A sudden flash of electricity came from the Dragonite that now graced the opposite side of the field, and the Charizard stared at the incoming attack.

“Ravana, don’t just gawk there!” he called from his side of the field, shifting his weight to his left leg before the Charizard suddenly threw up a blinding screen of grit—a Smokescreen attack.

Even as the Charizard backed away, the attack managed to clip her wings, and she let out an angered roar of pain.

"keep up the assault!" Siobhan would call to Tiamat. the dragon roared fiercely, clearly eager to show off the training and hard work they had done. she would unleash Hurricane to clear away the smoke.

the name of the game was distance. Tiamat would keep respectful distance between herself and the Charizard. she knew the fire lizard was fierce, and her own attacks were distance dealing. as the Hurricane raged between them, Tiamat would use Thunderbolt again. but she aimed at the twister of dragon force, adding electricity to it.

even though Hurricane had been used to clear the Smokescreen, and therefore not attack the Charizard, it still raged toward Ravana. it would be a distraction, or an attack if it hit.

“Catch ‘em by surprise!” he countered, watching as a gale-force blast of Hurricane-force winds cleared out the blinding smokescreen that also forced the Charizard backward from the point of impact.

And it was another Thunderbolt once more!

Hissing softly, the Charizard then released a draconic blast of energy toward the Dragonite, swerving mid-air to avoid the incoming Electric-type attack—a Dragon Rage attack.

It was going to be a game of distance now…

Tiamat rode close to the howling winds, letting the Hurricane soak up the Dragon Rage attack as she dodged. "Iron Tail!" Siobhan calls out. the dragon's tail would harden and shoot at the concentrated wind, more or less flapping it toward Ravana in one fell wag. the electricity almost tickled against the steel tail.

but the dragon's rage did cause Tiamat to squint in some pain as her tail fanned the approaching storm cloud. her attempt to make the Hurricane hit the Charizard would not be without some suffering. but the point was this; would it hit or would it be just another distraction while Siobhan thought of a new scheme?

And here came the close-range attack—the Charizard howled as the Iron Tail struck it, before retaliating with a close-range Slash attack in an attempt to throw off the approaching Dragonite.

“Careful!” he continued as the Charizard fell back, breathing harshly as she fought to stay airborne. There was a definite disadvantage here—at least for now.

At the same time it was a learning experience altogether.

perhaps some of the Brave Bird hit the Charizard. it wasn't as fierce as they all assumed. Siobhan sees it falter, and she keeps up the assault as long as possible. "Ice Beam." it would not be as effective as electricity but it was perhaps enough.

not giving the Charizard room to breath, the dragon would shoot a beam of ice at it. it aimed for the wings, to try and slow it down somewhat. just in case it went on the offensive and attacked directly. Tiamat was a fierce competitor - Siobhan would be reminded of this when they challenged more gyms.

The incoming blast of ice was the warning—

The Charizard met it head-on with a Flamethrower attack, desperate enough to cancel it out and to remain airborne. Another loud roar shook the area around her—she wasn’t going to go down that easily.

She wasn’t going to allow herself to get backed into a corner, either.

Siobhan's quiet, lingering call reached the dragon's ears. Tiamat's wings twitched as she unleashed another Thunderbolt at the Charizard. but far from letting it go without fuss, the dragon would shoot forward as the electricity also shot toward Ravana.

they couldn't dodge both of them - could they? either get hit by the lightning, or get hit by the sheer power of an oncoming physical attack. with no moves called out this time, it was hard to tell just what Tiamat was doing.

or if the dragon was going to simply shove the Charizard out of the air by force along.

Distance was the name of the game, it seemed.

Another crackling bolt of electricity came shooting down from the sky, and the Charizard barely managed to avoid it—although one of her wings had gotten clipped with the powerful burst of electricity.

“Ravana! Be careful!” he called out, before another Dragon Rage, a last-ditch attempt, was lobbed at the Dragonite.

Her flight pattern was weaving dangerously low now, and it was only a matter of time—or a well-placed attack—that would send her reeling.

Ravana did not really so much as dodge the incoming Dragonite than avoid the electricity. Tiamat was close - too close - and she turns to the side. her shoulder is presentable, aiming to check the Charizard brazenly in the chest.

the bolt of lightning had clipped the wings of the mighty beast. it could make her slower. Tiamat was counting on it. if she could check the Charizard, it could be over. Siobhan would win her badge. a lot was riding on this movement. for added effect, she would unleash an Iron Tail to add insult to injury.

both her shoulder and her tail shot toward the Charizard, aiming to finish this.
