wolves.

Threads,  like low-slung ropes of bloody saliva, drip from the hearts of all assembled, connecting them to the Beast.

is bound to the South Wind - He can sense and control the flow of air, and can fly short distances.

is bound to the Wrathful - His rage burns like a magnesium flare, blinding to look at and burning to anything nearby. He will continue to burn underwater.

is bound to the Frightful Python - She has complete muscular control, and can constrict others with crushing force. She can also swallow large objects.

is bound to the Hurricane - His actions are supernaturally fast, and with knife in hand he is a whirlwind of dark steel.

is bound to the Dragon - She can shape fire, changing its direction, color, and intensity.

is bound to the Onrushing - He can pursue any target relentlessly, building up speed and closing in on his mark with great speed. Doug can share this power with someone else while he is making physical contact with them.
saves , laying a blanket of shifting flames that burns away the ink. Were it not for her new powers, Doug would have been scorched by this act of kindness.

The Radiant Klefki emerges, Imprisoning the inky mass around Doug's face, allowing him to extract it from his throat.

has saved from a gruesome fate.
's Eevee copycats the Destiny Bond, and six more strings flow between them, connecting Gavin, Eevee, and Lucario all to and his Drifblim.

(The Hurricane) and (The South Wind) are linked, as are their Pokemon, and their Destinies.
In a maelstrom of dark steel, searing light, and crushing lengths of reptilian muscle, , , and tear through the rising sand constructs.

The islands below them shift and rock as the Giant Palossand they have all been standing on rises from the murk. Its mouth yawns wide, a portal to an early grave. It moves like a sand dune, surging and spreading, as the wave of gray, powdered bone and priestly ashes comes crashing down onto and .

Unless destroyed or avoided, the Giant Palossand will crush and .
As the air grows scorched and turbulent with their new powers, the Beast returns, a vast inky cloud, glistening with the oil-slick rainbow of the lake water. Its ancient eyes shift to its newest targets.

Gunk and ichor from hundreds of years of sacrifice fill the air as the space around and is torn open. Psychic fangs gnash at them and tarry claws grasp at their limbs, pulling and tearing, drawing the pair towards the water.

and are being grabbed and bitten by the beast. They must free themselves or one another before taking action.
BREAK THE BEAST

The bonds with the demons have been forged, and with them, the Six feel the manifold pulse of the creature in the water below.

Their fates, and their bodies, are linked with the creature.
Any damage inflicted on , , , , , and will be inflicted upon the creature.

To break the beast, you must break the demons.

To break the demons, you must break yourselves. Or each other.

This is the only way.

Your strange abilities will only last until the end of this round.

You can post as many times as you need this round. There is no posting order. Roll with each post where you are injured.

The burning page of ancient tome is held aloft by Psychic energy. Hurriedly, it's touched to the wick of the forgotten lanterns, and a fifth patch of light blooms in the forest.

and Meowstic escapes the beast's snare, unscathed thanks to their quick thinking. 

But the beast has many traps, and others are not so swift or lucky.  and are the next to spring a hidden danger. Vicious irons barbs thrust from the cloak of shadow, cruel, jagged bonds that cut like iron brambles.

Cobalion roars, his cold fury coalescing into a shaft of brilliant frost that bursts from his horns and carves away the entangling iron. Like a chain fence before an avalanche, the trap is ripped away, torn and scattered into some distant corner. The wounds of the barbs remain, as does the frost from the frigid act.

As lights the sixth lantern, a deep chill leeches deep into his arms and legs. It feels like goosebumps on his bones, like frost forming in his marrow.

The wounds of , Absol, , and Cobalion, are slick with black ice.

Unless scraped or burned off next round, they will Freeze.
 , teetering precariously amidst the floating candles, lights the seventh lantern, and falls.

The viscous goop covering and Onix wriggles, worming its way across her skin and seeping into her joints. Her lips turn blue, and her teeth start to chatter. Above her, Onix shudders, the stones of its body clattering together in a terrible clangor. 

