In the dark lighting, it may be difficult to see, but Aaron did blush a little at the defensive snip, despite his stoic look. Maybe he was being a little pushy. And took a half step back. But still kept his phone up. Zach didn't give a direct answer, instead just let his actions speak for him via using his poketek to transfer the requested information. With a nod, Aaron tried to leave, only to be called out. Turning to face to the blue haired boy again, the guy had a hand out. Aaron stepped forward and took it without hesitation. "More than a good match. It was a great one. I...haven't been that excited in a while. It definitely could have gone much more poorly for me. I'm looking forward to see how much stronger you'll get in our next match." With a firm, respectful handshake, the boys left to go their separate ways.

Zach came in on a huge Sigilyph. "I'm good. Yourself?" In addition, there was Dizzy the Delphox, Aaron nodding in awcknowledgement, and the blonde doing the same to the Hoothoot. Two new pokemon that Ace had seen Zach used. Guy seemed to favor psychic type Pokemon. Hoothoot may not be a psychic type, but it did learn a lot of psychic type moves. Plus Foresight. Maybe not a battler, though he could always be wrong, but still very useful. Zach answered his call to arms. Although...hanging up a single hand as if to say stop, he answered the jest. "No thank you. Once was enough for me. I think it safer to just float down." Aaron revealed his Drifblim again, the same one was last time. The big balloon blocked the waterfall for everyone before joining its master. Then into the portal they went.

The mist was gone, making it much easier to see the platforms and the translucent bridges that connected most of them. In the distance, he did see the wooden one that they had crossed last time. There was a platform somewhat close by that he wanted to float to first. Pointing at it, he hoped Zach saw where he was pointing at. If nothing else, where he was floating at. The platform was semi-out of the way, with only a single bridge off it. Though there was another one close enough for even the boys to potentially jump to if necessary. It also had a fresh spring, grasses, lillies, and a couple of small bushes in the center. And something feeding a top part for a small waterfall. Setting down, he felt that they were being watched. But nothing harmful or ominious. Yet. Aaron left some minor supplies, namely a small tent and gathered enough loose rock for a campfire later. He also released Dragapult. "Drifblim, you stay here and defend this area. Try to convince anything that comes near to leave first, then strike if they refuse." With a nod, the balloon simply started to circle the place.

It was two platforms before they got to the one with the wooden bridge. Ace thought it was a bit quiet between them though. "Where you from? You don't sound like you're a local. I originated from Johto, Olivine City..." Might as well get to know the guy a little bit. Especially since he volunteered to join him in this little expedition.

From the looks of things, Zach had kept his word about keeping the portal a secret. But maybe after this, they should report it and lie if asked if they explored it. He was a bit better prepared for a fight this time. Dragapult had proved his worth time and again. Gengar had been quite useful as well with Hypnosis. Chandelure for utility and burning. Aegislash for a combination of overwhelming power and defense. And then his ace in Trevenant. And that's all he needed to say. For now, he just needed to wait for the blue haired boy to come in. Packed in his backpack was some basic supplies, including food in a couple of bento boxes. Who knows if they'll get hungry. Or end up spending the night. The blonde waited patiently for Zach to show up.

When he did, Aaron nodded at the guy. "Ready to dive in?"

Zach had the same idea. Even the boy's Xatu looked worried. Well, when that Pokemon had a problem, things were definitely about to go down that no one probably wanted to be a part of. Zach returned it, and brought back his Kadabra. Who was...treating this far too lightly for his liking. Aaron watched half in horror and half in amusement as Zach berated his psychic Pokemon. Even Dizzy barked angrily at him. The oddly colored Annihilape picked up Ace and walked towards them just as another roar cried out, and they could hear stomping.

Getting close to the crew, with his ape even putting a hand on Zach's shoulder, just to be sure that they were teleported, off they went. Back to the original platform that they landed on when they floated down. That...was not pleasant. Aaron jumped down and barfed off the side of the platform while his Annihilape went down on one knee. But they were safe. With a bit of drool on the side of his mouth, Aaron couldn't help but comment. "Remind me that using your Kadabra to teleport is a last resort only...that was awful." He gave the psychic type a withering glare before returning his ape back into his pokeball. Releasing his Driftblim, Ace did invite Zach to go back up to the portal that they could see above them. Upon doing so, Ace expressed interest in leaving this portal a secret, and to come back in two days. And much more ready for a fight. With that, their second journey together was set. Now it was just going to get some rest and maybe contemplate a team to come in with.

