and burn it down they do. calcifer and lyune create a maelstrom of fire. metal slackens, groaning, and the building goes up in smoke, and flames. a symbol of their liberation.

she watches their work from the ground, though her throat is hot and her shoulders shake with every one of lyune's wingbeats. she has still not recovered from whatever fernando did to her.

she barks a laugh. "i no longer will to beholden myself to the league." her allegiance lies elsewhere; her future has been decided.

she tilts her head, eyeing him curiously. satisfaction courses through her, an ancient pride as the flames roar around them. it takes all of her concentration to pluck herself from these callous, barbaric emotions.
