Genesis continued to ventured further into the abounded city in hopes to find some more good pokemon to catch. Green orbs flickered to her left, spotting a bisharp lurking in the distance around the corner. With her already owning a bisharp and a poniard, the woman found no need to pursuit the steel and dark type pokemon.

Instead, she turned her attention back to Zola and was grinning ear to ear. “Oh really?” She never heard of them delivering them to trainers. It seemed like a handy service to have. “That’s cool! How does it work? Like, do you place an order on your online or what?”

"it handles like GPS" Zola explains, cheerfully "it pinpoints your cell's location and the drone delivers your products to the trainer's location" it wasn't anything fancy like teleporting but - she supposed it was cool "you have to have your location turned on when you order, and when you expect an order."

if the PokeMart had a site with a password and logins, it'd be less work but... they didn't exactly have an up-to-date website. the GPS was fine. "if you don't; the drone'll just drop your order off in your last known location." she chuckles with a shrug. noticing the other Pokemon, she lets them go by. having a Shinx, she didn't need the next line up.

"could be your house. could be the wild... it's a hassle."

“It tracks your location?!” Her expression twisted into both confusion and concern, hand rose to rest her chin between her two fingers. “Interesting. I may have to use that sometime.” She pondered for a moment as if she was devising a plan in the near future to use it before her facial features softened and a smile returned. “I normally just go to the store. I heard about that but never really thought about using it.” Her hand moved from her chin in a thumbs up. “Good to know!”

The sounds of sparks got her attention away from Zola, green orbs turned to see a large electric and steel pokemon. “Do you mind if I-?” She offered, not really giving the woman time to respond with a yes or no. “Lycanroc, can you knock that out for me please?” The canine gave her master a firm nod, turning to take the wild pokemon down. She HOWLed, boosting her attack before her fist pounded into the ground. The action made a ROCK SLIDE come crashing down on the magnezone. Sparks of electricity skipped across its steel frame, only to get buried by the rumble. Plucking yet another ball from her pocket, the woman tossed the ball to capture the wild pokemon.

Once the capture was successful, she continued their conversation while they pressed one further into the abandoned underground city. “Out of curiosity. What do you do for a living? Do you do like- high tech stuff?”

she could see the concern. Zola chuckles. "only if you let it" she corrects "a little notification comes up to turn it on, and then you can turn off your location to turn the GPS off when you're done."

a Magnazone floated by and Genesis would attempt to capture it. Zola shrugs when asked if she minded, but she really did not. a Magneton were already captured by her so she didn't want duplicates.

"oh" talk came around to what she did for a job "I'm a personal assistant. business administration; typing reports, some field work, coffee runs, etc etc" Zola rolls her shoulders again "I also provide back-up for Rangers on the field."

mapping routes, warning of danger, etc. "but for all that fancy talk, I'm also a Ranger. just a more... casual one."

With Zola’s knowledge of technology, Genesis would have assumed she worked for or in some kind of super cool technology center or business. But to her disbelief, she was nothing more than an assist. The dark haired woman blinked, surprise clearly on her expression. “Really?” She turned away, brows scrunched deep in thought before she returned with a light smile. “Well… I was wrong.” A laugh followed after.

A wild excadrill emerging from underground several feet from them help Genesis break away from the awkwardness that she created. Her green orbs flickered to the raging pokemon, motioning with a nod for the Lycanroc to take care of it. The canine let out a snarl, her own bloody colored orbs glared at the creature. In that moment, the two fought it out. The wild pokemon used some kind of move, the Lycanroc COUNTERing it easily before letting loose another ROCK SLIDE to knock it out cold. Genesis tossed a ball, mentally counting down how many empty ones she had left.

Not letting the wild pokemon stop their conversation, the woman grinned and shrugged. “I guess it’s better than not having a job,” she replied, “I just do odd jobs here and there for money when I need it.” Speaking of which, that was something that the rocket needed to do very soon. Money was getting awfully tight lately. She sighed mentally, so much for her little vacation.

Zola smirks, amused by the woman's assumptions. the tech support was her job, but her interest in them expanded beyond it. the Morpeko scurries across the floor but she lets it be. she has Cheeks; the same species on her team would be troublesome.

"Hoenn is good for odd jobs" she adds to Genesis "I'm sure you'll find something to do, but I hope for steady..." she chuckles, shaking her head. the other human seemed a good sort, so Zola hoped she could find better work.

Zola’s comment about work made her giggle in the inside. Little did this woman know, she was part of team rocket. If the rocket member kept up on her rocket jobs, money shouldn’t be too much of an issue. But of course, she was merely a grunt and had little cash flow from them. Either way, the little she knew about her source of income the better. Instead, Genesis would change the subject in hopes to keep the conversation going.

“Did you take part in that tournament last month?” She started, spotting a wild steelix snoozing up ahead. Her brows rose, surprised a wild steelix be here. Hoenn had a crazy pokemon ecosystem of pokemon. Her gaze shifted to the midnight form Lycanroc, giving it a stiff nod towards the massive beast. “I was going to be like- I just didn’t feel like it. Heard there was a crazy good prize at the end though.”

While she spoke, the lycanroc moved closer to the wild steel snake. She managed to take it down in no time at all. It must be weak. All well. She tossed the ball when they got close, snatching it when it was successful.

she'd be a piss poor officer of the law if she didn't notice suspicious behavior. like changing the subject so rapidly. Zola didn't flinch or squint; she grinned broadly. "June, right?" she muses, keeping a tidbit of healthy suspicion herself "yeah, the tournament was wild" she had been there patrolling "but I didn't participate."

a shrug. "I only train a few types of Pokémon" Zola goes on, spotting the zebra. Ion goes over to it instead of attacking, and the two electric types converse "so I'm at a disadvantage with player versus player sorta things..." she chuckles, taking out a spare Pokeball when the Blitzle comes over. the little zebra nickers and accepts.

Honestly, Genesis didn’t think about the type disadvantages she might have faced if she did partake in the tournament. With her team being mostly ghost, poison, and steel, there was probably a few selective Pokémon that could have easily took her out. The woman really didn’t think much about how she would have lost it. Genesis did have a little daydream if she won, but even that didn’t drive her to play the game. In some ways, maybe it was a good move.

Either way, the trainer casually shrugged her shoulders. “Yeah,” she replied, a fake chuckle escaped her, “I guess that would have meant I would have been at a disadvantage too.” Genesis paused for a moment, spotting the steel type stroll by behind Zola but decided to ignore it. “I mostly have ghost, poison, and steel.” Her brows scrunched, gaze lifted for a moment deep in though. “Now that I think about it… I think my Lycanroc is the only one that isn’t one of those types.” Her expression fell back into a friendly demeanor once again. “Guess I would have lost.”

"I dunno about that" she remarks, raising a hand to her chin as she views the Lycanroc "your partner seems pretty damn strong. I bet they could have tackled a few in the tourney."

the Emolga is also ignored. Zola isn't very interested in the species, which was odd considering her stance on electric types. the Emolga species never really appealed to her.