Dizzy was not happy based on the barks they were giving. Thankfully, Dizzy wasn't terribly much taller than Annihilape, and the said ghosty was wide too, so hiding behind him wasn't an issue. The bulky fighter side stepped to get out of the Delphox's way for Mystical Fire. The attack took down three of them, but the other three moved with raised swords. The Shiny Annhilape again took the hits, using Bulk Up once again. But then started to get very angry. And thus started using Rage Fist at the three, breaking their weapons and then pummelling them. It was quick and decisive. But the burned souls extinguished themselves. Even the newly pummeled ones got up, and all six booked it back the way they came.

Well...that was a bit anti-climactic. Until they heard a very loud roar and a gust of wind hitting the four of them. Blinking twice, Aaron turned to Zach. "I think it's time to go. The first battle was difficult enough, I don't think we should test fate further. Ready to run?" Or teleport...whatever works. As battle hungry as he was, even Aaron didn't want a second tough fight like against the Victini. Battles weren't just tough on the Pokemon, but also on the trainers too. Sometimes, you just have to know when to stop and come again another day.

The attack struck true. But the Mime Jr. toughed it out so his trainer wouldn't be sad. Too bad he'll be sad anyways. The fairy and psychic type disappeared into the void again. When it reappeared, the little guy was in perfect striking range. "Finish this. Anchor Shot." The hook part of the ghosty anchor fired after a small adjustment for aiming. It was still perhaps a bit close for comfort. The anchor slammed into the little guy with a single shot. The little guy tried to get up, but then went back down. The announcement was made and cheers erupted. Even the nay-sayers had been impressed. Aaron returned his Dhelmise and bowed respectfully before returning to the back.

There, Aaron waited until Zach showed up. The five foot four blonde walked right up to him with his phone out, and almost shoved it into the guy's face. "Can we trade contact information? It would make setting up a rematch much easier." The other trainers in the room collectively gasped. Some even commented what was the point since the kid won. Others caught on that it was one hell of an awknowledgement if they ever seen one. Not that Aaron paid much attention to them. The guy was good. And could be quite an interesting challenge. The guy could even become a rival to him.

The Delphox barked and sprinted through the trees. The blonde merely nodded at the quip. He did, and he got what he asked for. Anything was worth checking out at this point. Ace and Zach followed the fire pokemon through the trees to find...a parade of souls. Soft drumming sounds from the drums, people and not so distinguished shapes. All soldiers. They may not have had any feet, but the rythmic movement was still obvious. Aaron wanted to stay at the sidelines. But the blasted Delphox didn't stay with them for long.

Zach warned the Delphox, but the Pokemon still went on ahead and waved his stick around, creating a rainbow of flames. Ace took out a Pokeball, just in case. The Parade had stopped to witness the intruders. When Dizzy's show ended...they took up battle stances! Ace threw out the Pokeball, revealing a shiny Annhilape. The specters fired off blue energy balls at the Dizzy, and Annhilape took them all via diving in the way. "Bulk Up." The cloud from the explosion revealed a barely scratched ghost glowing orangey brown, bulking up his defense and offense. Unknown by the two boys, they were being watched...

With his main querry captured, there was one more that he wanted to get. It would be a repeat, but Lucario were generally hard hitting on both the physical and special side. Granted, it was Riolu for now...but time and training will get it to evolve. The hunt began again. Well, more like aimless wondering and hoping to get lucky. And lucky he did get. Ace's Dusknoir...not so much. For he got a Metal Claw to the face. The ghost countered with a Fire Punch, only for the little Riolu to swiftly put up a Quick Guard and deflect the punch, closing the distance again, and using Cross Chop. Okay, not too bright, but, Aaron can work with that. The surprise about the failed attack allowed Dusknoir to hit him with an Ice Punch, freezing him in place and encased in ice. Aaron took out a Safari Ball and threw it. A physical Lucario would be quite nice indeed...

Aaron moved on. Only to have his Dusknoir use Thunder Punch on something that tried to Headbutt him. Looking towards where the Pokemon landed, he didn't see it. It moved back into the brush. "Shadow Punch. Flush it out." Using both of his fists, Dusknoir fired off dozens of shadowy punches around in the bushes. He had to use them to punch away an Ancient Power, but otherwise, didn't work at first. Ace was patient however. It was sticking around. Soon, the little guy came charging at him. Only to meet three Shadow Punches and a Thunder Punch. A Shieldon! That was what he was looking for earlier! Taking out his third Safari Ball, he threw it at it, hoping to add it to his team.

