nothing more needs to be said.

the movie plays on in the background, the luxray peacefully sleeps (only slightly disturbed but thankfully, kachow is a heavy sleeper), and all is well.

by the time his eyes return to the tv, the movie's already well into its third act.

still, his attention remains elsewhere.

Probably, and she does feel a little bad once it's all said and done and it becomes obvious that the movie is almost over, but it’s not like this was just her choice, was it? They can always watch it again some other day…

Would watching the movie again end the same way it did today? Probably, but that’s not a bad thing, is it?

Staying.

Two words that at times have been charged and full of meaning between them. Two words that sometimes leave a bitter taste in Sol’s mouth, for they come attached to painful memories she’d rather not think about.

Will he leave, or will he really stay?

In this case, on this night, will she stay?

The kiss is gentle and sweet, and it brings a soft smile to her lips.

”Oh, do you? Alright, I’ll stay, but you better not cling to me.”

She smirks then, always prone to tease him at any chance she gets.

”Uriah, are you saying you think I’m too heavy for you to have carried me before?”

What she’s doing should be more than obvious, especially once the faintest of smirks begins to tug at her lips.

his hand slides down to rest at her waist, holding on while he slowly rises to his feet. he does his best not to grunt, but he does, and it isn't out of exasperation or anything. he's just tired...

and with that, his hands move to support her weight before he starts walking over and into the bedroom.
