"Greetings everyone! Thanks for coming!" said Bill. He stood at the front of the Church, looking spotless despite the ruined, dusty surroundings. "We've got a lot of work to do, so lets get right into it. Let me know if you need anything, and watch out for splinters!"

There are many who answered the call for help. JOHN DOUGLAS SULLIVAN , , , , , , , , ROWAN WRYNN , , , , , . 

As the group work on removing rubble, clearing the foundation, and all manner of other small tasks, others arrive. , , , , OSCAR CLAYTON , , , , @hades .

Perhaps they were called by their friends, or were just late by happenstance.

Perhaps they were summoned by something Greater.
Or something Darker. 


This round, please clean up the Church ruins.

Watch the rubble, with as many eyes as you have to spare, as there are things to find among the broken bones of faith.

"I'm only here to assuage my guilt in the unfortunate accident that destroyed this church," Chryssa Glasgow said loudly, sailing through the burned ruins of the front door with all the grace and poise of a paper airplane. "If that word means what I think it means, of course."

While she had planned a covert gathering of Plate-holders and insidious trap for the ever-watching Arceus, she actually hadn't been responsible for the explosion which had leveled it to the ground. She'd spent weeks in the hospital afterwards recovering from a broken neck. If it wasn't for a certain coming back for her, she might not have made it out of the burning church at all. That fact had been enough to convince most people that she'd known nothing about the attack or the scepter that had been stolen.

The disappearance of its caretakers, however—namely the Reverend Sister—well, that Chryssa knew a little more about.

Chryssa deliberately pretended not to see the hidden stairwell buried beneath the ash and stood in the ruined "doorway" instead, annoyingly blocking anyone trying to enter the church through conventional means. It made no actual difference—there was so little left of the once-hallowed walls that one could step over them like speed bumps. 

"There should be some residual power here," the girl said, nodding to her Meowstic. Senga had already scooped up a shard of stained glass and was inspecting it in the sunlight. Chryssa used the tip of her cane to nudge a piece of burned rafter. "If it is Arceus's will that this place gets cleaned up, he might as well help the process along."



The sound of her name being called by one of her favorite people, (followed by the magic words piss rock) eventually lured Chryssa from her post at the doorway. "Indubitably," she said, "Where is it?"

Nearby, Meowstic's ears unfolded as she channeled power into herself from their surroundings. Regardless of whether it was actually holy power or not, the feline focused it into the shard, forming a beam of hot white light that came together like sunlight through a magnifying glass.

"An ancient relic, perhaps," Chryssa said, examining Chu-e's yellow rock. Perhaps daringly, considering its color (or remembering her cave-crawl with ) she lifted it to her nose and smelled it. 

The girl's curious expression didn't change. "I'm afraid it's merely a cornerstone of the church," she said after a moment, returning it. Her eyes gleamed. "It's all built on piss and old rocks, you know."

So what stirred beneath? The lost? The ancient? Or the dead?

Behind her, Senga moved the laser methodically over the rubble, slicing through collapsed stone foundation with a jewelcutter's precision.

Though not a man of particular faith, Gavin answers the call as a personal favour to . Gavin arrives disguised, nowhere near confident enough to step into the heart of the League otherwise. His signature formal attire has been ditched for a casual affair that makes him look more Ranger than underboss, complete with dust-stained boots that protect from the sharp shards of ruin. Gloves that could easily be mistaken for shields against dust and debris serve a dual purpose in concealing the scar across his palm, and he'd asked for help with concealing his other visible scars and tattoos.

Perhaps that's why knew about what was going on, perhaps not.

Either way, Gavin greets him with a nod, methodically clearing the rubble around a staircase that leads into the bowels of the earth.

"Reckon this goes somewhere fun?"

Gavin's Pokemon are nearby, his Claydol glittering with the psychic energy of imprison as a Lucario assists with the clearing. The justified canine parses the auras of those around them, alert for signs of malintent.

Last time Chu-e had been here, this place had been standing and someone was getting fuckin' robbed. In a house of God and everything.

Now, Chu-e was sleepy and kind of grumpy, mostly having come because he was a nosy bastard, and also partly because it was always worth it to get a glimpse of some hot DILF ass (thanks !). The fact that he happened to know people out here? Pure circumstance.

