His pokemon are typically well behaved. They stuck close or they at least let him or Chuchi know where they were going. That was true, at least in a tournament setting. The beach? Where the waves crashed onto sand and Wingull cried ceaselessly and stole food? Where dozens of trainers with their own pokemon moved back and forth? Where artisans and merchants loudly peddled their wares? That kind of thing was just crazy for a young pup. And while Chulito is powerful, he’s still fairly young. His evolution and strength was just a side effect of joining Andres’ team. The only reason Chuchi was still Chuchi was because she had chosen to be that way. That or….maybe that Everstone he’d lost back on his second gym challenge had really made it into her system… [break][break]

Chulito. Big boy. Still a pup. We’re moving on folks. There’s giggling surrounding him as Andres made a pass at a couple of cute girls near an ice cream cart. But it’s more so him buying them popsicles while his own melted onto his chest. “Ah..shit-” he murmured before looking back up at the girls he was with. “Wanna taste it?” One giggled, the other not so much. As she makes a quick excuse to pull her friend away from what all three now understood as a bad decision Andres merely wiped the droplet off his chest and licked it off his finger. Taste like line, salt, and sunscreen. “Aye?? Where’s Chulito?” he asked as he looked back at his spot. Chuchi was busy resting in the shade of their umbrella, while Takis dug a hole next to them. Both looked up after a moment before quickly perking up as they didn’t see the oversized Stouland. “I thought you were watching him?!” he snapped at the pair as they both gave him a look. Babysitting duties had been delegated and redelegated until no one kept track of the pup. [break][break]

The Stoutland for his part is absolutely, covered in sand. Hair is clearly damp, there’s residue of what one could only assume is maybe the remains of a slice of cheese pizza by his snout. He’s friendly enough, letting out a deep BOOF at Sol as he practically jumps up to try and lick her face. Whether or not he gets to doesn’t matter as his attention moved over to the other dogs in the area. Logi is the first on his list, having approached first. Chulito is more than happy to crouch down and bark at the Houndour to make friends. He’s already sniffing happily before headbutting the dark type to play. There’s another bark as he excited runs into their set up bumping Rygi with his nose excited to see another of his kind as well. [break][break]

As Chulito is starting to make noise, barking happily at the prospect of more friends to play with, Andres has more than enough time to spot the little rascal. “Chulito?!” he called out, though the dog ignored him, preoccupied with other dogs. The blonde ran up to him, eyebrows knit in frustration as he looked at the state of him. At least he wasn’t hurt… He opened his mouth to issue an apology only for his expression to relax, and a bright grin to pull at his lips. Maybe losing Chulito wasn’t so bad. Especially not when he picked a babe to pester. “Ay, mamita, has Chulito been bothering you for long?” His eyes flicked over to the dog, back to the redhead’s legs and then finally into her eyes. If there had been a wall or tree nearby, he would’ve leaned on it. “I’m really sorry, nenita! Can I make it up to you?” he added, already slipping in a way to ask Sol out.

“Cariño, you sure? I’d feel terrible if you left you without lunch~” the blonde insisted before turning to look over at the Stoutland who, while he hadn’t made it into any snacks, was barking and pawing at Rygi. Maybe he should’ve invested in an everstone for Chulito. Things were a little tougher when he wasn’t constantly on the road inside wide-open spaces for his dogs to run around in. At least Chulito was friendly and not aggressive. He nodded in agreement, holding back a sigh. “Yeah, he’s still a puppy at heart.” The man lamented. [break][break]

With his owner’s presence at least, it didn’t seem like Chulito would be running off soon having looked over at Andres very briefly before getting back to pestering Sol’s team. As the smaller pup approached, Andres relaxed crouching down slowly and holding out his hand to Logi. “I’m gonna assume you’re the reason Chulito stopped here.” He said gently letting the Houndour approach if he wanted to. If allowed, he would begin doting on the dual type, carefully petting his head, and scratching his back. “You a dog lover, chiquilla?” he asked looking up at the redhead. After a moment or two he would add, “Ah, I’m Andres. What can I call you?” He was still flirting but much like Chulito, Andres only had so much attention span to divide between pretty girls and cute dogs.

Andres let out a small, nervous laugh as he tried to correct himself. “I meant more- if he stole anything I would be more than happy to take you out to make up for it~” he said, allowing the little pup to jump him. He dind’t really seem too bothered but stopped trying to encourage Logi when Sol ordered him to stop. He didn’t want to interfere with her training. “He’s got energy. Puppies are a handful, huh.” He said grinning up at the ginger before looking over at Chulito. Now that he had been acknowledged, the Stoutland was trying his best to goad Rygi into playing with him, rushing up to him before jumping back at the last second. [break][break]

“Sol huh?” he echoed as if he’d misheard the woman. “I guess now I know why it’s so hot out today.” He said winking knowingly at the redhead. He stood up, dusting the sand off his knees from playing with Logi. He’s completely unaware he was already on thin ice, striding on it without a care in the world. “Good to see you, Sol~ But maybe I should’ve put on some sunglasses.” [break][break]

He finally managed to look away from his terrible courtship, and over at Chulito, currently rolling in the sand near Rygi without a care in the world. His grin softened knowing he’d probably have to be careful about letting Chulito play in such a crowed area. “Ay, if you live close by, can I get your phone number? You know for the lunch, and maybe for a play date for Chulito. It’d be good for him to make friends with other pups.” He said before nodding over at Sol’s own pup, Logi.
