Lila’s journey hadn’t meant to go this far.

All she wanted to do was watch a few Whismurs at play. Observe how loud one could truly be after a little scare, which happily, she had done — but not without the repercussions. She felt the ringing as her hand uncomfortably pressed onto her left ear, a horde of Whismurs scattering away into the fog. Their echoes within the tunnel had both she and her Phantump disoriented. Lila was hardly able to concentrate on anything aside from the hard rock wall behind her back, crouching down against it.

Xatu, and even more so her Mother would be upset if she hadn’t returned home. She promised that she’d be more careful when she was out alone but, here she was, unable to tell which path led to Verdanturf and how far Mauville Hills was from that. ”Phantump… do you remember?” Lila whispered, gazing at her friend float beside her. They shook its head. The Pokémon was as unsteady as she was.

[break][break] Lila wasn’t scared of the cloudy and eerie surroundings, though, she was visibly nervous about finding her way back; pulling her knees up to her chest and letting out a hushed whimper. The headache would be over soon, she hoped. The thought of being stuck here all night had her feeling a little overwhelmed.

The eeriness of the places sent a shiver to the bone, an audible gulping sounds can be heard from Tara as she tries to shakes off her nervousness. Tara is not really comfortable to be around this kind of place alone like this but she has no choice as she needs to patrol and see if there is anything wrong is happening around here. "I am not alone... I am not alone..." Tara murmurs as she hugs Sharkie, Sharkie looks angry but there is no sign of her trying to break free.

It doesn't take a long time for her to encounter something unusual. A child crouching as if she is being lost. The presence of the child alleviate her fear and a confidence smile appears on her face as she approaches the child after releasing Sharkie from her embrace. "Hello, little girl... Are you lost? I am Tara and I am with the police, perhaps I can help you with something?"

A normal child would jump at such a scene. Fortunately, for the stranger holding the Sharpedo, Lila was not one of them.

An expression of curiosity hung below the redheaded woman. While Lila's headache still lingered around her thoughts, she felt relieved to be found so soon. ”The… police?! Oh no. I promise I didn’t do anything bad.” Out of all the loan sharks, debt collectors, and criminals her Mother knew, authority was always taught to have the reddest flags. Lila knew she needed any adult to guide her home, though. Or perhaps that was simply an excuse to get to know the other presences more.

Standing up, Lila weakly nodded as her ghost friend circled around her for support. ”The whismurs here. I don’t think they like me very much. I-I tried to get them to like me. But all they do is run away.” The soft giggles after her Phantump’s Feint Attacks clearly weren’t enough to tell them they were joking. She wanted to hear those cute Whismur screams and it came with a wobbly and regrettable price.

There is something off about the little girl, something eerie about her but Tara unable to say what it is. However, Tara can't turn back now, especially from an unscientific hunch like that. "Of course you don't little Lila, if you do - You won't meet the nice Tara now" Tara teases Lila, ruffling the top of her head playfully.

"Hmm... Trying to befriending a wild pokemon can be tricky. I heard there are some tricks about it but I am afraid that I don't know what it is" Tara say, scratching her chin as she ponders trying to remember. "Well, you can try again later if you feel dizzy to the point not able to remember where you are from." Tara tells Lila, looking around trying to remember the direction - Fortunately, she remembers.

"Well, follow me for now... Oh this is Sharkie my partner. Sharkie, say hi and please don't bite" Tara introduce her sharpedo and warns her a step too late as she open wide her mouth revealing sharp razor teeth and snap it close right in front of Lila really close. Tara chopped the top of her head as she swim on the air, whining feeling guilty. "Bad Sharkie! No treats for you later"

"Sorry about that, I will lead you the way now" Tara takes the hand of Lila without any permission and starts to pull her. "You here only with your pokemon?"