"Why does it always seem like there's only, like fifty people who live in this damned region." Was mostly muttered to himself. Chu-e had on a wide brimmed hat, much like wore sometimes, except his had a pink ribbon and little cat ears on top. He also had a face mask on, a cloth one, with paw-print print. For all the dust. Clothes? Whatever, imagine something sexy if you must, and probably also cat themed, but that's up for YOU to decide, dear readers.

Anyway, Chu-e tended to be a lazy fuck with these things, because he was a sickly and weak twink. So we can assume that he was going to bully or whoever else he knew into doing most of the heavy lifting.

"It's a church, can't be too fun." His gardening gloves were on and wouldn't you know it, there were weeds. Even in burned out ruins, life would find a way to persevere. Since it had been left alone for so long, hardy weeds had sprouted in a few cracks where sunlight would occasionally reach. But he eyed the strange entrance that had been found, curious.

Olive, his Lilligant, made sure to Giga Drain the life out of them so Chu-e could more easily rip their roots from the ground. He would them and the bits of broken stone clinging to their roots to the pile that Gavin was making.

Something shiny caught his eye, an old and shiny stone, peeking from between the cracks.

"What you think this is?" Was asked to his friend as he was already digging it out. Shining and bright, a soft yellow like topaz but not as clear. He held it up to the light before shrugging and pocketing it. His now.

"Yo, Chryssa!" He called as he stood back up, stretching. "I found a weird piss-rock! Wanna see?"

The nature of the metaphysical being is hard for her to understand nor Kano has the desire to dig deeper into the matter. The presence of the doctor to be here is not to find the truth behind the metaphysics being but instead, it is for her personal interest - trying to dig out or find any clue for the origin of pokemon. Kano is hopeful that the place where people worship the so-called god of Pokemon, Arceus, would have some hint regarding that. She wasn't alone in this place but something within her tells her that she might be the only one here with this intention. Kano, like always wears her pristine white lab coat that inevitably will get dirtied by dust in the near future, is looking around trying to figure out the layout of the building. "The stench is foul" Kano murmur, she is not a stranger to the stench of death but what it foul will stay foul for the rest of her life. Kano kicks a half-crushed skull from one of the faith, turning into dust - Whatever happened here, well Kano can only say condolence. [break][break]

Not too far from her, a man that doesn't act like his age shout calling for someone else claiming to find a weird rock that resembles a piss. Kano takes a glance but she is unable to see it as whatever it is, he must have put it somewhere on him. Kano shakes her head and starts to lit up the rubble away until... "Ouch!" Kano winced, a piece of glass shard that is hidden within the rubbles cut her hand when she was trying to lift up another rock. Fortunately, it was shallow so Kano can just ignore it. Once she clears her space to some extent - She found a rather old book, she skims through the book for a moment and it seems that it holds the various legend of Arceus although some parts of the book are torn and missing. Kano decides to keep it for herself for now and look it deeper. Kano walks deeper and found a huge pillar that blocks a place, the pillar is too big for it to move by hand... "So, I guess it is time for Dairoku to show their worth" Kano calls for one of her Voltorbs that she brings with her. Dairoku looks nervous but Kano pays no mind and points at the pillar while she is creating a safe distance between them. [break][break]

"Explosion" Kano declares as Dairoku unleashed a tremendous explosion that shakes the building and destroys the pillar. There is no sign of remorse on the face of Kano after staring at the fainted figure of Dairoku. "You have shown your worth," Kano calls back Dairoku. The place that is blocked by the pillar is now opened and it seems that it leads to a hidden entrance, 'Intriguing' Kano muses.[break][break]

Hideo had some experience cleaning up holy sites, albeit not something as large-scale as cleaning up one that'd been blown up. He wasn't quite the religious sort, but he knew a lot of people relied on these kinds of places for emotional support, and he did recall visiting this place once in a school trip and loving the acoustics, so as the resident emotional support blind kid, Hideo'd lend a hand and fix things up.

Well, more like he'd lend his Pokemon's hands. A quick telepathic message from his Oranguru told him just how much rubble there was. Too much and too big for a kid to lift. So they'd be the ones doing the heavy lifting. "Alright, guys!" Hideo said, "Let's get to work!"

