Sol is a morning person, but even she isn’t immune to the aftermath of a night drinking in excess.

Just like with Uriah, it’s the sun that wakes her, and she groans in annoyance as she shifts – desperately moving her face away from the bright rays. But, the moment she moves is the moment she’s greeted by a pulsating headache, the pain being all too sharp and sudden.

”Fuuuck.”

She’s aware of the familiar feeling of bare skin touching bare skin, his body warm against hers, and quite honestly, she does not welcome it.

Sol is a morning person, but she hates mornings like these.

The memories of the night before come in waves, and she doesn’t bring herself to look at him just yet. Instead, she turns her attention to the window, and to those stupid curtains.

Where the fuck are her clothes?

With a heavy sigh, she moves to stand, taking one of the blankets with her.

Sol didn’t really consider that he might end up with no blanket at all, at least not until she was already getting up.

What else is she supposed to do though?

Without bothering to respond, she walks over to the window, pulling on the curtains so that they block away the obnoxious morning light. Then and only then, in this now poorly lit room, she turns to face him, and for a few seconds, she doesn’t say anything.

What is she even supposed to say?

It’s not that she feels awkward, or that she’s upset, it’s just that she knows that she can’t give him what he currently wants from her.

So, she just sighs once again, and she returns to sit by the edge of the bed so he can take back most of the blanket.

”...Do you know what time it is?”

She doesn’t know where her phone is, so how could she tell?

[attr="class","uriah"]relief comes when the curtains are inevitably drawn close. he exhales, sinking into the mattress before peering up to meet her silence. he's far too tired to even consider how awkward it is; he's just glad she's still here.

so he shifts a little closer when she sits, slipping underneath the blanket before a hand reaches out for her.

at her question, he can only groan as he shakes his head, which makes his headache even worse.

"too fucking early."

looking up at her, he asks:

"are you in a rush, sol?"

Usually, she would find it dumb but kind of endearing, but this morning, because of her headache and because of how tired she is, it is nothing but exhausting.

Keep her cool as she always does, because that’s the only way Sol knows how to navigate life – emotionlessly.

She turns to look at him, her gaze serene and her expression impassive.

”I should go, yeah. I have things to do today.”

It’s not a lie, and it doesn’t sound like it either.

It’s Uriah’s fault for expecting more from her.

at this, he slows down when putting on his shirt just a bit, smiling as he nods, though with his back turned to her it's not like she could see it regardless.

"alright."

and after putting on sweatpants, he steps away, pointing to the wardrobe over his shoulder as he leaves the room.

"you can borrow clothes if you want. your dress smells."

outside, he starts preparing the uriah hangover special, which is really just extra greasy bacon, scrambled eggs, and french toast.

But, this time, Sol appreciates it, because she’d rather this than him trying to sweet talk her and act like he knows what’s best for her.

Things like those are annoying, and they’re extra annoying when hungover.

She slides on her dress, smoothing down the now wrinkled fabric, and at his comment, she does no more than watch him leave. It’s uncalled for, and unnecessary, and she really wonders if he’s listening to himself....

Probably not, although the honesty is welcomed even if spoken in a rude way.

Instead of following after him, she goes to the bathroom to fix up her hair – or try to, at least. She ties it up in a ponytail, but what remains of her makeup is still a mess, so she quickly washes it off before heading to the kitchen.

The scent is as familiar as it is overwhelming, and it makes her realize how hungry she is.

[attr="class","uriah"]honestly, uriah's struggling to stay awake or even to stay upright, really, as he finds himself needing to lean against the fridge to support him as he watches bacon sizzle in the pan. he blinks, slow, and is caught off guard when sol finally appears.

he jumps only slightly, but plays it off by clearing his throat.

"yep. it'll be ready in like a minute, i promise."

moving the bacon off the fire, he moves another pan on, throws butter in, and pours the egg mix in, stirring occasionally.

it's only then that he tilts his head over to look at her. unable to stop himself, he smiles and says:

"you look great for someone with a hangover."
