Another route could be crossed off the list. Mattis gave a small smile to himself as he walked far away from Mauville City to Route 111, to explore the area and see what creatures could be around. Arkose padded beside him, his other Pokemon resting on his belt in their Pokeballs for release.

"What do you think, Arky? We gonna see something cool today?" he asked his wolf.

The Lycanroc gave a small woof to his trainer, almost seeming to bob his head. Mattis hoped that was a yes, smiling before turning his head back in front of him.

"I hope you're right."

Mattis and Arkose walked further down Route 111, minding their own business, when all of the sudden, a Sizzlipede appeared in front of them. It took Mattis by surprise, but the Lycanroc was ready.

"Alright, Arky. Let's get past this thing and keep moving along. Use STONE EDGE!"

The move was pretty lethal to the fire and bug Pokemon, since it was weak to rock types. He hoped he could finally pass and potentially find something more interesting.

Arkose's attack was effective to the point that the Sizzlipede retreated, vanishing away from their eyes. He nodded and gave his Lycaroc a thumbs up as they trekked further down the Route.

Another Pokemon spawned in front of them, this time a Lampent. The ghostly-looking figure was a site to behold. He definitely peaked Mattis's interest.

"Alright. Let's add this one to the team!" He tossed an empty Pokeball to the Pokemon, waiting anxiously to see if it would take.