His Krookodile was the only one actually working on removing rubble. His Meowstic had very quickly gotten distracted by something shiny in the rubble, using his skills as an Infiltrator to move through the debris to reach it - he just had to Sucker Punch a Pokemon that tried to get in his way. His Oranguru "supervised" the other two, mostly just hanging around Hideo while everyone else did physical work.

"It's nice to hear a lot of familiar voices here," Hideo said, a smile on his face. He came here knowing , and would be helping as well, and he'd asked around the other Follies to see if they were willing to join, but he caught sound of a couple other familiar voices; 's charisma was impossible to miss, and he could hear Mr. Ki ( ) talking about some piss-colored rock he found. "Nothing like fixing up a church to bring people together!"

His attention was stolen by someone announcing they found something in the shadows of the ruins.  "A mysterious staircase?" Hideo asked, hearing mention of one from (what else would lead you somewhere fun?). "In a ruined church? Heck yeah I wanna check it out!" Churches always had crazy stuff in their basements...or so he heard.

He didn't notice his Meowstic return, handing the ring it'd found to his Oranguru. Nor did he realize that when his Oranguru gently pushed him to guide him towards the staircase, she slipped the ring into his backpack.

Aaron had no idea what possessed him into coming in and help clean a church. His family, and him, were never religious. And yet, here he was, wearing black and red gloves, a black tank top, blue jeans, and blue steel toed boots. On his belt was his pokeballs, but he only brought three with him today. His Shuppet and Magnemite was out, and already pushing things along. His happy "little" tree that was his Trevenant was picking up rubble and moving it away, while the two little ones pushed around a metal broom and dust pan. What he didn't expect to see was Hideo, Andy, and Doug. Especially Andy. This place...just didn't seem like somewhere he would be. But then again, since Hideo was around, it made some sense for the hot-tempered boy to be here.

He went up to Hideo and was about to speak when he said something about a staircase. "I'm coming with you." The blond announced to . Not that the guy needed help or anything. Before he could join the blind boy, his Shuppet came by with a rather beautiful necklace. He looked at his Trevenant, who was retratcing a Horn Leech, evidently having used it to get it from somewhere above and giving it to Shuppet. Looking around, and making sure no one was paying attention, he just went ahead and pocketed it. His mom would adore the present. All three of his Pokemon decided to join him...although, he might have to return Trevenant into his pokeball since he was rather tall.

    “Shit!” Rowan exclaimed as he withdrew his hand from the rubble he’d been moving, a clean slice across his thumb from a hidden shard of glass. “Damn it. Spike, can you clean this for me?” The Pyukumuku scuttled forward and inspected the wound before using Purify to clean out the wound, preventing any infection. “Thanks, mate.” A smile was given to the Pokémon before offering them a friendly pat with his non-bloodied hand.

    “Hey, Adrian? You don’t happen to have any bandaids, do you?” Rowan asked over his shoulder, hoping his boyfriend had been more proactive than himself. A number of Rockets were present at this event, almost overwhelming the League civilians. Not a surprise considering they’d been helping out , but he certainly wasn’t expecting and to show up as well.

    Religion wasn’t something Rowan held in much regard, as the people of Galar weren’t nearly as superstitious as those in Hoenn or other regions, but also because he believed that destiny was his own to claim. The idea of some creator or overlord to guide his path was distasteful, considering how horrible his life had begun and the sacrifices he’d had to make to crawl out. If there was a supreme being, they were a real asshole.

    Yet, a path to the unknown was revealed to Rowan from some sort of divine intervention. Drops of blood he'd shed didn't remain still on the ground, instead they began pooling towards a single location, a depression in the ground that lead into the hidden staircase the others had found.

Clean up duty was not something the Galarian blue blood would typically volunteer for, especially since in this instance he wasn't the one that had made the mess. With all that had transpired recently, the church that had been annihilated seemed like it might be worth a visit. Plenty of mourners visited the graves of those long passed for answers.

Perhaps he too would find some at this one.

The results of the explosion were much more complete in their destruction than the simple shrine fire he had dealt with alongside some time ago. There were plenty of familiar faces, some of whom had been present at this very spot when the church was still standing. Why did they come? Did they too have peculiar visits and strange visions?

