"Oi, ya trynna flex on me or somethin'?" Doug huffed with some mild annoyance, looking over the bloody giant muscle bug. Figures that all he got out of the bloody three day war was trauma while people out there were walking around with unique little prizes like this one.

"Should've tried bein' a bit more humble, Kazzy-boy." Doug said as he palmed a premier ball from under his sleeve suddenly, leaning back. "Ya ain't the only one who can get a bit fancy'ere."

Reeling back, the youth threw the ball in the air, releasing onto the field a... Fire... 'spider'...?

"It'll be a cold day in hell 'fore anyone shows me how to bug." Doug said as he tipped his hat, grinning. "Now then, Mr. Wynter. Show me some good judgement this time."

With a sweep of his arm, he spoke.

"Let's enjoy together this lovely summer heat!"

The air shimmered around the Heatran as her eyes flashed, nearby water boiling over as a red aura exploded outwards, surging to cover the battlefield.

"What- Dude! What do you mean how many- We made a tower together!" Doug shouted over the arena at Kazimir Wynter, waving his fist wildly at the man while the Heatran barked out in good natured laughter as the massive bug leapt from leg to leg.

What an interesting bug! It was rather different from her trainer's massive collection- weird, considering the young man boasted of having all of them...

"Oi, you keep your hands off the stove for a reason! Kuma, use Metal Head!" Ordered the youth as he swung his arm dramatically.

The Heatran planted her feet across the soil and reeled back as the bug sailed through the air towards her at highspeed, her hair gaining a gleaming, hot sheen before she threw her weight forward with a roar, her metal 'noggin' slamming against the bug man's fist with a crack that made her teeth grit tightly and her face scrunch up in pain.

"D- Damn...!" Muttered Doug, wide eyed as he slowly took a step back, his Heatran mirroring him as they gaped in awe at the flexing bug.

Having become a regular at noah faber's gym for almost a year now, the youth could immediately tell-

"He's good...!" He admitted through gritted teeth, wiping away some sweat with a beach towel. Just looking at the flexing bug made him want to hit the irons!

"D- don't be intimidated by his muscles, Kuma! You don't need to live up to those unreasonable standards!" The youth quickly attempted to reassure his magma-'spider', to which she only mewled pathetically, depressed at her flabby, metallic gut.

"Oi, yer making her self-concious!" Snapped the youth. "You wanna flex? Fine! Let's see whether those muscles are style or function! Kuma, Stone Edge!"

Kuma uttered something akin to a 'meh', before lazily reeling back and stomping on the floor. The earth tore like a see-saw, launching upwards a massive chunk of stone.

It arched through the air for a moment before descending towards the large bug!

"Take yer positivity elsewhere, we're firm believers in mediocrity here!" Doug said, quickly breaking down and laughing.

He wasn't laughing for long however, both him and Kuma letting their jaws drop as Jorgen proved that his muscles were both style and function.

"Truly a fearsome adversary..." Doug said as he tugged at the neck of his top, narrowing his gaze as the bug launched forth with arms outstretched, spinning around wildly like a tornado. "We won't back down- mediocrity needs a champion as well! Show him a real storm, Kuma!"

The Heatran's body swiftly super heated, the dirt and rock around her shimmering as it swiftly melted down, before the pokemon released a booming roar.

The magma surged around her, swirling rapidly as jets and geysers of molten rock broke through cracks swiftly spreading over the field.

"... And in summer, too." The youth groaned to himself as the volcanic-tier heat washed over him and his several layers of uniform.

"'Course it has its limits, that's why it's mediocrity!" Doug said as he rotated on his heel, grabbed his cap and swept his arm across the air dramatically, all for absolutely no reason.

"Show them true despair, Kuma! The heat of self-loathing that keeps one up in the n- Ya know what, actually can we trade roles here? I feel like gym leaders shouldn't be encouraging this even as a joke..." Doug said as he stopped his wild, dramatic flailing mid-speech, cupping his chin as his brows inched together, lips pursing.

Kuma had her orders however, and she truly let every single ounce of self-loathing in her pool in her goat as she screamed. Jorgen fast approaching, his fist smacked against her head once again as the air shimmered around her, her metallic skull glowing a telling orange as she stumbled back and forth from the blow, a little dizzy from the strike as the heat suddenly expelled out from her many pores and little volcanic craters, flooding the area and heating up the lava around her.

"Can we change roles?" Asked the youth wryly as Kuma reeled back her head and roared before slamming her feet onto the soil.

The earth cracked and trembled as it shifted under it, before it suddenly rose upwards with the titan's next step.

Surprisingly swiftly at that.

Doug's arms pinwheeled wildly as the earth under him seemed to deflate like a ballon, sinking into the ground his heatran charged ahead, the soil under it wading about like waves.

It was going to crash into the giant bug with the full might of the Earth behind it!

"It was just for the bit man, the bit!" Doug insisted, emphasizing with his hands erratically.

The Heatran yelped as the her muddy-footwear was brought to a crashing halt by the uber buff bug, nearly flying off and onto her ass. She glared down at Jorgen as the muddy mounds slowly slipped through his fingers, harrumphing angrily.

With an angry roar, she jumped up before bringing her feet crashing down unto the mud, her body slipping through and sinking into the soft soil...

Before the massive mound of earth began to glow a hot orange. A booming roar shook the arena as the temperature of the soil rose, before it began to melt down into magma and exploded outwards, revealing Kuma's glowing, angry form.