Dhelmise missed due to the little fella copying his own move. This cycle could continue forever if niether one did something else. Mime Jr. reappeared above them. And used Metronome. Then he promptlly hugged Dhelmise. Blinking a couple times, Aaron couldn't help but comment. "And that is why you shouldn't rely on gambles too much. Gyro Ball." Boosted attack power, overall slower than the little fella, and Dhelmise's own Steelworker ability...one shot would be all it needed. And with him being right there...the Dhelmise spun into a glowing white ball and surged forward and hopped, hoping to use both the attack and the ground to slam the little guy into the dirt.

Aaron was no stranger to cuteness. His older brother doted on him a lot. From dressing him into cute clothes or even himself. But in the middle of a battle, there wasn't much room for it. Even Keenan knew better. If the older blonde was here, he'd likely be going gaga over it and chastising Ace for continuing to attack. But thankfully, Kee wasn't here. And he was fine with that.

As soon as Mimikyu went inside his Safari Ball, the group of Pokemon playing ran off in different directions, now aware of the potential danger. That, or his Dusknoir scared them off. Of course, he didn't see which of the rustling bushes that his targets went to. The blonde randomly picked one, not wanting to be left in the dust. Sadly...that might have just happened. Frantically searching, he didn't have any luck. He did scare the crap out of a Seedot though. Thing just shook like a leaf. After a few headpats, and leaving a berry for it, Ace moved on. He guessed wrong, and now he had to really do some hunting to find his main two targets. Or something else that caught his interest. Aaron was now annoyed with the situation...but life goes on, and he couldn't just mope about at the lost opportunity.

The first thing that caught Aaron's interest was the bridges. They weren't the normal ones that he'd seen before. Before they were transluscent and difficult to see in the bright area. Just what section did they end up in? The mist wasn't helping either, and they easily got lost. Not that you could tell from Aaron's expression and take the lead mentality. As soon as they crossed that bridge, Aaron also heard it. Drums. And...a cool beat at that. But Aaron couldn't pinpoint it. Looking at his Jelliscent, the blue chip mascot shook his head, indicating that he too couldn't pinpoint the location. "I can't pinpoint it. Neither can Jelliscent. I thought something was odd seeing as that bridge wasn't the normal ones around here..."

Taking a few steps forward, he saw the edge of the platform. And the type of bridge he was used to seeing. Jelliscent didn't catch it at first either, but now that he knew it was there, marked the edges with Ice Beam. The drumming could still be heard. Looking at the Delphox, he wondered if he could pinpoint the origin of the noise. "Let's continue. Unless Dizzy can pinpoint a direction for us." Advanced hearing can both be a blessing and a curse. The blonde didn't want to assume anything about the fox. Maybe the echo made trying to pinpoint the direction ten times harder...who knew. So he let Zach and Dizzy make that decision.

Aaron eventually ran into a Pokemon playground of some kind. While there was some nocturnal Pokemon playing, there was only one that caught his interest. Well, two, but the second one was a repeat. His eyes fell on the Mimikyu just on the outskirts. No one wanting to play with it. It looked...lonely. Walking around so he wouldn't scare the others away, he found a berry and offered it to the little guy when he sat down. A black tendril sneaked out of the disquise and snatched it. As it munched underneath the poorly made disguise, Aaron offered to play a game. After a few rounds of catch, the little guy hopped up on Ace's shoulder and started to rub his face with its own. "If you wanna come with me, we can play some more." The blonde offered up the Safari Ball. With some thumbs up encouragement from the Dusknoir, the Mimikyu booped the Safari ball and in it went. Ace had Mimikyu on his list for a while now, so he was glad to finally get one.

Aaron moved on. That was one...maybe he could get some others. Walking around, he felt something brush past him. Looking down, he was missing one of his Safari Balls. Dusknoir was already moving, floating fast towards however or whatever stole it. Aaron ran after them. Jumping over logs and braving foliage, he nearly fell into a couple of basic traps. Just what stole his Safari Ball? The blonde lost track of them, and had to use his whistle to locate them, with Dusknoir using Thunderpunch to show him the way. Walking towards the light, he soon found them. A Nickit growling at the Dusknoir, behind it the Safari Ball and a bunch of berries. Aaron grabbed the ball and walked away. He heard Dusknoir hit the Nickit from the hurt howl and felt its presence behind him. Poor thing must have thought the ball was a berry. Still dumb to steal from someone with a Dusknoir...if you wanna talk about scary ghosts, he was one. Either way, Nickit wasn't a ghost or steel type, nor evolve into one, so he ignored it and moved on.