Nothing in this region happened by accident... and that was really starting to annoy him.

Poltergeist shuffled rubble around him and his trio of gengars, the white one being his trademark. One sucker punched a section of still connected bricks into powder as the trainer observed. Hobbled as he was, there wasn't going to be much physical labor offered on his part. Epitaph's chewing tore his focus way from the events unfolding.

About twenty-to-forty dollars worth of bills, varying degrees of burned, and a tarnished ring with an intricate filigree. I'll be keeping that... He'd stuff it away in his pocket, hoping nobody would identify him for the klepto that he was.[break][break]

The ring, anyways. Bill would be receiving the smoldered remains of cash as soon as it was convenient. Religion was more of a concept than a certainty. A mere theme discussed in thousands of classics spanning the last hundred decades. But that's it. The documented legendries exist-- Atticus could never dispute that-- but how could one call such entities divine creatures when they're known to bond with such immoral flesh and bones? To reside within them, even. The sheer imperfection of the avatar phenomenon proved their lack divinity. That they were as riddled with errors as any human. The only difference lies with their abilities.

If this community service event involved any other church, well, Atticus would've flatly discarded the thought of coming without a second thought. But this specific location was different. There was history behind it's dilapidated walls and cracked windows. History that could lead to discovery-- excitement. Just seeing the wave of interesting faces proved his theory.

And one of these specifically interesting face caught his eye.

"It's always a pleasure to witness your radiance," He cooed out to . Kneeling down to the patch of weeds next to her, the doctor plucked out a handful of throne riddled flowers from the ground, allowing it's defenses to pierce through his fragile skin. Crimson blood quickly dotted his fingers. Rising back up to his feet, Atticus' eyes lifted back towards hers. "Need any assistance? Would be a shame if you hurt yourself."

Not too far from where he stood, his party of Pokémon were diligently offering their aid. Pain, with his strong arms, was tasked with helping to lift the heavy debris from the ground. Of course, he return the occasional hidden gem to his trainer as per orders, but that was besides the point. Panic was situated not too far from Pain. As Healer, her duties involved helping heal the various injuries several pokemon would incur during their labor. Some would be burns, others would be inflictions of poison-- neither were difficult to cure with her ability. The worse was when Pain crushed his front leg from dropping a large piece of fallen rubble, but even that was cured with a simple Heal Pulse.

Cardamom sighed a little as he took in the sight of all the devastation. There was definitely going to be a lot of cleaning to do, but at least there were lots of friends here to help with that too. Edward drifted behind, feet barely touching the ground as he strolled, while the mysterious Minior that had ended up following them after the Star Soiree floated high above. Nash leapt lightly from bit of rubble to bit of rubble, looking for all the world like he was born for such a dance.[break][break]
"Thanks for calling me here," he added to as he passed by the boy, giving a friendly wave to the working Pokemon. "The more hands here, the better, right?" He stretched a little, looking around at all the rubble. "My family never visited church much...but this place was really beautiful before, after all. Let's make it so again, alright? Even if Arceus isn't looking, I'm sure there are other gods who are."[break][break]
He waved at Hum, and after a bit of drifting the star-shaped Pokemon floated down. Cardamom gestured at some of the rubble. "Can you move that away?" he asked. The Minior bobbed in the air for a moment, before its eyes started glowing brightly, an Ancient Power lifting a large pile of rubble away and sending it floating off to the side. As more of the stony rubble floated to the side, Cardamom noticed what seemed to be an opening of some sort. He moved forwards, blinking at the hole in the ground that seemed to lead into the depths of the underworld.[break][break]

Melody had met a rather interesting character during the HST tournament, a anderson, 's father. He was very gentlemanly and melody could appreciate his love for beautiful things as she recalled the battle between her bruxish and his pokemon. She waved eagerly to him once she arrived to the church. It was a sad sight to see, all the beautiful art work and treasures this church probably had to offer for people to see before that man destroyed it all. She was glad she at least had her memories of when she last came to visit.[break][break]

