Back where the Scyther was busy flapping its insectoidal wings as fast as he could manage, another Air Slash let rip from his direction. A sudden lashing Extrasensory came in the Scyther’s direction, however, and he was forced to fly backwards to avoid the attack—the problem is, how the hell was he supposed to avoid it if he couldn’t see it?!
He caught sight of a flicker of movement, seeing that two more Pokémon had joined the fray. An Espeon and a Gabite? Interesting choice, he thought to himself privately as the Scyther flew backwards and let out a little threatening Swords Dance in a show of intimidation at the Drampa, who attempted to Fly and slam its larger-than-life ass into the Scyther but found that she was being held down by the Sandstorm—and then a sudden Rock Tomb, accompanied by one more attempt at a Spore.
“Come on, Drampa… down,” he hissed, watching through the swirling grit of the Ground-type weather change as the giant Dragon-type let out another agitated roar, before the volume of its noise was reduced…
…and eventually fell asleep, succumbing to the swirling, howling grit.
“Huh, what do you know. See? Didn’t have to beat it to an inch of its life,” he muttered, throwing his hand up in front of his face as he inched forward before pulling out the League-issued Pokéball and dropping it atop the head, hoping that the Dragon-type would stay inside, watching as the beam of red light shot out to capture it.
He knew that bringing it in with a net was going to be Arceus-damned impossible, so to the Pokéball it went. He then watched as the Pokéball clattered down on the ground, keeping both his eyes on it as it shook, just in case it retaliated and lashed out from within the capsule’s depths.
- Marshtomp still on fire control duty with the Hydro Pump madness - Scyther attempts another Air Slash but gets hit with a retaliatory Extrasensory from the Drampa - oops? - lets Conrad take care of the rest - attempts to haul it in with a Pokéball since it's already asleep
