“Almost there Cacio! UseVolt Switch and then you turn your attention to the next guy, ok!” Mint yelled, trying to pull back the raw aggression the Rage Powder seemed to have elicited form his Luxio. Cacio, stalked forward growling at the Parasect, jaws open and fangs at the ready, sparks flying off his body as he closed in. But right as he’s about to the Gliscor darted in, easily taking him by surprise with all his focus on Bio. Cacio let out a snarl flinching as flames licked his pelt, but still kicking. [break][break]

Mint then turned to Canoli who was writhing in pain when he wasn’t shivering form the cold, sick to his stomach and coughing gently. “C’mon Canoli! A little more and you might thaw out! It’s hot enough!” he said, cheering on the Komala who simply whined pathetically.

The fight was drawing to a close, far as Doug could see; he felt bad for Mint's Koala, seeing it writhing on the floor as he was. It was well about time they put an end to this, just so it could properly rest.

"Sidon, Bio, focused fire!" The youth ordered, his voice ringing over the field to the two. With their orders given, the Gliscor attempted to wrap its body around the Luxio, fiery maw still upon it, trying to weaken it through burns while its limbs attempted to restrain it.

So Bio could attempt her Giga Drain upon and bring an end to the fight!

Sidon is using Fire Fang.
Bio is using Giga Drain.

Despite how tired the Luxio was, Cacio snarled all the same as he felt burning fangs latch onto his body. The smell of singed fur spread out far enough to make Mint’s nose wrinkle. Canoli was still writhing, the ice around him cracking and breaking off in shards around him. The Komala slid out of the block of ice before rolling onto the ground. He rolled over a couple of times letting out a pitiful cry and curling up on the ground, finally fainting. “You did good, Canoli!” he shouted before turning back to his other pokemon. [break][break]

Cacio was already squirming, a huge burn from the place where Sidon had bitten him. He sparked violently trying to get away as the Parasect began sapping whatever strength. Much like his teammate, Cacio did his best to stay upright, visibly shaking before the burn flare up like hot coals and he dropped to the ground. Mint promptly returned them to their pokeballs, smiling with relief. He hadn’t won, but at least his team wasn’t suffering anymore. “That went pretty well, right?!” he called over to the other trainer.

"Yeah it did!" Doug said as he returned his own pokemon to their netballs, jogging up to Mint with a smile. Mint seemed not quite accustomed to battles just yet- trainer battles, that is; something told him that Luxio would've been a much more dangerous opponent in a less civil confrontation.

But still, he had done quite well, and deserved a prize! With a swing of his hand, the youth produced a multi colored badge from under his many bangles, winking at mint frost.

"So well in fact, I can say with certainty that ya earned this!" He said with a smile, holding his badge towards Mint.

"As the Mauville City Gym Leader, I, Doug Sullivan, award ya, Mint, the honor badge!"