Unless her blood is warmed next round, will Freeze. Onix is unharmed, though black and sticky.
As the deep chill sets in, 's Shinx slingshots at the creature and the Augur bursts with bartered Radiance, driving the beast back into the darkness between the bookcases.

In a moment of utter desperation, Luka shows Faith.

She offers her Life for the Light that will give 478,072safety478,012 to others. 

Pangur accepts.
 is filled with Radiance! She can call forth bursts of burning light. Doing so will shorten her lifespan with each use.
Luka lights the eighth lantern, at great cost, and the temperature in the Archives drops again. Her breath now come in great clouds of shining fog, freezing on the branches of the trees above her.

Tail waving, Pangur turns to as she returns to him. The cat looks up at her with his deep, astral eyes. They shimmer with reflected Radiance, gleaming letters mirrored in his pupil-less gaze.

461,302 - 461,072

"The binding between our lives is set,"  he says, before turning to the others. 

"The Altar is lit. The creature cannot pass through the wards. It is sealed outside, but it will come when called." Pangur uncoils from his spot on the floor, revealing the ninth lantern, set within the stone at the center of the living forest. “It is time.”


BLACK ROUTE
the
The table ignites, black flames carving the curved symbol into the table. Nigredo. The black mark of alchemy.

Dust of animal, fruit of the burning plant, flowing blood of mineral, a snapshot of the past, crystalized change, still and silent liquid, black rushing iron. The components for an ancient concoction, injected into Mars' mind by his connection to the book.

Sooty acid eats into the table, cutting away the sharp corners. The chunks of granite fall away, crashing to the ground.

Liquid smoke slides down the sides of the rounded Altar in a noxious waterfall, pooling on the floor in acidic clouds.

has crafted the Black Altar. It must be protected, or else the ritual will be impossible.

feeds his mixture to Foxtrot. The sweetness of the Rare Candy makes it go down easy, and the Mightyena suffers no ill effects. 

As they walk off, it stumbles, footing suddenly unsure on the tiles floor. It stumbles again, its six feet scrabbling for balance. Six? No. Eight.

The dog looks down with both of its heads, trying to figure out what's wrong with its feet. Its black and gray fur twists strangely as two sets of muscles battle for control. The heads pull away from each other until, with a yelp of pain from each of them, Foxtrot completes its mitosis.

's Mightyena has split into two. Each dog has the same strength, abilities, moves, and weight as the original.
 Downstairs, acrid smoke mingles from a trio of caustic reactions. 's blue, acid smoke eats away at the fixtures and fitting, causing metal to rust and plastic to shrivel away into nothing. 

's casual mixing of cleaning supplies forms an unexpected byproduct: Chloroform. The vapor billows out from the puddle on the floor, putting her Sableye into a deep, comatose state.

's Sableye is asleep and will not wake up.
's otherworldly blot spreads like mold, creeping through the air in thick blotches until it contacts the Chloroform, and the billowing cloud of 's blue smoke.

The three clouds mix and mingle, forming a toxic vapor, a dark thunderhead that crackles and crawls along the walls and floor. 

, , and have crafted Endless, a deep black fog filled with blinking eyes and carrying the mind of Oscar's Claydol.

If touched by human or Pokemon, they will feel the immense, terrifying presence of Seismo's warped mind, and will begin to fall into a deep sleep.

If a human of Pokemon breathes in Endless, they will hear horrific, alien screams, and garbled language. They will also cough uncontrollably, as the gas burns their lungs.

If a human of Pokemon is Consumed entirely by the cloud of Endless, they will be unable to continue. 
The blinking cloud engulfs the first floor, consuming benches, work equipment, filing cabinets, and the bodies of the forgotten workers. It spreads low at first, filling the first floor at thigh height before rising like heavy eyelids, creeping up the walls and then proceeding up the staircase. 

There is no stopping this fog, and it will continue to expand. 
, , and are in imminent danger from the expanding cloud of Endless. They must escape the first floor, or by Consumed.
On the second story, and witness a flash of light coming from a door at the far end of the floor. 

They find a heavy pane of reinforced frosted glass leading up to the third and final floor. There is no handle, only a thin screen showing a blinking green cursor, and a keyboard recessed into the wall.