Was it the same man ( ) who attacked her the last time she was at a church for arceus? She had no way of really knowing, maybe it was a cult who opposed the deity? She wasn't here to theorize on why and how it happened, or to even reminiscence for that matter, she was here for a more important job, to try and rebuild what once was lost. "Hey bill! I really like that you set this all up, thanks for it. I need something to get my mind off of what's happen recently. Plus I actually really like how people come together when it comes to Arceus. Religion when used correctly is a good force in the world.." she continued as cobalion reared it's head from the treeline, he had been watching silently from the sides to just make sure Melody was ok however his eyes veered over to a mischievious little pokemon. [break][break]

Melody's Hatterene stood behind her and began to use future sight as she saw how many people were around and wanted to be ahead of the game in case something happen. She flashed her eyes over to cobalion and used it's psychic powers to communicate with it. Cobalion dashed forward, revealing himself from being hidden in shadows, blocking the sucker punch from meowstic. His justified ability activates and he looks over to the Meowstic who seems to make off with the shiny object. He let the creature escape as it seemed it had no intent to actually hurt anyone with the move or cause any serious harm. [break][break]

She pinched the bridge of her nose as she watched what had happen but didn't see the ring meowstic ran off with. She approached the pokemon's trainer "Hey, sorry about that if this goober scared your meowstic, he seems to have a penchant for doing his own thing. It's nice to meet you, I'm Melody." she told as she extended a hand to him, not realizing he was blind. [break][break]

She turned back over to her pokemon, "Hey cobalion, since you just got a small lil boost in power, do you mind helping me push some rubble out of the way?" she asked him as she turned to some nearby rubble piled up pretty high.

Something slides into place, shifting to reveal a treasure buried beneath the rubble. It isn't shiny or new, but ancient, and eager for fresh eyes. 

What began with Creation now bleeds into the present, like the last strands of a setting sun.

A secret lies waiting to be found. Three this time.

First is a Prompt. Hidden in shadow, add it to your post for a little help. You'll need it.

Second is a Pass Code. Unlike Creation, this word is whole. It too, is hidden in shadow. Wrapped and backed by darkness. Drag it into the light, and whisper to me what you find. 

Third is a Trio. You will recognize them for what they are. There is no mistaking these scattered forms for anything else. 
They are hidden best of all.

It was such a shame.[break][break]Luka would have liked to see the church before it was destroyed. She was certain it was quite lovely. But even the rubble was beautiful; remnants of stained glass sparkled, jewel-like in the sun that streamed through the crumbling walls. A marble visage of Arceus lay at her feet, split almost perfectly down the middle. The two halves stared up at her from whatever carved portions of their face remained- though the rest of the features had crumbled away, the eyes, somehow, remained intact.[break][break]
For some reason, it made the skin at the back of her neck crawl. Luka tore her eyes away from the ruin and turned back to her work, pushing aside a few pieces of rubble that impeded foot traffic. Beside her, her Shinx did his best to help. Undeterred by the daunting task in front of them, his Guts led him to tackle a broken pew that was far too big for him to move. But the wood gave away easily with a Crunch of his jaws, reducing it to splinters that could be easily cleared away.[break][break]
Her ears pricked while she worked, catching word of a hidden staircase among the wreckage. She couldn't help but peek over to see it for herself, but made no attempts to investigate further. It was none of her business- she had a different task to attend to, after all.[break][break]
Luka wasn't here out of sentiment or any particularly strong religious drive, but out of sheer goodwill. The chance to volunteer wasn't one she'd pass up, especially for a task as innocuous as this. And it was incredibly heartening to see so many others with the same idea. There were few faces she recognized, but one stood out in particular: in his adorable hat, her partner in impeccable taste. Luka dusted her hands off on her legs and picked her way through the rubble towards him, hand already half raised in greeting.[break][break]
"I found a weird piss-rock! Wanna see?"[break][break]Luka turned around and walked in the opposite direction.[break][break]She ended up hovering near instead, with Lemon trotting at her side. "Monsieur Del Mar! I'm glad to see you," she greeted cheerfully. "Feels good to be doing some good, right?" She hummed and crouched down to pick up a few splintered pieces of wood, only to hiss in shock a moment later. A small splinter had wedged under her skin- enough to annoy, but not particularly painful. She quickly pulled it out and sucked away the bead of blood that had gathered on her fingertip.[break][break]"By the way..." her voice lowered to a conspiratorial hush. "Do you know what happened here? I thought it rather rude to ask."[break][break]
